Hotel was fine and in middle of witney unfortunately they allocated us a Disability room so although a nice size the bathroom didn’t have a wow factor

Excellent stay. Hotel was comfortable and clean. Friendly and professional staff. Special mention for Daniel. Who is a good ambassador for the hotel.

Stayed for one night. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast and coffee was great! Rooms were very tired looking, clean but tired. Bed was uncomfortable, as were pillows, it was fine for one night but wouldn’t want to stay for any longer than that.
3.0
The bed was comfy and room clean. There was no parking within a quarter of a mile in a shopping carpark. London prices not London experience. Dining staff young and inexperienced. Food took over two and a half hours. Pizza had raw ball of cold mozzarella on it. We were in attic room despite telling them i am disabled with mobility issues. For safety there should be a grab rail to assist getting in and out of bath after shower due to height of bath and slipping possibility. Pleasant bar staff even if bar shuts at 11 on a Friday night. The biggest priority was car parking and narrow stairs.

Great venue, great room, great breakfast. The only negative was the lack of sleep caused by a loud buzz every 2-3 minutes which can only be likened to someone repeatedly pressing an intercom button. Almost considered spending the night in my car.

A nice and friendly Hotell, restaurant and bar. Very friendly staff and a nice touch to the breakfast. We liked it.

Bright green “exit” light in room 12 made sleep difficult. No curtains and inadequate blinds ensured early waking. Pillows old and lumpy. Towels old and torn. Very noisy street outside. Over-priced for what it was.
One saving grace was a very good breakfast hi h was included in the price.

Enjoyed our stay apart from noise outside the hotel at night

Lovely breakfast options. Some lack of clarity re: pricing - though to be fair that may have been Expedia. Parking a bit awkward

Restaurant and bar areas are lovely, breakfast great but room was disappointing

Nice central location. No parking, but you can park at the far end of the town car park overnight. We were in the family room, number 8, and it's next to the kitchen extractor fan, so it makes noise all the time. It switched off at 10pm but then you could hear the music from the pub downstairs. This is to be expected if you stay in a pub, and the music wasn't too loud and went off at a reasonable time. The room took a while to warm up as the radiators weren't on when we arrived. The bathroom was a bit too chilly to take a bath as the window didn't't seem to be double glazed and had a bit of a draft coming through. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and hard-working. Food was excellent. Hallway smelt a little strange, as though there was a plumbing issue in the disabled toilet downstairs. The sofa bed had a big dip in it and so I had to use one of the pillows to make it flatter in order to sleep.

We enjoyed our stay at The Blue Boar. Very quiet and clean. It was a good central location to then travel around the Cotswolds. Our only drawback was parking, but we were able to park across the way at the shops. Everyone was so helpful and courteous.

Great little pub with friendly staff and excellent food. Room was good with nice bathroom. Breakfast was amazing choice and all cooked fresh to order . I had poached eggs , avacodo and chilli on sour dough toast - really good. only 1 slight issue and that’s the lack of parking, can park close by but have to faff with max 3 hrs unless after 6. I enjoyed the stay and value for money so I would stay again excepting the parking situation. Thank you for a good stay

Amazing hotel, got me in for early check in and got to enjoy the complimentary breakfast while waiting for my room to be ready. Had to catch a very early flight and taxi company did not follow through with pick up. Tony, the night porter went above and beyond and took me to the terminal in time for my flight. Awesome service and will surely come back when I’m in town.

Excellent location, lovely pub which serves great food at night. Breakfast was the best

Often stayed at Blue Boar, services always good but on Thursday 3th we ordered coffee, it’s arrived 15 minutes later barely warm, Took it back and waited another ten minutes for it. Not a happy bunny this trip.
Some Waitress need some training.

A lovely short dog friendly Christmas break. Staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Christmas dinner was delicious and piping hot. Service was excellent. Overall a lovely couple of days and we would certainly do it again.

B+B rate was very good at £83. Room was clean, modern and comfortable - located across a courtyard.
No real issues - but chap working in the bar on the Thurs evening literally started shouting at us to finish our drinks up (bearing in mind we were guests staying in a hotel). Breakfast was ok the next day but slow considering they weren’t at all busy.
Would stay again but would have lowish expectations around standards of customer service etc.

We booked a 'Superior' double. It was on the top floor at the front so lots of stairs and noisy from outside til about 1am. The bedroom door had a dodgy lock so didn’t open easily - required lots of rattling and a 'knack' which we had to discover in order to get into the room... must have been noisy for our 'neighbours'. The heated towel rail didn’t heat up. The bedside light and one reading light didn't work. The room supplied inadequate teabags and milk cartons- when more was requested the hotel staff said they had run out of UHT milk cartons. They did however bring up a jug of milk and some tea bags which was good of them. Breakfast Service was so laid back we couldn't risk ordering more tea on Sunday as it had taken so long to appear on Saturday that we couldn’t drink it as we had somewhere specific to be at 10 a.m. both days. Staff were friendly and pleasant but overall a disappointing stay. Shame as have stayed there several times before and had no problems. Could do better!

The property has retained lots of its original, very attractive features. The staff team are wonderful, friendly and helpful.

There is no parking on site, whatsoever, so there's a good walk with your bags, room had what we assumed was air con/heating unit but not sure if it was just air con, as we tried for ages to get hot air, but couldn't, if it was just an aircon that's fine however then the radiators should have been on, it was extremely cold all night in both our rooms especially in the bathrooms, my sons bathroom bin was still full of previous occupants rubbish,
Sent back glass of Coke as it had a twang to it of I'm not sure what, as the 1st one was fine, a replacement came and that was the same so I gave up with that, I can however say that all staff were very polite, the young lad with the Coke couldn't apologise enough, maybe some is just a personal taste, but 10/10 for staff helpful & polite both evening & breakfast

Great value and super food.
