We didn’t have a good stay. The heat was not working in the hotel. The breakfast that was offered was awful. There was no room service. The hotel is rundown and overpriced.

We needed a hotel to stop at for the night from traveling and we chose this hotel and I'm so glad we did. It was stunning from the outside to the inside. It was relaxing, couldn't hear anyone and the beds were actually comfy which is rare. I'm so bummed we only stayed one night but would stay here for a weekend next trip.

Forgot my shampoo and conditioner. Product in the room was really not great. Towels were not what I would expect from a hotel of this caliber and the shower wasn’t draining properly. The rest of the room was great. Clean, quiet and very nice.

We arrived at the start of a very large wedding. Check-in as a result was a little longer than usual, but the staff was professional and efficient. We found out that although there was plenty of parking it was nowhere close to where our room was, which was in a different building than reception. The room was comfortable and clean.

Comfortable and quiet. I Enjoyed my stay.

This is a beautiful hotel with lots of history. The neighborhood is very nice and, although it’s not walkable to other restaurants, there are many in easy driving distance. The restaurant onsite is good and has many options. We also enjoyed the swimming pool. If we’re in the area again, we’ll be sure to book again at Hayes Mansion.

Historic hotel. So gorgeous. What a find! so sorry but the headless cloudy old time decal people on the walls were creepy. Maybe some ornate wooden canvas etched sculptures instead.

The Hayes Mansion is a gorgeous venue, which exudes old world elegance and charm. The hotel is full of nooks and crannies inside and outside which are perfect for a quiet read or nap. The rooms are sophisticated and modern, and kept very clean.
The breakfast buffet is a standout. The breakfast staff are attentive and anticipatory; they had soy milk ready for us the second day we had breakfast. The staff truly care about hospitality. Choices for breakfast are abundant and change (somewhat) daily. Having fresh berries daily was a treat, as were the varying choices of french toast, egg burritos and mushroom omelettes. Delicious!
The Front Desk staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. The new lady at Reception was particularly nice. There is often a line up at the Front Desk; the hotel could definitely use more staff at Reception. However, once you got to the front of the line, the staff did their best to address any questions.
In terms of location, there is a wonderful park in front of the hotel which is lovely for morning and evening walks. It has tennis courts (the hotel lends rackets), a basketball court and pickleball. Dining options are limited around the hotel but the hotel restaurant is handy for casual eating. And nearby Los Gatos has an abundance of fantastic restaurants such as Dar and ASA.
Overall, the hotel is a wonderful retreat, perfect for a getaway to what seems like another era.

Very nice historical property with great service, friendly staff and good hot cold breakfast. The only complaint would be that the swimming pool wasn’t cleaned when I was there, and it float around stuff hair in the water. However I saw they spent a lot of time cleaning it the day of our checking out so it was probably cleaner to the next guests.

This is a beautiful property. The grounds are well kept.
The trash cans outside of the entrances were constantly overflowing the couple of days we were here.
We requested non- feather pillows due to allergy and were told the hotel was full and they may not have enough. They did bring them but only 4 when we requested 6
There were no robes. Not enough towels. The matress was rock hard. We won’t stay here again. There are too many other choices in the area to stay where comforts are overlooked.

Overall, it was a beautiful place, excellent restaurant and drinks, but the bed was small. The grounds look beautiful, the hotel is pretty historic.

Need AC repaired in Eucalyptus Suite or leave a fan. Old building so expected to be challenging.

The property was nice but Saturday night they had a wedding going on until at least 11pm. The music was extremely loud through the walls while I was trying to sleep. Outside of that everything was good.
