I loved being so close to the beach and seeing the ocean thru tropical plants and flowers. The sunrise often brilliant oranges and gold right at my doorstep on a lounge chair with my morning coffee, the lull of the ocean in the evenings and lovely cocktails if I wanted with friendly people from so many different states and countries.

Great location. Priced right. Pool and Jacuzzi were perfect. Bar at the pool made it better. Staff turned on the Bar Tv to be able to watch Soccer Semi-finals even though the bar wasn't open yet.

The room was very clean and there were snacks and treats when we arrived. The landscaping at islander on the beach was so beautiful we enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing all the different plants and flowers. We even enjoyed the chickens! The beds were comfortable the air conditioning worked well and was quiet. Slept great until the roosters woke us up ☺️

So close to beach, restaurants and shops! Great atmosphere. Slightly dated but location makes up for it. Staff was very helpful and quick to respond.

Room was okay, very homey. Only downside, sheets were filthy and mattress covers were even worse. Usually before we settle in anywhere we wash bedding/towels ourselves! Glad we did! Random peoples hair, sand, grass.

I love the location. Easy access to both the North or South shore excursions. I love the beach walkway. You can walk for miles following the shoreline trail. The condo is nice and the landscaped grounds are lovely. However, a stay here means dealing with frequent traffic delays.

Nice condo, great location. But Kauai is famous for being so wet. Not a big deal if you have a roof over your head, or so they say. This was the equivalent of camping in a rainstorm, with the rain getting in, everything was wet. The AC unit is a split system, meaning it only blows cold air in, but doesn’t take any moisture out. When we checked in the place was like an icebox. Turned it off right away. Also the floor was filthy. It’s a high quality travertine, but it had a serious film of moisture for one thing, but also hadn’t been mopped in who knows how long. At first we used the hand towels to scoot around on which turned black right away, but on our last day we figured out to use the beach towels as rugs to have some sort of comfort and not soil our socks. I know this is a house keeping issue, but until the humidity indoors is addressed I could not recommend this condo to anybody except maybe an otter or guppy. Aloha.

This unit was essentially like a 2-queen bed single hotel room, with a small food prep area in the bedroom (sink, microwave, toaster, coffee maker but no coffee supplies). It met our needs, but was very musty smelling upon arrival and took a couple of days to air out. The location mid-island was convenient however, and the adjacent coffee shop and very good restaurants made things convenient. There is a pretty beachfront, with great sunrise views and a walkable but fairly narrow/sloped beach, that was swimmable in summer (but not likely swimmable in choppier or winter weather). The first floor walkout was convenient.

Basic hotel room but a great location! On-site contact not very responsive. We had to contact rental company to get concerns addressed. They were addressed quickly then. Location is top notch, & we really just needed a place to sleep. I would recommend a check-in with housekeeping as it had a strong smell of bleach yet wasn’t very clean

Overall, we had a great stay. The location was great. The resort grounds were beautiful. It was nice that the room had everything we needed and the fact that there were beach chairs for us to use was an added bonus. Unfortunately, shortly after arriving we notice the room smelled a little like mildew and soon we discovered spots of mold on the wall between the bed and kitchenette. We also saw mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Our first night sleeping there felt very muggy in the room and we all woke up with stuffy noses. We noticed a `dry` setting on the air-conditioner remote and once we turned that on the room condition improved. My suggestion would be to clean the mold and make sure your staff and guests are notified to ALWAYS make sure the `dry` setting is turned on in the unit. We did not use the boogie boards but noticed they are pretty beat up and the foam was broken in multiple places.

Property description did not match room . Queen beds posted- only full beds in room . Linen did not fit beds- when we contacted management they wanted to charge us for new linens.vey difficult to get sheets that fit the beds multiple phone calls and time lost from our trip. Very dissatisfied hula management. Resort is nice

the unit i stayed in was infested with mold or mildew. i could smell something funky as soon as i walked in. thought since it`s humid, it must be common. i was waking up with a headache each morning. when i was out during the day, i felt fine. by day four, the daily headache intensified and experiencing nausea at this point, i left the premises for good, earlier than scheduled. onsite management never responded and vrbo representatives told me because i failed to report it sooner, nothing could be done. had i known this would affect my well being, i would have said something sooner. let my nauseating mistake be a lesson for you: this is not a safe environment. it is entirely unacceptable that an owner gets to get away with things like this. so please, save yourself the headache - literally and figuratively. oh and because this is a “private unit”, hotel staff, service, and amenities are not available to the renter. your money is no good here. but mold/mildew is.

Liked: Great location, unit 107 had partial ocean view, beach was beautiful, pool and hot tub were great, large beach lounge chairs are supplied by the resort on the beach, surf was good for family swimming and body boarding. Check in was easy, parking was free and resort was adjacent to a grocery store. Unit had great A/C, DVD + cable (DVD rentals available in lobby), microwave, silverware, plates, folding chairs and body boards available for free on the deck. Security guards on site. There is a Buffalo Wild Wings type bar and kayaking/tour guide center right next to the unit which was nice. The pool features a bar with TV so you can watch sports from the pool or hot tub. Walking distance to huge Lydgate park with grass fields and restrooms. Short drive or bus ride to Kealia beach with large waves for surfing + bathrooms. Disliked: Could have been cleaner, such as moldy shower curtain (black spots on inside), clean but very smelly fridge (possible rotted fishfish spill not cleaned with bleach). Several floor tiles looked dirty but we`re just stained. Sliding glass door was filmy/cloudy like it had been wiped with an oily rag, hard to see out of but did have an ocean view. Sliding glass door looked like it had been broken into before and had a makeshift lock that worked fine but wasn`t ideal for the price paid. Upstairs and next door neighbors sounds can be heard through walls and cieling, but not that bad. All of which was fine for me but others might have been upset with. The only thing that really drove me crazy was the roosters being really loud at 5am at both the front and backdoors. All in all I would stay there again was very beautiful could have been a little bit cleaner and a little quiter due to wild chickens.

Unit in a resort on the beach in Kapa`a. Check in was friendly and easy. Restaurant next door had live music every night - excellent food and drink. Although the unit was somewhat dated it was clean and safe. Location was an easy drive to many of the island`s attractions.

Nice place! Convenient to shopping, food, ocean, snorkel rental, just about anything you might want or need on your Hawaiian Vacation. The room was small, but clean and cozy. Grounds were well kept, and the pool was nice

The room is just on the beach, ideal location for people going to Hawaii. The vacation community is beautiful and clean. Check it instructions were clear and sent timely. The price is good for Christmas time. The only problem is that the unit charges $25 for new towels and toiletries stuff, and there was no cleaning during the stay.

The close proximity to the beach allowed us daily access to experience beautiful sunrises. Also within walking distance were shops, and Jojo`s shaved ice.

Rental was clean, but had a musty smell that was a bit overwhelming. It was better once the AC was turned on, but still present. The vacation was still amazing, and location of the rental was perfect for us.
