No curfew, so could leave and enter whenever. Cleaning staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend learning german as they don’t speak much english.
Bed wasn’t too comfortable, wouldn’t recommend if you have neck or back issues. The room was incredibly hot, even with the window wide open and the heating turned off, made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep.

- Full size mirror
- 24hr access with a key to the side side
- Great shower pressure & heat
- Altho a bit of a walk from the banhof it was basically a straight line/could not miss. And local bus stop right near the hotel.
- No power sockets next to the bed
- very squishy bed (not really a negative, but more a heads up if you have bad knees/back
- The hosts were very friendly, but they didn't speak a lot of English (we need to stop expecting everyone does!) But again a heads up to learn German or have a language translation app

Small family-run hotel not far from the Liestal town centre, which is easily accessible by bus. Even though it's close to the main road and the highway, the rooms are quiet. The single rooms are a bit on the small size, but well equipped and with a comfortable, modern bathroom. Good wifi and nice breakfast buffet! There's a restaurant on site but it's closed on Mondays.
Nothing to add!

The cleaning staff was very sweet. I really appreciated their work. The only good part of staying at this hotel.
Rude, Angry + Aggressive concierge/reception.
I came to Basel for the art fair for work. I arrived in Basel and immediately had to go to the fair. As such, I did not arrive at the hotel until 10 pm that night. The hotel reception was very angry that I came later than my anticipated check-in time (3 pm) and they made me beg to be allowed into the hotel that night. I had to plead with them through a speaker at the front door.
After a stressful day of travel, and a stressful day of work, the hotel sent me into a panic by threatening to send me out on the street for the evening.
The rest of the stay was no different.
The next morning they left a passive aggressive note on my door telling me that I have to pay for my room before I check out. I still had several days left in the hotel.
On my last day, I asked them to get me a taxi. They arranged the taxi but it was 15 minutes away. I checked on uber and could get a car in 5 minutes, so I told the hotel to cancel the taxi. Suddenly they yelled at me for bothering them if I was just gonna order a car myself.
Ridiculous.

The hotel was located close to work, but it wasn't accessible because of rain. Dinner was good, and the hotel had diners that weren't guests.
A knowledge of German would be helpful to any guest as the hotel staff didn't speak English. The town isn't easy to get around in because of limited taxi service.

Perfect for a layover when driving multiple days.
Less than a minute from the highway. Clean, efficient and most of all extremely kind and friendly staff
nothing to dislike.

The personell was friendly, the hotel is reasonably close to Liestal station.
The hotel and rooms look really dated. In the reception there is still an advertisement promoting the use of (landline) telephones, to put this into context. This wouldn't be an issue if everything was functioning properly, but it was not: most of the lights in the room were nog working, and the shower changed pressure and temperature all the time. The rooms need a serious overhaul.

Nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace.
