About this house rental
Foxhole Cottage is a beautifully refurbished cottage with a large spacious garden, set in the idyllic, rural location of Framsden, Framlingham. Sleeping up to eight adults and four children, it is a perfect option for families and friends looking to get together and enjoy what the area has to offer. This stunning cottage has generous, airy rooms ensuring all is on hand for entertaining and celebrating.
The tranquil location means that birdsong fills the house in the spring and summer months. In the Winter, enjoy a walk around Framlingham Castle and return to cottage to cook a home-cooked roast, light the wood-burning stove and settle in for the evening.
The ground floor comprises two comfortable sitting rooms with enough space to accommodate all guests; both have bi-fold doors leading directly into the surrounding gardens. The open kitchen/dining/sitting room is well equipped with everything once could need to prepare meals and enjoy them around the large dining table. Further double bi-fold doors lead directly onto the garden patio surrounded by trees and herbaceous borders. An outdoor table and chairs rest beneath a rose-laden pergola; perfect for enjoying a star gazing evening or al fresco dinner. The snug/office room with sofa and desk offers an opportunity for quietude, study or work; storage here has been cleverly transformed into a cellar to ensure there's enough cool provisions for celebrations. The boot /utility room and family shower room complete the ground floor.
The first-floor accommodation is unique in that one end of the property (accessed via the snug/office) comprises a double bedroom and bunk room. While, to the opposite end, via the main entrance hallway, there is a dedicated children's playroom, leading to a bunk bed room and an en-suite children's bathroom, making this a particularly memorable stay for little ones. There is also a super-king bedroom and two further double bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom). This setting means Foxhole Cottage is perfect for families/friends to sleep independently at either end of the house.
Stepping outside there is a large lawn garden with wildflower borders, plenty of well-established and younger trees. The patio is laden with roses and the house itself is surrounded by numerous flower beds and well-established borders, vines and wisteria. Vast lawns with a see-saw and two fenced off lakes mean there is ample space to explore, rest, play and enjoy.
