We were sent information about how to access the property and this was straight forward. Access to the room was via 3 sets of fairly steep stairs. The room was bright and clean but small. Could have done with a king size bed rather than a double. The toilet did not flush properly so took several goes. The paintwork in the communal hall was tired! We saw that breakfast was available but did not realise it started at 10 am during the week and 9am weekends. We went to a café nearby. In general it was quiet and a reasonable place to stay.

Couldn’t rate the staff as we didn’t see any. Self check in was good apart from the main front door being so stiff, especially from the inside to get out on the first day. Sunday night was a quiet stay so maybe there weren’t many in.The Monday night was an awful stay at night because the room above was occupied and we heard every single step they made, every toilet break, when the shower went on and every time a door shut, it just slammed. They weren’t being loud, it’s just you hear everything, thin walls and floors from an old building I guess, so the top floor is better to stay on I’d say. Nowhere in the walking area for food on the Sunday evening. Apart from porridge pots in the rooms there are no breakfast facilities until 10.00am. The bathroom is lovely. It’s warm but the toilet needed a good bleach. The toilet itself was clean but the stand and surrounding floor of the toilet needs a good clean, it smelled of urine. The bedroom carpet needs a good clean too. Quaint little room, clean sheets and clean towels and good provision of tea and coffee facilities. My daughter stayed on the day bed and I had the double bed, so plenty of room in the triple room for the two of us. Nice touch with the chairs overlooking the little garden opposite. Good tv access but the wifi needs a boost, it kept cutting out. It’s was a good stay for the price you pay. One suggestion because there are no food facilities after 4pm Sundays or early breakfast, a mini fridge would help.

We have stayed here before - but would never stay again. We arrived on the friday late p.m. and were given a code for the main door and room door. The room was not a double bed but 2 singles. The bathroom was TINY! My partner could hardly fit in the shower - which incidentally ran hot and cold! Only one person could use the bathroom at a time.
Tried to make a reservation for dinner that night but there were no vacancies so booked another venue in the village. Would also have liked to have dinner there on the sunday and monday nights but the restaurant was closed both evenings!
Our stay was topped off by the electricity in our room shuttiing off this morning (monday) whilst I was in the tiny shower which, of course, stopped mid shower! We tried to contact the rental agent and the owner, neither of whom were available to help. So we left without having had a hot drink, without being able to rinse off or dry my hair, without my partner able to shower.
AWFUL....JUST AWFUL

I love this place !!! special thanks to Oli for driving me to Hassocks station. Getting a taxi can be a challenge in hassocks so this was a lifesaver. Thank you for being amazing all of you.

Only problem I had was the key code to access ground floor door, slight delay between keying in numbers and door release perhaps?

All good

If you check my other reviews, i rarley give poor feed back. Every room has it quirks. But the shower in the room left with me a slight scolding. Its almost dangerous. Turning from blisteringly hot to sudden cold. No dials touched at all. I probably wouldnt have even mentioned it, but then i recieved a phone call with no explanation that basically went "Hi, im from, where did you park your car last night?" In a slightly accusatory tone - i had to ask the reason why, there was no context given previously. We'd checked out almost an hour previous. It was clean. Dog in other room barked and whined at the slightest noise. Thin Walls. Sqeeky bed frames.

We stayed for an overnight as my son was visiting a nearby school. Sadly, didnt get to meet anyone from Morley's or try the food. The restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings and Mondays. I used the library for a bit which closed at 1 pm and then drove to Burgess Hill to a lunch venue as not much in Hurstpierpoint. Its a great place to lay your head and clean. They need to give to teaspoons with the breakfast bits. Probably an oversight.

Great experience
Clean and Tidy

An ok room with great porridge pots and orange juice. Toilet paper ran out and no spare, something revolting in the sink waste not cleaned out. Bed not very comfy and nowhere local to eat on Sunday evening.

Ease of church in and out was super.
Lovely room and bathroom. Food not so good, but for an overnight stay if passing through, would recommend.

27 degrees in the room and yet there was a winter duvet on the bed. Really? Really?! One of the coffee cups was dirty and I had to wash it in the bathroom using handwash. We've all heard hotels don't wash cups properly but here was proof. There was water in the kettle from the previous occupant which is always signal that the hotel is shortcutting. And then there was the issue with noise. Doors being slammed at just gone midnight. Why not install devices to soften door closures? Family conversations that I could hear clearly long after they'd shut their bedroom door while I was laying there trying to sleep. Not directly the hotel's fault but the walls must be made of paper. Carpet was a bit grubby. Not enough water in the shower (a tiny showerhead has been installed so as to restrict water flow).
That's the bad news.
The good? Wifi wasn't bad. Access was managed okay (secture entry to external door and bedroom door), no humans involved. Perfect for me, others might not like it. Nice local area. Car parking is fine but it's only free under certain conditions and not on site.

Extremely well organised set up, with no contact needed, all relevant information provided in email and in room. Well maintained and clean, with well equipped room. Really nice experience all round.

Main stairs to rooms needs a clean. We had a small double which was perfectly nice. Many of our friends would have struggled to get into the bathroom let alone take a shower. Dinner was really nice - staff friendly and professional.
4.3
Really nice rooms which are clean and have everything you need for a comfortable night, the only downside is no breakfast available during the week
4.3
Easy access to room.
Lovely village.
Room fine and decent bed.
However, terrible smell from bathroom which didn’t go away during my two night stay.
One light bulb not working.
Didn’t eat at the Bistro.
Porridge suits supplied for breakfast, plenty of tea and coffee in the room.

very comfortable. friendly stafff. Great food.

Bistro customers continued to party outside after closing time in benches in covered area of courtyard so very noisy in to the small hours. No chair in room to put things on so hold all’s on floor took up all available floor space so moving round room very difficult

Simple, clean little room above a lovely Bistro with friendly staff.

1st visit to Morley’s , on arrival we were a little surprised how compact our requested twin bedded room was , and there were a few issues with the serviced room preparation. With little option we raised this with downstairs bistro staff only to find room management is not connected with bistro. However two of the bistro staff , M & B very kindly did their absolute best to assist our situation which we appreciated very much , well done to them. In conjunction , the gallant Erica , our email booking contact , also played her roll in effecting a satisfactory out come . All such very nice , kind people ,together with management at the recommended ground floor bistro . We thought the booking for 3 our nights to be a little expensive given its simultaneous availability on Hotels.com at a much reduced price , just look out for that.

Convenient location with easy parking over the road. You let yourself into the apartment block via key safe and then your room is open. Clean bed and linen but bathroom very tired, way too small and the tiny shower cubicle difficult to even turn around in. Managed to set fire alarms off by boiling the kettle…?? But no one came to see if there was a problem. No breakfast available before 10am Tuesday to Thursday and even then only a “breakfast bun”. Clean, tidy and good location but probably would not stay again.
4.3
Everything was very good and well organised, including the light breakfast left in the room for when the bistro is not open. The only (minor) complaint I have is that the toilet didn't flush very well. Unlike some other reviews, I didn't find it particularly noisy and slept really well.
4.3
Good location in the town. Access arrangements very clear, communication good.
Room clean, only small thing to point out - tv did not have a very good reception.
Overall good and would recommend.
4.3
The room was clean and snug. The bathroom was a little tired. The description was a little misleading regarding parking. There is no designated parking for the rooms. There is a pay and display carpark close by and you can park on the road from 6pm to 8am. There is no reception and the restaurant was fully booked
4.3
Check-in painless and check out a breeze, lots of hand sanitiser around but no wifi!
Sash windows that don't open fully and need cleaning outside as well as inside.
Nice to have coffee/tea and porridge/orange juice and water in the room with a kettle and hairdryer hidden in the bedside cupboard. Otherwise its a room and pleasant for a night.

An excellent location. Free 23 hour and £1.00 3hour parking. Lovely village with a couple of nice quirky cafes , The New Inn pub for very good food and real ales. A co-op, cash points, newsagent and nice shops. Accommodation is ok. Shower disappointing, no power and luke warm. Bed comfortable, tea and coffee supplied. Good privacy. Very quiet for good nights rest. Would recommend but needs a refurb to be in keeping with lovely village.
4.3
Clean and tidy with excellent flexibility for check in. Thank you very much
