The breakfast were lovely and the lady making them was very friendly and helpful with giving tips nad informaiton about the local area and activities. The sauna was good also and appreciated after a day out in the cold.
My room was quiet but I think that was down to lack of other guests at the time of my visit, when peole were in the next room any sound seemed to travel between the rooms.
Also there was a seperate room to store my snowbaord, which was appreciated.
The location of the hostel is at the top of the hill, which, on clear nights, can be a good viewing spot for the northern lights, I saw them a little on the first night but it was cloudy the rest of the time so nomoure lights.
Personally, I didn't find the bed that comfortable, the mattress was a little soft for my liking, otherwise the room was fine and just about big enough for my board bag and my luggage.
Also the hill the hostel is on, is very big and reasonably steep in places, just be aware if you are walking up it with luggage.

The owner is very accommodating and friendly, nice to talk to. The breakfast was prepared for me in advance (by my request) and was very tasty, light but surprisingly nourishing. The room heating, showers, bed, kitchen, everything is great. Excellent experience!

Clean hostel, breakfast was quite nice. Useful to have the option of a kitchen although very limited facilities. Nice to have a sauna available. Beautiful hike up the Fell right from the doorstep of the hostel.
Kitchen was very limited - would have been nice to have a few basics to use such as cooking oil, salt, washing up liquid etc. Common room with a fireplace was locked after 3pm - one of the reasons I booked was because I saw there was a nice fireplace which I thought would be nice to sit around in the evenings but it was not available.

The breakfast was very good for a hostel breakfast, with self-baked bread! The staff is also very friendly and helpful. It’s a simple place, but has everything you need. I also liked that there’s sauna every day.
It can get quite noisy in the night, especially with new people arriving late, who haven’t gotten the intro to the place yet. There’s pretty much no sound proofing, and people don’t really respect the 10 pm silence. The common area for hostel guests is also not very comfortable, there are no comfy couches.
