Super unique! Very walkable to all the fun stuff downtown. I give this place 4.5 stars. My only beef is its terribly expensive for a 1 bathroom and the living room is cool, but uncomfortable. Great for insta pics and all that, but if you think you're gonna unwind an watch a scary movie its not gonna happen. The couches are more decorative. Big kitchen with everything that you'd have at home. And whoever was the decorator...the detail is impeccable.

Really appreciated the effort that was put into the decor of the property. All the little things made it a very cool place. Also appreciated that it was only a short walk to all the attractions but far enough way that it was not busy. Driving up we were a little concerned as the curb appeal is not great, but we had zero issues. Our only challenge was sleeping as the house is very old and the upstairs occupant was up late making it tough to sleep. They were not very loud but with a house of this age walking around, the TV being on, and their dog made for some sleepless nights. We had mistakenly assumed from the listing it was a single occupancy home so this was not ideal.

What an incredible place! So spooky! Thank you for putting so much time and effort into acquiring all the items that fit the theme, down to the plates & soap dispensers. Really easy checkout, too!

Whoever decorated this place REALLY got into the fun theme, which is why we chose to stay here during our time in Salem. It was the perfect place for us. We parked, unloaded, and did not get back into our car for 3 days until it was time to leave - we walked EVERYWHERE. The beds were comfy, the kitchen serviceable, the washer & dryer appreciated. The only negative was that during our stay, the people above us were very loud at night (they appeared to have been awake and active all night one night, including their little dog). We used a rain soundtrack after that and slept fine, and I don't know if they're always there or if that's a vrbo, too, but wanted to note it. Even so, still giving this experience 5 stars because it's exactly what we wanted from our time in Salem!

Exceeded my expectations! If you’re a Halloween lover, you won’t want to miss this experience ❤️🎃

Perfect Salem getaway. Definitely sets the mood. Only thing I would improve is more comfortable and more seating in the parlor. Not enough room for the group to comfortably watch a spooky movie.
Thank you!

This VRBO is a nice little way to get the "whole Salem" experience, it is very appropriately themed and does not miss a beat in terms of embracing its halloween charm. It is in easy walking distance from downtown Salem and the harbor so you can avoid having to hassle with parking which can be a bit hairy downtown.

Our whole family enjoyed the Warlock house. It was an easy walk into the downtown area so we didn’t have to worry about parking. We made use of the washer/dryer which was nice. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The bathroom was a little tight for a family of 5, but was fine for the two nights we were there. I loved being able to turn the candles on and off with a switch.

The Warlock House is the only place you should stay in Salem. The pictures are incredible but they don’t even do this place justice. Once you walk through the front door, you are transported into another place and time. It is absolutely magical. Each room’s theme is like none other. The attention to details are just mind blowing It has all of the amenities and then some. My friends and I enjoyed our stay so much and we absolutely will be back

From the moment we crossed the threshold of The Warlock House, we were spellbound by its enchanting atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of Salem, Massachusetts, this vacation rental is a masterpiece of Halloween-inspired decor and ambiance, perfect for those seeking an immersive experience in the town renowned for its witchy history.
Every room in the house whispers tales of magic and mystery with exquisite attention to detail. The bedrooms are a gothic dream, each room is different. Mine was bathed in moody hues of purple and orange, offering a cozy retreat with delightfully themed bedding that beckons restful nights. Wall sconces cast a ghostly glow, adding to the spectral charm that fills the space.
The living areas are a macabre delight, adorned with vintage furniture that seems to have a story of its own, and accents like candlelit mantles and bewitching artifacts that evoke an eerie yet elegant vibe. It's clear that the proprietors are connoisseurs of the occult and Halloween aesthetics, presenting a space that feels both hauntingly beautiful and inviting.
The kitchen and dining area continue the spellbinding theme, with crimson lighting that could easily be the setting for a coven's banquet. Even in this space, the theme is meticulously maintained, ensuring that the enchantment never wanes. Not only was the house's visual allure impressive, but the customer service was equally phenomenal.
The hosts extended their hospitality with a complimentary bottle of wine—a thoughtful touch that was much appreciated. It was gestures like this that made our stay feel personalized and special.
Salem itself was a wonder to explore, with friendly locals adding to the charm of our visit. The Warlock House, with its central location, served as the perfect base from which to enjoy the town's offerings.
For those planning a visit to Salem, The Warlock House should be at the top of your list for accommodations. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s an integral part of the Salem experience. This house is more than a rental; it's a portal to another realm, ensuring a stay that is nothing short of magical.

My two sisters and I stayed at the Warlock house for a weekend getaway to celebrate a birthday. This place is truly awesome! We loved the scroll of spells, such a cool and different feature for the stay. All of the details (big and small) are perfect! We loved the different room themes, the different lighting options, the witchy plates, silverware, cups, quija coffee table, cutting boards, coasters every last detail is perfect. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash they provide is so nice and feels of great quality. Also In each room, there is a variety of pillows on the bed and in the closet so you have options for the different "pillow sleepers" in your group. All 4 of the beds are super comfortable! The owner is quickly responsive and ensures that we are having a great stay! I seriously cannot say enough great things about this place, the experience is worth every dime! We plan on visiting again in the future.

We were looking for an interesting place to stay for our trip to Salem and we found it in The Warlock House! If you are a Halloween enthusiast, this is the place for you. The website shows the love the owners put into this home and the spooky theme.
The home was spotless and the location was very quiet. We loved that each room was different and everything from the décor to the dishes to the special 'incantations' for Alexa added some extra fun. All the lighting was clearly labeled and we enjoyed trying different color combinations. The beds were super comfy after a long day of sightseeing and I loved trying out the different room sprays for an aromatherapy experience. This rental is almost like an attraction in itself!
The location is great and easily walkable to any of the Salem museums, restaurants and activities.
I appreciated the detailed emails about check in/ out, how to find the property, parking at the site as well as in town, things to see & do in and around Salem. The welcome gift was also a nice touch. I would give it 10 stars if I could and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My daughter who is 9 LOVES Hocus Pocus and especially the witches. We decided to come to Salem to learn about the witches for a fun long weekend. We wanted the house we stayed in to play the part as well and this place was amazing. The details that went in to creating this experience was nothing short of amazing. There are even spells that you can say alexa and they work! The kids loved this. The house was VERY clean the kitchen had everything we need, even little caldron bowls! The kids also loved that. We would definitely stay here again if we were to make the trip and highly recommend that you do as well. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows as well and enough towels for all. The ages of my kids who stayed in this house were 7, 8, and 9. While it could look a little spooky at times, they enjoyed the details of the house more than were afraid of them.

We loved staying here, it’s exactly like the pictures only cooler to see in person! Such a fun house when you want the spooky theme of Salem. We really enjoyed the blackout curtains & being able to sleep in the dark 🙌🏼 not many places do this. Very clean property! I loved all the detail they put into each room. 10/10 we would stay again!

The decoration of the accommodations was absolutely amazing. It's perfect for those that want to get witchy and spooky. By far the best themed place I've stayed. Location is a very short walk to downtown area with all the shops and tours, less than 10 minutes walking. I would absolutely stay here again.
10.0 / 10.0
This place was fantastic, really a magical rental, where the hosts have not neglected a single detail. We loved it! Went for my daughter's 10th birthday, and she was completely enchanted.
8.0 / 10.0
Obviously this place is over-the-top with witchy delight - my teen daughters and I loved it. It's a 10 minute walk to all of the major attractions and easy to find. Only drawback of the place is that if you actually have 6 people (it sleeps six), there is only (not very comfortable) seating for 4 in the living room - it looks cool, but a real couch to relax on would be nice! This was a last minute trip for us, so it was literally the last bed available in town, so I might not have splurged normally - that said, it did add to the experience. Clean, fun, and a safe area.
