We stayed here for a nearby convention. While we technically could see the ocean from the room, the view was much more of the roof and air conditioning units. The entrance to the room was more motel style as the walkway and doors to the rooms were outside. The room was clean and comfortable, but definitely nothing fancy.

First off, the room they gave us was occupied with a sleeping person who was not happy when I opened the door. Good thing he had the latch done on the door. Then the next room we got, the bathroom door wouldn't close and the shower head pointed out which sprayed the bathroom floor when I turned the shower on. That made a huge mess which required most of our towels to clean it up. The curtains didnt close so we had to use hangers to cinch them closed because the street light was pouring into the room. We did get a free breakfast out of the deal and that was all. There was loud construction outside of our room early and workers at our balcony door working. All in all i was not pleased with the stay.

Wonderful stay! Great staff, great view, very nice room! A little bit untidy in places due to ongoing upgrade work, but once the renovations are complete this will be an even more awesome hotel!

Location, location, location! That's what drew me to this hotel, but unfortunately, that's where the excitement ends. The 'resort' name is a stretch - it's more like a budget motel. Picturesque online images don't reflect reality. This place needs serious renovation (which, thankfully I think, is underway). For now, expect: - Uncomfortable, hard-spring beds (think sore mornings) - Limited parking (be prepared to walk from down the street, not ideal with little ones especially after sunset) - Sketchy vibes (not what you'd expect from a 'resort') - The area photographed with the chairs and fire pit was not big enough to accommodate the people here, maybe 10 at the most. -Ac didn’t cool enough and made weird noises all night -Shower was not working properly and made loud noises, water would come out of the top and bottom Silver linings: - Soft sheets and pillows - Prime location near the water - Bathroom has complimentary “dove” shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion and hand soap. Definitely feels like that king dollar dove though, if you know what I mean. -Live band on site Don't get me wrong, potential is there. Renovations might transform this place. Until then, set realistic expectations. *Price doesn't match quality.* Consider alternatives. *Rating:* 1/10 *Recommendation:* Wait for renovations or choose another option, San Luis hotel next door was literally cheaper and looked 100000% better than this. Regretted choosing this one over that one.

They were doing renovation, much needed, far from 8.2 this place is not good for being top 3 most expensive hotels in Galveston. Smelly old rooms over all everything's is old. Front desk people are friendly and nice

Great location on the Seawall. We had a first floor room which was like a motel style, parking outside the door area. Don’t mind those but not at the price point we paid for the room. Room was tired looking but clean. Busy pool but nice area to sit and have a pool snack and drinks. Great pool service. Average hotel, ok for our one night stay.

If you’re looking for a place to stay with a resort feel, this is the place! Awesome pool area with an ordering system that’ll bring it right to your chair. Great dining options within walking distance. And the best part is, the beach is right across the street! We will stay here again.

The resort was amazing! Staff was so kind and helpful! The weather wasn’t the best but the resort had plenty to do for families, kids, and adults. Activities for kids, drinks for adults poolside.

Pro: The beach is across the street from the ocean and the location was good Pro: staff was great Pro: the weight room and pool area Con: my room was on the second floor and the view of the beach was obstructed. Con: Multiple Issues with the card key opening the room and leaving the exercise room following an early morning work out Con: Charge for parking and breakfast Conclusion: It was Ok A better view of the ocean would have enhanced the stay

It was a nice hotel, but I wouldn’t consider it a resort. The rooms were standard. The food was okay. The staff and service was great! Very friendly people, especially Don - front desk. This is a very kid friendly hotel. They had a movie theatre, kid corner, arcade, and game room.
