Wonderful family resort - but if you want an adult friendly place, this is not the place for you. We had a magnificent swim-out room in the 18+ section, but unfortunately the kids club was right out front and the basketball court right outside our door.

Mini bar not stocked after second day even after asking
A good place if you like screaming kids and crying babies
Food is nothing special. Terribly overrated a la carte restaurants
Never returning to this overpriced hel enjoy the Barcelo a few buildings over. Much better

Beware all families traveling with children over 2 years. We had book via Expidia / Hotels.com and when we checked in the hotel claimed that the price we had payed was only for 2 adults and that we hadn’t paid for our 4 year old son (1,5 year old toddler was free of charge). They refused to check us in and we had to pay 890€ extra for our child.
Took me 7 days to get it sorted out with the hotel and got my money back because they wouldn’t answer anything for several days so our holiday was ruined because this refund lasted so long.
Kids are very well taken into consideration at the hotel.

Bahia Fantasia was a fantastic hotel. It was spotlessly clean, staff were friendly and helpful and there were lots of activities for the whole family. The food was excellent with lots of choice on offer. Would definitely stay again.
4.0 / 10.0
Hotel was generally great with loads of space around the pool, room was nice with good views, a wide selections of food options, staff were friendly and there was always loads of activities.
Only negatives are I become unwell believed due to food (due to questionable taste of an item and symptoms) and not saying it’s related but many of the cups and plates often looked like they hadn’t been cleaned properly, life guards around the pool had next to nil focus on the pool, so don’t assume they are watching, some areas like outdoor stairs need a bit of a refurbishment with lights hanging off the steps, there was some loud refurbishment work taking place which it would have been nice to know about and the evening shows are a bit repetitive.

Second stay here, the kids love it and we had a great time. Lovely food, great staff,
Clean and lots of entertainment

I'll begin by saying the resort on the whole is good.
The issue for me was the finer details where you expect those to be of a higher standard for a 5* hotel. Poolside cups were so unappealing, the buffet felt at times like a school canteen, and on occasions how our rooms were 'cleaned' was scatty to say the least, with items not replenished and with us on a couple of occasions having to call reception to get items such as toilet rolls sent up.
All that said, we had a lovely 8-night break and the whole group would return, but if they focused on a less is more approach, and nailed those finer points, this hotel/resort would be the gem of the Spanish islands when it comes to all-inclusive family holidays.

We were at the hotel for a large family celebration with a wide range of ages. Everyone had a great time and we would definitely recommend the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights during August along with three other families. The hotel is huge and beautiful and staff are very friendly. There is something for everyone, whether you fancy the adult pools, children's pool area, kids games room, spa or the infinity area. We stayed in the junior suite and we had the most beautiful sea view where you could walk along accessing the gate with your wrist band. These gates get locked at 8pm but you can still get back by walking around to the front. Lovely scenery! Our room was lovely and spacious and very clean. It is quite windy but still very warm. I needed a cardigan the first two nights but after that it warmed up. The buffet was ok, as expected. It can get repetitive, so it was great to break it up with the three restaurants that are included within the all inclusive package. These were booked prior to arriving through their app. Asian, Italian and the steak house. They were all great but my favourite was the Asian restaurant. It was spot on! You are also entitled to two shows which were great! Again, you will need to book through their app. For those that don't fancy the buffet during lunch, there is a fast food option by the pool area where you can order burgers, chicken wings, chips and plenty of salads and fruit. Imagine ordering at McDonald's, same way using your room number.
I also recommend you check in online prior to arrival as this will save you time.

A huge hotel with everything you need during your stay. Very close to the airport (15 minutes drive). Lots of choice for food and entertainment.

Review from the point of view of a couple without kids:
We stayed in the adults only swim up suite, overlooking the sea. The room and pool were stunning and the seaview location was very quiet, which some may like. If you prefer pool noise, request to have a swim up suite that's overlooking the pool.
There is an adults only infinity pool which overlooks the sea. There is a security guard manning the area some of the time, however for a part of the day, nobody keeps watch and many adults choose to bring their children into the pool. This was disappointing as although we realise it's a child friendly hotel, we chose to stay here under the assumption that we could relax in an adult only area. The remainder of the hotel is child friendly so we hoped that this small area would be our peaceful zone. This was the biggest flaw in our opinion.
Other than this, it's a great hotel with lots on offer. If you are a family with children, it's a great place to stay.

A fantastic hotel, brilliant pools, good food and great staff.
Probably the best family hotel I've stayed at all things considered.
A few downside, the snack bar queue is too long and the kids disco and kids evening entertainment is basic.

It's a beautiful hotel, very clean and modern. Rooms are a good size and the kids club is great as you can leave the kids with them.
I felt a lot of the staff didn't know much about other areas, so the reception staff were the best people to ask questions.
I wish they had a lot more entertainment too. Food was ok, but pretty much the same must of the time, especially the food under the castle.
Good holiday overall though

Amazing hotel for families with young children. Lots for them to do, slightly disappointed a few things have stopped since our last stay (toiletries in the bathrooms and ice cream during the day). Only thing I’d change is the timings for lunch/dinner as it’s quite late for young children, otherwise would highly recommend

We experienced a lot of negative reviews about this property (independent facebook group) but I have to say we saw, nor experienced any issues and in fact lived our family holiday and the hotel itself. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone with children.

Really enjoyed our stay at the resort. Staff and facilities were both great. Only disappointment was that we paid extra for a sea view room, which we got along with a huge tree blocking the view. Would definitely go back again for another holiday.

This hotel should be perfect in every way. Sadly, we were there when some major construction was happening resulting in a large area being out of bounds. The construction then expanded into areas that were still open such as in the toddler splash pool. We had to stop our son using it as there were tools left lying around and open drains etc. Various areas randomly were taped off at different times so overall the hotel just didnt feel safe with a 2 year old so we were always a bit on edge. When we mentioned this to reception, they said they didnt think it was unsafe (despite us showing photos of another child picking up tools left at the side of the pool!) and even when we wrote a formal complaint, reception said they couldn't do anything about it and passed us the email of head office. Head office sent a standard 'sorry you were inconvenienced' letter but have failed to address the actual problem! The resort looks stunning and without the construction work, im sure it would have been fabulous. The a la carte restaurants are definitely where you want to eat as the buffet is loud, repetitive and generally just mediocre food. The shows are great and the rooms are fantastic.

Place is lovely. Very clean and looks modern. The three restaurants you can book are nice, the Asian isnt the best. The buffet is manic. Its too small for the amount of people there. You cannot hear yourself at some points. The pools are clean, tidy and waters warm. Kids loved the waterpark. The towel/sunbed situation is not good at all. Daily, i had to wake up at 6:45am, just to get 4 sunbeds. Some days, this was too late. They need to manage people just leaving their towels on the beds more as one day, next to us they didnt arrive until 3pm and the towels were there from 6:45am!
All in all, a good holiday for a reasonable price.

We had a lovely holiday with 3 kids aged 3-8. The pools are very well maintained with a range of deep pools and the splash pools for the little one. The buffet is better than average but not brilliant for vegetarians and food wasn't always labelled. The drinks are good quality with a large selection for everyone with plenty of cocktails both alcoholic and non. Would definitely reccomend for a family holiday.

Great for the kids, they really enjoyed the shows, as did we.
1.0 / 10.0
The stay was absolutely fine, we had great weather. The kids really enjoyed themselves; entertainment and kids club was very good and a good staff to kids ratio.
The food at the buffet was good, but the restriction on number of a la carte dining bookings was a little strange, and through the app it was all fully booked even though there was plenty of seats available.
Pools were good and clean, plenty of sun loungers available. The splash pool was closed towards the end of our stay for maintenance but didn’t see anyone urgently working on anything in particular so that was frustrating.
Rooms were clean and well presented, and were very well soundproofed and lightproof, so getting the kids to sleep was easy.
I’ll be honest we didn’t get to try any of the adult entertainment but it looked like people were having a good time.
My biggest issue, which unfortunately has left a really sour taste in my mouth, was that the hotel charged an additional 27% (of the total stay) upon check-in citing an error in the booking (2 infants where we had 1 infant and 1 child). The booking was made via Hotels.com and although they tried to resolve the issue, the hotel remained unresponsive to any, and all, requests. This meant that hotel was not good value for money, and I remain extremely irritated that there is nothing that can be done.
In fact, I will not be recommending anyone stay at this hotel unless they book directly with Bahia, and certainly be wary of Hotels.com prices from now on.

We enjoyed our stay. However, there was construction being done while we were there and a foul odor of sulfur coming from the construction. Most staff very friendly, but there were a couple who were rude. Need drink menu. Only permitted one show, had to pay for others. Only permitted one restaurant reservation per visit.
