The staff was great--immediate and helpful responses to every concern. No irons in the rooms, but they brought me an iron and ironing board. I found a wasp nest on my balcony and called the front desk; within 5 minutes a man came to the room and cheerfully removed the nest. I needed a few photocopies and they made them for me at the front desk, no charge. No safe in the room, but they have safe-deposit boxes (like in a bank) at the front desk. Lovely view from the balcony of my room on 4th floor. I was surprised how quiet it was for sleeping (I had requested a room not facing 6a Av. for this reason, but still was pleasantly surprised). Very clean. Shower took a while to warm up, but then was hot. Bed was comfortable. The laundry service was pricey, but I needed a few garments washed and they did a good job, same-day service. The building is lovely for its historic charm, but has modern comforts. Zona 1 is not where most foreign tourists stay, but I was there for work and wanted to stay in this area to be near work. Felt very safe in this hotel as a solo foreign female traveler. Two water bottles & clean towels were left for me by the housekeeper each day.
The restaurant food was fine, but not great (though it was a comfortable place to sit and work while eating). There are millions of other restaurants in the neighborhood, but I wanted the convenience of the hotel (esp. because I had no car and would not want to walk in zona 1 at night). Wifi was a bit weak in my room; functional but only in certain areas of the room.

The location is absolutely perfect, right on the middle of the historical zone. If you get a room with a balcony, just make sure you have earplugs because the street is quite noisy, but this is part of the experience! The staff were wonderful, and they directed us to the Dollar City just down the street where we were able to buy earplugs. The restaurant is great too. Everything was clean and the staff tend to your room daily. The rooms are colonial-style, with high ceilings. The property is beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.
The beds are rock hard, but that's pretty much what you'll get anywhere in Guatemala.

Good location, BUT
The pictures show a beautiful building in colonial style, which unfortunately does not match the reality. Renovated bathrooms, but they forgot the roms.

I always enjoy this hotel, but they seem to change the rules to make a couple of extra bucks. I have used this hotel off and on for around 20 years. I stay in the most expensive room and it has always allowed me to use one parking space. Guess what changed, I use the space when an old friend visits and we go to lunch. They actually changed two of my friends for parking here. You should get a contact to stay here!
Charging my friends for visiting without my knowledge.

Central location, good room size and warm water (if you wait for a while).
The hotel advertises a “free shuttle service to the airport” in the property details on booking, which is why we booked. Upon arrival we were told this service no longer existed “due to Covid-19” (we’ve heard this excuse from hotels for various services before - the services suspended always seem to be ones that save the hotel cost: Coincidence? I think not.).
Two years after the beginning of the pandemic you should have either changed the property description or, as we pointed out when checking in at reception, admit you made a mistake and pay for the airport transfer.

Nice rooms with plenty of space and great location right on 6a avenida. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!
The balconies could have a better view,

Location location
Is a little bit to noise because is in the most busy street of the city but not a big deal

The location was very good, near to the central park and on the main street, the room was a good size, with two double beds.
The ensuite bathroom was basic, the water pressure in the shower was not good and the shower had a curtain rather than a proper screen. There were no power sockets beside the bed, they were on the other side of the room, but the main problem was that the WiFi. It was good in the corridor and at the door of the room but once we stepped inside the room it failed, so we couldn't use it when we were in bed. The decor throughout the hotel is a little tired.
