It's about time to modernize the hotel

All was ok but the bathroom in the rooms are very old, the bathtub ist very small and not practical to take a shower. The joints are moldy in the bathroom and the tiles are old. The bathrooms needs a renovation. Overall, the hotel is great and is also very suitable for families.

It was really terrible. Your personnel are rude. They don’t think a second about supporting the guest or providing alternatives.

Gorgeous place to spend time with your family. Great amenities to use at the resort. Our favorite pace was the dinner patio with a vew at the marina. The patio with the sea view is also great!

Had a great experience at this hotel. Only thing i found negative was the high volume in the dining room. Its tolerable but it did cause me too feel quite stressed I have to say. Better feet on the chairs would make an improvement.

Overall the resort is nice and we had a good time. There are few things that we didn’t like- the food: there is a good variety but the quality is just ok. The bed is awful, too hard and not comfortable at all! The pool slides needs a fix, my 4 years old daughter didn’t want to slide because it was too painful…
Not sure we will be back…

we received a room that air condition didnt work.
we had to ask 4 times till a techniocian came and then at night we came back and still the AC didnt work.
We had to argue to find for us a solution. no one took responsibility or offered solution with out the need to spend land waste ots of time arguing. at the end we didnt get another room but the manager was surprised we were not offered one as he told me he instruck them to giove us a nother room.
on top eleveators are old and do not work properly. one was not wroking at all during the stay and once the elevator had a sudden stop while we were in. in general the service was not able and had no skills to offer solution for a no AC room and didnt offer a compensation.
it doesnt worth the money we paid. dont pay above 200-250$ per night
the bech is wonderfull
all inclusive is not really all inclusive in the bars and restaurants but very enjoyable to include

I have always gone to this property everything was great but it’s starting to show it’s age inside the rooms

The bathrooms were weird. Every time we took showers it would have water in the corner. The balcony overlooking the beach had just dirt, it was unappealing. The pool area was terrible and I inviting. The sand wasn’t great but all the waitstaff was amazing

There were very loud parties on the last two nights we were there…and we were not invited ;-)

We had a lovely time!
Pros:
-the buffet was amazing and had so many options
-the staff were very friendly and helpful
-there were always sun beds available
-there were many activities
-the shuttle boat to Neos Marmaras was easily accessible and cheap
-the property has two small supermarkets
-room service was quick and excellent
-the shuttle from the airport was great
-the water sports were amazing! Jet skiing is a MUST
-everything is walkable and close
-the staff are all extremely kind and friendly. It was so lovely to be greeted by them
Cons:
-lunch isn’t included even though it’s an all inclusive resort. This wasn’t advertised very well. There’s half and full board options. Confirm before you arrive:
-one elevator was always out of service which resulted in long waits
-the elevator closes VERY quickly. You need to go fast.
-the schedule for the shuttle boat on the marina is wrong. The updated schedule can be found at guest services. This resulted in us waiting and no boat coming
-we never received a schedule for all of the activities and had to find it ourselves. It would be helpful if this was provided at check in
-some activity locations changed due to poor weather and this wasn’t told to us. There should’ve been signs in the elevator or at guest services about the change
-The bike rentals no longer exist
-the “shopping” at the marina is all empty
-at dinner, there are no drinks included. You even have to pay for water.

We stayed at Porto Carras for 7 nights. Everything was as expected for a 5-star resort, would definitely book here again. Special thanks to the hotel staff which went above and beyond at all times!

Great rooms, fantastic pool great for families. Loved the location of being right on the beach. Ferry to nearest town was good too to enable us to go out at night for a change. Drinks expensive in hotel.

Hotel building, rooms, restaurants and other areas are nice and clean. Only thing bothers me in this hotel is service at the beach area. I can understand the high prices of the hotel beach but food is very moderate. I ordered one burger but meat wasn't cook properly and bread wasn't fresh. I tried other food selections but none of them was satisfactory. Additionally they don't serve alcoholic and soft drinks in the bottle. I think they do it to prevent injuries but drinking a beer from paper cup is not nice. Last, they should work with a professional DJ. We listened same songs again and again all day(s). Apart from these issues everything was ok.

the team was excellent in the Crystal restaurant and the Pefko restaurant. Keep these people together. They create a harmony in the hotel

Overall a great stay - good resort with excellent facilities.
Only slight issue is that the guest rooms need updating e.g. our bathroom lock was clearly broken
Staff was lovely and good variety re dinner menu (though you have to pay for all drinks, including soft, at dinner even when all inclusive)

We had an excellent time at the resort. One night the electricity went out for a few hours but other than this the place is superb.

The view is incredible.. but the rooms can use a renovation.
For some reason, they dont serve any drinks for dinner unless its with extra payment (including water).

I had an amazing experience at Porto Carras in Halkidiki. This was my first time under the new management of Mr. Kostas Plaskasovitis. He has assembled a team of employees that are hard working, dedicated, polite, energetic, and very customer friendly. Their emphasis was to make my staying an unforgettable experience. And they did! In addition, the food was delicious and plenty. Overall, I felt very creative, tranquil and relaxed listening to the Aegean waves and watching the soul moving sunsets.
I can’t wait to return.

Arrived in September and Most of the activities like water sports, slides, horse riding not operating. Gym equipment broken, out door pools had algea, main dining area food was less than cafeteria food which made us illl. Hotel had broken walkways, paths. Loose tiles and paint peeling as and it was looking a bit run down. HALF THE HOTEL WAS CLOSED. Guest services where apologetic and tried to assist. The hotel manager was one of the most arrogant and dismissive persons Ive met. CONSIDERING THAT IN MY JOB I CAN MEET UP TO A THOUSAND PEOPLE PER DAY. Hotel leaks everywhere when raining causing slip hazards., so there is a musty smell. On arrival and departure NO Assistance from baggage concierge. Everything has an extra CHARGE. I TRAVEL REGULARLY and would say Dont waste your money. Would not recommend or stay ever again.

My family went for a second Summer in Meliton hotel and it was great. It is clean and quiet and the bed in the room was big enough for the three of us. At arrival were upgraded for a room with sea view for no additional charge.

Obviously has had a glorious past but now unkept with average to poor service. Facilities either closed or poorly maintained. Sports facilities particularly poorly maintained. Food very average and drinks relatively expensive with small selection.

Our trip started on the wrong foot as driving from Bulgaria at the border we were asked to pay toll in Euros (cash). No ATM, no debit cards, no BG money. Instead the toll lady encouraged us to start begging the cars behind to do money exchange. That was for weclome! (BGL are pegged to the EURO and as good as EUROS.) The Geek government clearly has no clue how it could help its countrys tourism. The hotel was nice, large scale park with lots to do for kids and adults. Clean, groomed green grass, glorious lobby and the smile of Abey (the doorman) set the tone for the weekend. The service was consistently professional, although unimpressive. The food was average, but far from bad, and the many pools, nice weather, beach and hospitality made up the difference. I give 5 stars as the overall deal we got through Expedia gave a us a big bang for the buck. However, I can see in the heat of the season how the staff could choke managing a higher volume crowd. This is a great place for kids and what made it even better was the staff who did their best, although it was clear had not been the best trained. The pier, the soccer fields, the free dinner we all nice bonuses.
