Comfortable room with view to the golf course and sea. Great value. I didn’t eating the restaurant this time but I have on several previous stays and it was very good.

Just what was required. Small single room but with all you need including ‘a golf view’! Very friendly and helpful staff and a lovely breakfast. All good for a great price 👍

Fantastic location and view. Staff very friendly and provided great service, food in restaurant to good standard. Room on the basic side but provided good value. Star knocked down due to small but easy things that could be fixed. For example nowhere to hang a towel and communal areas looking tired. Benches outside could do with a repaint, pathways jet washed and weeds removing. Would return

Booked a wee 2 night stay with my husband to celebrate our anniversary, the room we wanted had no availability so looked through the rooms and picked another one that looked good. On arrival at hotel, reception staff work the bar too so it’s just your luck if someone is at reception or you have to go to bar and find someone.
Got to our room (13) the smell was horrendous, didn’t look as if the bathroom and been cleaned properly, cups were stained, room was very dark and dingy due to a wall halving the room. There wasn’t any rooms available so had to make do with what we had, end of the day it was just a place to get our head down. However at night, walls are paper thin, could hear every noises from rooms either side and corridors, the door to the entrance to the annex’s slams and ignorant guest allowed this to happen. If you think your getting a lie in, think again the annex is so loud and from 7am all you could hear was loud talking, showers, doors banging. House keeping starts at 10, so if you’re there just to relax get up at your leisure forget it.
Check out was a simple case of a cleaner by chance passing and taking the key from us, no how’s was your stay or small talk just thanks and away she went.
This is the second time we’ve stayed at the hotel and I see issues haven’t improved from our first stay, when we travelled up to find out our room had been flooded and had been but in a tiny room instead. No phone call or anything.
Won’t be giving them another chance

My room had a lovely sea view and overlooked the golf course. below. The hotel is set on the side of a hill, so there is a drop down to the course and onto the seaside. It was rather fun to watch the people walking past as they played the game.
The room was comfortable and very clean. It did have a little fridge which pleased me, as I prefer to have fresh milk than the little long-life containers supplied. But they are available, along with tea and coffee options.
I did eat in the restaurant and there was a nice selection on the menu to choose from.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
It was convenient location for the coastal walks, plus a few local shops to choose something different to eat or a small grocery to purchase the milk and other items if needed.
There is an on-site parking area but there is also a bus service within a very easy walk.
Overall I would stay again if the opportunity occurred.

Some family were travelling from further south on the day of a funeral and when asked if they could book in early so they could change in time for the funeral the staff were very helpful.

The hotel was good and the staff were very good. The restaurant food was excellent. Massive selection of food, all freshly prepared. Prices were very reasonable in today’s climate.
Great views to the sea and along the coast from my bedroom. Plenty free parking.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Golf view Hotel , was greeted immediately with a friendly smile , upgraded from single to double room with fantastic view and sound of the sea, A quiet fridge with two complimentary bottles of water . Bed was very comfortable, lovely fresh and fluffy towels . I didn’t stay for the £13.95 breakfast, as I just take tea and toast in the morning, maybe they could offer a continental breakfast at £6.95 for guests like me . Overall fantastic stay and would recommend it highly

A place of real quality. I had a superb sea/ golf course view which was a great room. The restaurant was an absolute must to visit, brilliant food and very well priced for what you got on your plate, hardest thing was deciding what to choose from the menu. Also must mention the staff who couldn’t do enough to help you.

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff and great view over the golf course looking towards the sea

My third stay at Golf View. The value is incredible, rooms are totally modern and well appointed. I booked the lowest cost single room but was upgraded to a double with sea view - PERFECT. The December weather was terrible -wind, rain and cold - but having an excellent restaurant meant I didn’t have to go out and had an excellent steak in-house.

Used to drink here when stayed in Lossiemouth when younger so knew property. Hotel side of stay, rooms comfy but general maintenance & upkeep has a lot to be desired for pricevof rooms. Served its purpose for 1 night stay.

Excellent! Stunning views out over the golf course & onto the sea beyond. Amazing sunsets to watch from the window with a glass of wine. Fridge in the room which was unexpected & very useful. Very clean. Peaceful & quiet at night. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel is in a very handy spot with parking available. The food is good, especially the breakfast. The staff are pleasant. I would have given the top smiley face but unfortunately our room was missed and not cleaned one morning.

General condition of our room was well below average.
Bathroom stunk, bathroom flooring was lifting all over.
Toilet flush sounded like a fighter jet taking off.
Curtains had cigarette burns all over.
Bathroom towels were like sandpaper.
Terrible value for they charged.

Super hotel right on the edge of the golf course overlooking the sea, nice outside area. If we’re back in Lossiemouth we will certainly stay here again.

Clean simple room with wonderful view of the lighthouse, golf course and Moray Firth. Very good dinner in the restaurant

There was nothing bad about the hotel per se, staff were friendly and rooms were comfortable for a 2 night stay. There were just a couple of things that could be improved upon. The reception staff were obviously covering the bar as well, which meant that if the bar was not open there was no staff around, not that I could find anyway. Ended up having to check out by leaving my key on the desk and hoping for the best. I was in a room in what appears to be an extension to the hotel. The showers were not the best, with not much water pressure and every time you flushed the toilet, the whole hotel knew as there was an awful noise resonating through the rooms. There is a car park, but I did not use it as it was at the bottom of an extremely steep gravel hill and the smallest amount of snow or ice and your car would be stuck down there.

Fabulous friendly staff, delicious plentiful breakfast and we ate in the restaurant twice and the food was outstanding with huge portions. You really don’t need to go anywhere else for food.

Just stayed two nights in a room which was accessed by a length of stone steps to an annex below the hotel. Adequate accommodation which a superb view over the Moray Firth. Seemed to be understaffed and generally untidy in appearance with builders debris scattered around. Did not breakfast or had any meals as we decided to eat out. Would stay here again as the beds were to my liking and a stay during summer months would certainly advance the hotels suitability.

No chair, nor work desk, provided.

The restaurant has a spectacular view & good range of food options.

Hotel with a golf course & sea view. Easy access from car park (car park messy with skip and litter all around).
Comfortable room and hot shower.
Bedroom wall a bit thin, could hear next door conversations & snoring.
Didn’t eat there but have done previously and had a lovely meal.
Minor issue but toilet roll holder would be good .

Pro’s:- checkin quick and easy, housekeeping 5*, amenities replenished daily, even when car park busy always had a space, fantastic location, spacious room (annex room 11), room same level as parking
Con’s:- curtains don’t keep light out - room very bright during the evening, room door was very stiff - had to be slammed to open & close, room 11 is adjacent the annex main door, constant banging as other guests leave & enter - needs a soft close feature, bed advertised as king but definitely a double in size, pictures show a bath in room - only 2 rooms in the entire hotel have a bath, shower not powerful but adequate, struggled to get hot water through in the evening.
Would stay again but would request a different room.

Lovely hotel, amazing views of the coast line and golf course. Rooms are badic bit everything you need for a stay. Walls are a bit thin ( could hear next door snorning lol) . Lovely restaurant and being a ceoliac they had a few gluten free options available. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel, stunning views from my room in the “Annexe”.
1.5 / 5.0
The annex rooms are disappointing particularly in comparison with the rooms in the main building. Great location but the whole presentation was a little tired and the staff seemed stressed. This of course could be as a result of still adjusting to the harm which the COVID virus has caused right across the hospitality industry including availability of experienced staff
1.5 / 5.0
From check in to check out the staff were all very friendly and covid precautions were in place. Food was great reasonably priced breakfast and evening meal. Comfortable room with lovely views.

Stayed for one night wish I had booked it for more nights, excellent hotel was there to see the typhoons and the room we were given didn’t disappoint could sit comfortably in room and watch them fly by the window, the views from the room we had was just superb would definitely recommend this hotel

2nd stay , couldn’t be better , family live in the area so it is very handy .
2.0 / 5.0
Excellent value for money. Stunning views out to sea. Helpful staff in the dining areas, though the room staff seemed to be a little shoddy - we noted an area of water on th floor of our room on the first evening and nothing was done about this. However the rooms were clean and well maintained - the hotel is currently being renovated with new carpet etc in many areas
2.0 / 5.0
Good location. At the time we visited, extensive renovations were being undertaken so the property was a bit dysfunctional.

Brilliant location, room in our opinion wasn’t a deluxe

Great value hotel with nice views of the golf course and the coast.
Nice, helpful staff.
Excellent breakfast
