We stay here a couple of nights each October so my wife can attend a function in London. Lovely setting, great food and excellent, friendly service. Sitting at breakfast and watching the kingfisher outside the window is a nice bonus.

Absolutely thrilled with our recent stay at The Swan at Streatley! From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed into a haven that perfectly balances family-friendliness with a sense of luxury. Our family room was spacious, and even with two teenagers in tow, there was more than enough room to relax comfortably , no cramped feeling whatsoever!
Our family dog, Margot, was treated like a VIP herself, greeted with her own treats and a cosy blanket, making this one of the most dog-friendly hotels we've ever visited. She loved roaming the beautiful grounds and felt just as pampered as we did.
The attention to detail here is exceptional, from the lush bedding to the thoughtfully curated amenities. The shower products were so divine that we couldn’t resist picking some up from the on-site spa as a lovely reminder of our stay.
The atmosphere is wonderfully friendly and relaxed, yet every corner of the hotel exudes a tasteful elegance. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our next visit. Truly deserving of 5 stars!

Whilst it was only a cosy double room it faced onto the kitchen with an extract fan running to late and starting up early so very noisy. Also to only start serving breakfast at 7.30 am is very late for a hotel with business people needing to leave early.

Excellent stay in a lovely hotel and location-
Will definitely return when next in the area

All the staff were brilliant. Room was lovely had everything you would want including a mini fridge and toiletries.
Bed was amazing so big and comfortable
Dining options fab and coffee from the cafe absolutely stunning
4.7
Absolutely fantastic, staff were great, easy check in, clean and tidy. Restaurant conservatory had beautiful views.
Also all the quiet areas in the bar area were perfect.
Highly recommended and will be returning.
4.7
It was a hot room and the fans had more dust in them than I’ve ever seen!
4.7
This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in here in the UK - big room, river view and balcony - huge bed and large bathroom. On a sunny day the deck chairs by the Thames were a beautiful location for a morning coffee. Good value for a mid week stay.
4.7
Beautiful setting & a lovely hotel with great food, drinks & a welcoming feeling. Catering for a wide variety of people & dogs

Hotel was great, lovely location and had a large room. Staff did not know how to add to room bill for the family room as it did not have a number and question me on why I did not give a number. This was across three places within the hotel. Lobster bar really busy but wonderful placement. No table service must order at bar. Table was in line of the queue for the bar, very tight. Food came incorrect and missing items, staff did not fix issue due to how busy it was and then tried billing for missing items. Seemed too busy for the volume of staff on duty and a small bar compared to the people on site.
Breakfast was lovely although a little small for the price. Breakfast staff were very good and the view was excellent.
If it was not for the inadequate staff at the lobster bar I would have rated the venue 5*.

Excellent
Just needs air con!

Hoped it would be amazing, it was ok. We arrived 15mins early and room not quite ready so we decided to order a drink outside using the QR code on menu on table. After 20 mins and no drinks we asked inside and they said that was another team responsible for the drinks outside and it wasn't open yet. My other half had to go down to the Coppa Club to get a refund. Now our room was ready so we collected key and headed up. Key didnt work so we had to go back to reception and they fixed.
Room lovely and spacious, bathroom the same and both spotless. Great products provided.
Also great coffee but we had to ask for it to be replenished each day. Prosecco in the fridge which was a lovely touch only the edge was taken off as the card said happy anniversary when I'd mentioned on booking that it was our honeymoon.
Some friends had tried to organise for a gift to be ready in our room too but after being passed around on the phone and leaving a voicemail that was never returned they were unable too.
It was unusually hot and though there was a dyson fan I think most other hotels at this price point would have air con. I think in normal British summer temps it would be fine.
Food was great at both the lobster bar and coppa club but at coppa club we had to chase our drinks as waited 20mins again and the heaters had run out of gas at the lobster bar. Best service we had was feom the young chaps at this bar. Super friendly

Ideal for our Thames Path walk. Beautiful setting, well appointed comfortable rooms, with outside terrace and view of the church, nice bar / restaurant with a lively vibe and good snacks in the evening. I'd asked for a quiet room but unfortunately my room was over some kind of generator and there was a loud hum all night. Breakfast was underwhelming, two tiny poached eggs on dry toast (we had to ask for butter), served rather cold, as was the coffee.
4.7
Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Facilities are great and reception staff are very helpful. We asked for an extra duvet as we can’t get used to double duvets, and they brought it immediately. Complimentary water and bisquits in the room and facilities to make tea and coffee. Beds are large and comfortable. Breakfast is exceptional and very good value. Gym was well equipped and not too busy while we were there. The location is beautiful and within easy walking distance of the train station.
4.7
Average for the money. Room was insanely hot despite 2 floor fans going non stop. Restaurant food average although priced highly. TV sound would not work and on pulling the stand out from the wall there was dust everywhere.

Anna went out of her way to help us.

Hotel was very promising on check-in.
Room was fine, but was really hot and whilst there was a small desk fan, there was no air conditioning.
Unfortunately our room was right by the entrance and drop-off zone, so with windows open to try to keep a sensible temperature, we were disturbed by cars and people well into the night.
Lovely shower.
We eat at the hotel's Copa restaurant, which was expensive and served mediocre food.
They provided the wrong sauce, brought a 2nd wrong sauce, and then tried to charge us for both of them 😔
Breakfast was lovely, although would have been nice for some things (e.g. drinks, cereal, toast) to have been self serve instead of having to ask and wait to be served.
All in all what should have been a lovely stay was spoiled by a few things that should be simple to fix.
4.7
standard stay all was fine
4.7
Room over looking restaurant entrance. As such very noisy, waiting taxis and people chatting late at night. No air con just a fan which made for an uncomfortable night as room was very warm, fan struggled to cool.
4.7
Checked in to room 42, after just 10 mins of being in the room, the humming noise amd vibration from the extraction fan of the kitchen situated directly below was unbearable. I have stayed at the hotel previously on the other side of the hotel facing the river but the opposite side of the hotel was the polar opposite with a tiny box room and the constant drumming of the extraction hood. The hotel was full so there was no change of being moved despite asking twice. I was however given a 50% refund but would've preffered to have not stayed in the same room. Beware when checking in and request a room over looking the car park or river areas.
4.7
All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Credit to them.
The hotel is super. It really is special and in a lovely location.
I would have given 5 stars, but the check in at 4pm and check out at 11:00 am, especially on a Sunday is just being mean/cheap. It did add a negative aspect to our stay as I have stayed stayed in 5 star hotels that have a check in at 3pm and check out at midday.
I nearly booked another location because of this policy.

From check in to check out this hotel & its staff were faultless. So organised , staff were knowledgeable & professional & the restaurant offered a wide variety of tasty & affordable food all through the day.
The hotel itself was spotless & the views from the restaurant are fabulous as is the pretty riverside & nearby village.
Our Room was clean & modern with all the amenities you would require when travelling
We usually stay in a London hotel as a stop over but from now on will definitely use this little treasure.

The unique style, comfort and feel of this place really made our special celebration visit so memorable. The riverside copper club restaurant was a fab location, the food was so good (trout, steak).
The comfort room was spacious and beautifully appointed.
We will be back

Very comfortable stay.

Beautiful location, room and restaurant. There didn’t appear to be air conditioning in the room - something to consider if that concerns you.

A wonderful time

Fabulous stay at The Swan at Streatley. Comfortable, friendly, immaculately clean. Delicious food and amazing scenery. Book for dinner as it gets very busy. Rooms have everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. A perfect venue to relax and unwind.
4.7
Enjoyed the riverside location.
4.7
Great overall stay at this beyond hotel on the river. We had forgotten to mention that we were bringing our golden retriever, that was no problem and we were given a wonderful and big room overlooking the river. Zaza was treated as a very special guest for our stay as were we.
All of the staff were brilliant, we will be back for another stay soon!
Thank you for a really great experience.
4.7
Beautiful hotel in the middle of the village close to the shops and golf course
4.7
Beautiful spot which we enjoyed exploring.
Hotel was lovely- we had a ground floor riverside room which we were so pleased with- however the corridoor absolutley stank- it smelt like vomit!
Coppa club resturant was in a lovely location. We booked dinner out in the terrace and was sat on a table behind the service area. The area we booked to enjoy the amazing view was obstructed by the messy service area which was a bit disappointing
4.7
I stayed here for one night while away on business. After a long journey and day I looking forward to relaxing at the Hotel. I know The Swan well so knew it would be peaceful and safe being a solo female traveller. The room was clean but the noise in the room was awful, i believe this to be because of the fans outside. It felt and sounded like I was on an aeroplane, I didn’t sleep well at all, I tried to call reception but no answer. Very upsetting when the hotel isn’t cheap.
4.7
Fantastic place and will stay again
4.7
Room 49 has noisy fan all the time,
Room 39 smells of weed
Room 3 hear the end of the corridor bang every 5 mins. Staff in resturant having to keep chasing for drinks
4.7
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Swan.
4.7
Lovely room with a small balcony overlooking the Thames . Clean warm and well equipped . Bath and walk in shower. Lots of cozy seating areas downstairs. Will stay again .
4.7
The hotel is so welcoming and cosy. It’s beautifully appointed with Loaf furniture and spa bathroom products. It’s retained a boutique feel despite being part of a small chain. The food is great and the atmosphere is relaxed yet professional with areas for working and where locals meet for catch ups. A major plus is it’s also dog friendly too . My only comment is as a solo female traveller I was put on the ground floor in an accessible room and I know many hotels have policies around this to ensure safety and due to the accessible room allocation I was not able to have a bath. That aside, looking out onto the banks of the river in the morning was lovely and when I return ( which I will) I will specify a request for a non -accessible room.
4.7
Excellent, dog friendly hotel right on the river (or slightly in the river in our case!). Helpful, friendly staff. Nice, relaxed bar & restaurant areas. Close walk into town, and great hiking nearby (head up the steep path to the common)
4.7
The people u hqve working there are the best I have ever encountered made the stay a pleasure and we will definitely be back ..only shame was the weather but as a Welshman i blame myself for bringing the rain with me .For that I apologise 😔
