We were hoping for quiet, in nature and near water and that’s what we got. The property is as pretty in person and it is in the pictures lots of privacy. The room is very nice, full bathroom, comfy bed. The hosts are wonderful, gave great directions, loads of suggestions for things to do. Always willing to do more. I hope we get the chance to stay here again!

The cabin was nice. The owner was okay at communication. Nothing really stuck out good or bad. You can hear the owner walking around as they are living above you. It seemed more secluded on the listing than it actually was. It was good but nothing special

Had the most amazing anniversary hosted by Greg and Shelly on their beautiful property. If you’re a lover for nature, you should check out this cool place. Close to the river and all, you could gear the water flowing all night rocking you to sleep. Swimming by the clearest pond while having a bonfire and enjoying some treats. Couldn’t even believe this wonderful place is not so far away from the busy city. It was very private and yet the most amazing experience. Words can’t describe how amazing this place was, you just have to check it out yourself.

Greg and his wife were great hosts and provided such prompt information before our stay and gave us a warm welcome, then all the privacy from there on in.
I would highly recommend staying here as the feeling is so comforting and relaxing.
Everything we needed was provided for us.
Greg, was so thoughtful to attend to the hot tub before we arrived to make sure it was fully operational. It was just a little on the hot side and we weren't sure how to turn it down,
so that may be a question to ask beforehand.
Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. It's a beautiful property!

This property way exceeded our expectations. It was five minutes from town, but so remote! We literally were outside all day. The air was fresh hand the sounds of the river soothing. Inside, there were so many thoughtful elements. We just loved this space.

A beautiful setting! We could not have asked for a more picturesque view. Our only regret is that we did not have as much time to spend there due to other commitments in the area. Greg & Shelley were super nice and just an email away if we needed something. We cannot wait to return and spend time on the various relaxation decks and hiking trails.

Our stay in the Glamping Suite was for 3 nights after disembarking a cruise in Vancouver. We were blown away the minute we walked around the area. The privacy of the private decking and BBQ area as well as having access to the further seating area across the river was more than expected. Being inside the suite is also private and gives you a beautiful feel of living in a cabin in outback Canada. You can make an open fire, have a BBQ and enjoy dipping in the water too. We used the hot tub as well which is a perfect size for two people. The surroundings make it feel so tranquil and relaxing after spending the day hiking in Golden Ears Park. The Glamping Suite is right at the start of the park and you can walk directly to the entrance and to the paths.
Greg and Shelley greeted us when we arrived and then after that were very easily contactable on messages, their response was immediate. They allow complete privacy and we never noticed them even though they are living just next-door. There was plenty of advice on where to walk, where to access groceries and local places to grab food and drink which was so helpful. I recommend a car if staying here which we had but the drive from Vancouver City is 50 minutes and beautiful scenery along the way. We found this was the perfect location for us but we didn't plan to spend any evenings in the main city of Vancouver. We only wish we could have stayed longer but we plan to be back!

Couldn't believe this place is so close to Vancouver. It was great escape, can't wait to return. The combo of cold plunging and hopping in the hot tub was amazing.

We loved our stay at Greg's and Shelley's little magical retreat was absolutely amazing. :-) They went above and beyond and the place was cozy, clean and comfy and had everything and then some one needs for a get- and hide-away stay. The actual place is a little Oasis and how one pictures BC Nature to be. :-)

My parents were visiting us from Ontario and I booked Shelly and Greg’s retreat for them as our house is too small to host family. The property is a beautiful oasis right beside Golden Ears Park. The many wood patios and deck areas were great to visit with my parents. The Alouette River runs directly beneath and the calming sound is so nice to relax. My parents Mary and Lloyd enjoyed the soft high bed and the hot tub and gardens. They used the kitchen for breakfast and lunch and BBQ on the patio of dinner. We enjoyed a family get together on deck and a swim in the river. Enchanting and charming gardens and surrounding forest. Shelly and Greg are incredible hosts and brought fresh blue berries and goodies for my parents. We will absolutely book with them again!

This idyllic location was amazing! The hosts were friendly and very helpful, and the property is slice of heaven. I was able to stay unplugged from work the entire time, although the great quality WiFi made it so we had access if need be. The bed was cozy and the hot tub was a fantastic way to wind down from our daily adventures.

The sound of the running water hooked me when I opened the car door. It is absolutely amazing here. We spent 4 nights. It is about an hour drive to Vancouver but worth it to stay in such a beautiful place. On our last day we drive over to Harrison Hot Springs. If you go book the lake cruise ahead of time. You cannot book it there. It is a very nice place to visit and check out the local farms. My favorite was the Lavender farm.

Beautiful property and such a cute room! Came for a little solo rest and relaxation and couldnt have picked a better place. Hosts were very well prepared and the place was even better than described. Only complaint was that the weather wasn't nice enough to float on the river!

We stayed at Greg and Shelly's suite. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. I cannot stress enough how impressed me and my girlfriend were by this stay. Everything about what Greg and Shelly have built is smart, impressive, and accomodating. Best bnb style place we have ever stayed. The suite has room for two, was very clean, and the kitchenette comes stocked with a few goodie items to get you started on the trip. My girlfriend loved the heated bathroom floor. Right outside your door you have a private 2 person hottub which was essential after our two days hiking in Golden Ears (this place is the last driveway closest to the park entrance). From there you can walk down across the suspension bridge (which Greg built, impressive!) to enjoy breakfast on the island by the river. The river sounds relax you the entire stay. They also have a glamping tent on the property (separate bnb) which is seriously impressive. It looks like a house on the inside. Glamping is an understatement for how comfortable it looks. I would recommend staying here to anyone. There is not a single bad thing or even a nit pick to find.

Greg and Shelley were excellent hosts. Their property was beautiful and so much attention spent on the details, lit up pathways, outdoor seating, little surprises in the woods, and seconds away from Golden Ears Park. Highly recommend this property for a peaceful getaway!

Lovely quaint stay in the woods but also close enough to town. Once we got there we didn't want to leave, a great escape from the city. Greg was great and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Will try and be back for the summer season when we can take full advantage of their amazing river walkways and patios.

Greg and Shelly were amazing hosts. The directions to their place can be tricky, so they preemptively sent us directions and reached out via text to confirm our arrival. The suite is extremely private, even though they are living on the other side of the house. It’s very cozy, the pictures don’t do it justice. There was even a massage table and everything needed for hot rocks. The kitchenette had Kraft dinner, oatmeal, popcorn, coffee, various other snacks, as well as fresh milk and condiments used for bbqing. The bathroom had heated floors, and 5 lighting options. The out door bbq area was very well kept, and the Suspension bridge out to the private island was a very peaceful spot to hang out. Overall the property was stunning and the suite was far above expectations!
