Overall service is very good, but is not running as efficiently as we would like. We put “do not disturb” sign, but cleaning staff still came to our room and threw our own belongings. They speak very limited English.

Although only for a one night stay before our flight, this hotel was like a mini break in itself.
Beautiful grounds, the pool is stunning and there was enough space (although it was low season).
Breakfast is an experience in itself and absolutely delicious. It’s a la carte but included, which feels really special.
The only one thing that surprised me, was that we didn’t get a turn down service - this is always a really nice touch for a luxury hotel/residence that we had from other hotels during our stay in Santorini. It’s a bit 1st world problems… but it does make a 5 star feel 5 star.
The hotel is about 10 minutes walk into town via the one path (which is super busy), but make sure to get there for sunset as that really is breathtaking.
Thira itself for food is ok. Make sure to have a glass of Blanc de Blancs in the wine bar before heading out, seems to be the only place on the island that serves decent wine by the glass haha.

Excellent hotel. Everything was organized and ready.

We cannot speak highly enough about this hotel and the incredible staff who run it. The staff genuinely treat each other like family, and this warmth extends to all the guests who stay with them. Nothing is too much trouble for the team—they are friendly, courteous, and truly make you feel at home.
The hotel itself is outstanding. The pool offers an unbelievable view, and the rooms are some of the best we have ever stayed in. Shout out to Alex, the hotel manager—you are one of the kindest people we have ever met. The friendship you showed our family during our stay was truly remarkable. We would visit again just to catch up with you.
This hotel and its team are simply amazing. Thank you again for having us.

Harris, Zoe, and Ava

Incredibly accomodating staff. Impeccably clean. Conveniently located in the heart of Fira.

Had the most amazing stay at this property. The staff was super friendly and made sure I was taken care of. They even upgraded me to a suite with a pool. Can’t get any better than that right ? Definitely would be coming back to this property with my family and recommend it to everyone looking for a luxurious stay! 10/10

What a special hotel. This converted monastery is very lovely—everything about it was top-notch! Would highly recommend it! Very centrally located too.

This property is gorgeous. Fabulous view. In the heart of Fira for dining and shopping.
The included breakfast was exceptional and the service was excellent. Athenasia was such a pleasure to deal with. She made sure our stay was comfortable and arranged for any transfers that we needed. Poolside with a book was the perfect way to end our vacation and we look forward to coming back. 10/10

Beautiful property, formerly a monastery. New facility (about 4 years). Excellent, spacious rooms. Outstanding staff. Excellent restaurant (expensive but worth the price). Stunning views from the pool. Compares well to any high end boutique hotel in the US. Only downside is that the outside tubs are not heated (so not really usable until the peak of summer).

We couldn't have asked for a better stay here in Santorini! The staff, especially Irene at the front desk, made our stay such a wonderful experience. From the moment we checked in we were offered fresh lemonade to cool off and Irene offered our 2 year old daughter a balloon which made her day! We were then taken by a staff member to tour the property and our bags were brought to our room. We had a private jetted tub overlooking the sea which was absolutely stunning! We enjoyed our turn down service that evening as the staff left us slippers, chocolates, and boxed water. We also enjoyed the hotel breakfast as well which was incredible! The hotel is in the perfect location to easily walk to all of the shops and dining options in Fira. We truly loved our stay and can't wait to come back!

If you want to stay at katikies garden, don’t think about it so much, book it…!!! The people there are extremely friendly and helpful.. the hotel is super clean, the food is amazing, the overall experience is something that you will enjoy.

The property was very disappointing. The property does not look like the pictures. We got a room with a “jetted tub” and it was freezing. The community Pool was also freezing. Our “ocean view” room looked at an abandoned house with 10 foot Barb wire walls. Definetly not worth the price; I recommend staying in Oia.

This is hard to put into words. After only being at Katikies Garden for a few hours, I felt an overwhelming urge to write a 5-star review. Now, after three incredible nights, my partner and I are feeling emotional to leave this special place. It’s not just the property itself (unique and stunning), and it’s not just the level of service (100/10). It’s the people.
It is more than evident the staff loves what they do. Never have I received such care and love from hospitality staff. It’s impossible to comprehend the attention to detail by everyone at Katikies. It’s not just that they remember your preferences and allergies. They somehow know what you’re craving, what you’re thinking before you say it, and when you’ve stepped out, so they can sneakily bring you chocolates and setup your night slippers.
Our experience at Katikies Garden gives new meaning to the phrase “above and beyond.”They make every moment sparkle, and are the very definition of hospitality.
Thank you so much.
Love,
Sarah and André

Clean and luxurious! Staff were kind and helpful, genuinely looking for ways to help us enjoy our time in Santorini. Breakfast was excellent as well. This was our first international trip with our baby and they made us feel very welcome. Definitely recommend!

An amazing stay, beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. We did feel as though the service was a little different as we were set to leave, compared to the start. Damian at the bar was amazing and made the stay memorable. The room could have had bottles of water and shower gel replenished, for what you are paying.
Super helpful staff throughout, lovely location, lovely food.
Most definitely recommend.

This is a review of Katikies Santorini in Oia, not Katikies Garden in Fira (also known as Thira). The hotel contacted us about two weeks before our stay to change the location and we agreed because we read good things about Oia. And our stay did not disappoint. The hotel is located at the beginning of the main strip in Oia, facing the caldera. Checking in, we knew the facility was special because the staff was very welcoming and showed us around the facility, which is laid out on the cliff. This layout enabled many rooms, including ours, to have gorgeous views of the sea, caldera, nearby islands, and of course, the renowned sunsets, which we enjoyed in the hot tub on our private balcony. There are many steps and walking is required, so I don't think this property would be suitable for those looking for accessibility. But we loved the facility and also took advantage of the pool and onsite restaurant. We ate multiple meals onsite, again because of the beautiful views and excellent service. And the food was excellent, especially the prepared to order breakfasts, which were delicious and among the best we've had. We stayed in early November and many hotels and stores in the area were closing (or have closed) for the winter season, through March/April of the following year. But there were no crowds and easy access to restaurants and tours that were open. We also did not need any heating or AC in the room and just left the windows open for the sea breeze.

The hotel building and pool are great, but I can not say this about the service, which is certainly not that which I expected from a 5* property part of the LHW group. As examples, our calls to room service were often not even answered and during both the check in and check out service we were rushed around and mistakes were made by the concierges.

Katikies Chromata is simply stunning. My room was huge and white with a great bed and hot tub! I loved the outdoor area as well with the most magnificent view of the water. Panos was the hotel manager and awesome.

Lots of problems at the property. It is newly refurbished old church building, great concept/ design, but overall the hotel is far from ready to host guests. Facilities and services do not deserve 5 star rating or justify the room tariffs.
First their swimming pool is not ready. Second (and biggest), several rooms do not have air conditioning functional. (Please be aware, this is not a localized room #101 issue). Third, water leakages from ac and bath tub (very hazardous for children). Fourth dirty jetted tub, (not air dust, but dust settled on floor and not cleaned). Fifth, new staff with poor service standards.

The hotel and property was exactly what I expected. The restaurant was great and everyone at the hotel accept for one was outstanding.
When I arrived, I was treated with the utmost disrespect by the young lady at the front desk. There was another young lady that was very helpful and she continue to provide me with the respect. She also apologized for the other girl's behavior.

Amazing hotel and nice helpful staff. The only problem is that we were not able to use the pool so they offered free transfer to their sister hotel Nikki Beach which charged us 80€ for a sunbed near the pool (we had drinks and food included)

Absolutely perfect! Everyone was so friendly and attentive, and the property was extremely clean and beautiful! And great location!

The service at this hotel is amazing and the staff is extremely accommodating and helpful. Their pool is currently under construction but they will arrange for you to go to Nikki Beach for the pool.

We arrived very early one morning and the night manager went above and beyond, he was very accomodating and offered us a temporary room until our booked room was available which was much appreciated.
Once in our booked room, which appeared to be brand new we used the shower which flooded the bathroom due to the floor waste being filled with tile grout. The female day manager was notified and maintence was sent to the room while we were out. Upon returning we were notified that the issue had been rectified, however following the next shower flooding of bathroom ensued.
Day manager notified of issue and attended our room to view the issue. Manager stated issue is fixed, and did not offer any other resolution or

We stayed here on one of the first nights it was open and it was spectacular. The hotel manager and all the staff were extremely friendly, genuine, accommodating and made sure our stay was memorable. Since the pool was not ready during our stay, they were able to send us to sister hotels to enjoy the pool, and we had some of the nicest views and best service in Santorini. This hotel is absolutely stunning with rich history as an old monastery. It is right in the heart of Fira Town and walking distance to great shops, restaurants and breathtaking views. This hotel is absolutely a 5 star experience as they were attentive to every detail throughout the hotel. The rooms are beautiful with very sophisticated furniture, decor and accessories. Highly recommend!
