Hotel could have been cleaner and the rooms were definitely date but the location was extremely convenient and the bed comfort was a 10/10

Very confortable room, very good price, but veryuncordial welcme at front desk. Pvrall did the job.

Was very okay,
Bedding and beds were clean and comfortable but over all repair of the hotel was out of date and not amazing.
Bathroom was missing towel bar, there was a tissue stuffed in the peephole of the room door on the inside, paint, wallpaper and drywall damaged in multiple places, over all its out of date and doesnt look like repairs or esthetic are much of a priority.
Given the prices in Montreal its okay for the lower end of pricing but next time i will certainly spend more to stay somewhere nicer.
Check in was fast and easy and the front desk attendant was friendly.
3.3
Simple place, quick check-in but limited parking space. They will send you to a nearby parking garage which gets cheap after 5pm.

Nice staff confortable beds

Room had nice new floors and a renovated bathroom. Still shabby in various ways. Main problem is that major construction at property next door began at 5:30 am and it was difficult to sleep much after that.

excellent value, was clean and comfortable, there is a parking garage nearby, the location is a very short walk to all the action on Saint-Catherine Street

Chrome Hotel in Montreal is great value for your dollar. It was the most economical hotel with the best location possible. The Airport shuttle 747 bus drops you off right across the street from the hotel. Cost is $11.00 and it gives you 24 access to bus and metro. The hotel is only a 4 block walk to Old Montreal where we spent most of our time for the 4 days we were there. You are a 2 block walk to China Town which has so many wonderful restaurant choices all at a reasonable cost.
Our room was very basic but the bed and linings were very comfortable. Room is only cleaned every 3 days which for a 4 day stay was okay. You can go to the front desk for more/clean linings if you need The front desk was quick and great when we requested a room change due to construction noise. The common areas have been renovated but the rooms themselves need to be updated. But as I said before, for what we paid we were totally satisfied. Would stay here again

Very clean and spacious, especially considering the price and great location. I saw a lot of people complaining in the reviews about the loud construction. It was taking place directly outside my window and I never woke up from it nor was I disturbed by it. Great stay!
3.3
Comfortable and clean. Great value for money.
3.3
Central location. Clean room. Very good for solo short stay.
3.3
Location pretty good. Bed decent size and comfortable enough.
Bag storage charge unwelcome, particularly if you turn up an hour before check in and dont want to sit in reception.
Hot water came thought both hot and cold taps. Shower unusable as water was scolding even when set to lowest temperature, even if letting it run for a while to adjust.
They insist on a security deposit 'in case you smoke', even if you've specified no smoking room on the booking on the off chance smoking rooms do exist. No point challenging the logic as they simply say you have to pay it or not stay. Also state five tk ten days for refunding, which seems excessive.
Fair to say, wasnt impressed and unlikely to stay there if in the area again.
Hairdryer also not attached to wall.

Great location close to Old Port and the subway. Good find for a weekend girls’ trip in your early 20s, as there are truly no frills and it was the cheapest option on this site. However, for a romantic weekend, this place gives you nothing. The bed was old, lumpy, and squeaky, with insufficient blankets and pillows. We found it odd that patrons were forced to ring a doorbell to be let into the hotel past 11 pm, with the front desk staff member being the deciding body that determined our ability to sleep where we paid to. Furthermore, the hallways were dimly lit and a little creepy, with outdated carpeting and wall art. The furniture in the room was much of the same. The room gets a few points because it was pretty spacious. Overall, however, it was a very average, bordering bad, experience.
3.3
The room was east facing, and there is very loud construction going on to the building next door on that side. The room was dated, but clean, and in a bit of disrepair. The restaurant on the ground floor is also closed to construction. The biggest benefit is its proximity to both St Catherine st and Old Montreal

The staff were nice but the rooms were smelly and not clean (beds and sheets were ok)... There were no windows to open to get fresh air and the air inside the rooms was stale... The air conditioner was noisy.
We asked the Reception to give us another room but the room they offered us was worse than the first one...
The neighborhood was not walkable at night time...

I hope bottled water can be added to the room

State of the property needs to worked on, pics on their on hotels.com actually fooled me
3.3
Room was less than satisfactory - rigs were all stained, the main light flickered on and off the whole time, the shower got freezing cold if you ran water of flushed the toilet. Room was dirty, the drink vending machine had towels around it to keep water away fro
The floor due to leaking. The furnishings were old and beat up, the mattress didn’t fit the bed frame. Also the window shades didn’t close so the lights from outside shined in while trying to sleep. The toilet ran continuously unless you physically lifted the handle. The entry door required pushing hard to ensure it closed properly.

Great location. BUT, if booked through Hotel.com, I have to pay a fee per luggage for storage after check out. I was told this service will be complimentary if we booked directly instead of through an agent.
How disappointed!

Worst hotel stay ever

The customer service is not the best. Parking was not available in the same building.

It was a great selection for us since we only needed a place to sleep for one night while exploring Chinatown and downtown of Montreal. The overnight parking was $12 two streets away.

Great location near Chinatown, Old Montreal, Downtown and the platue but don't expect anything more than that. Limited parking (we only managed to get one on the 2nd day) and outdated in most regards. But the price is mostly fair with that location.
3.3
The hotel is close to Montreal's old port tourist spot. However, the pictures on the website show the hotel in an entirely different condition. The room is dirty, and the air conditioning stinks. We ended up checking out the next day and looked for a different hotel.
I will not go back to this hotel again.
3.3
The location is close to everything, the airport shuttle stop out front, good access to public transportation. But the area has really gone downhill, there are a ton of people on drugs and homeless people in the immediate area.
It seemed to be clean enough, but it smelled terrible and there weren't any windows that opened to air it out. I think they had just shampooed the carpets, which is great for things to be clean, but the chemical smell was very strong, to the point I had a sore throat. I asked for another room, but they were full and could not accommodate it, they told me to enquire the following day.
I know Montreal well, knew the area, so for the price, I'm fine with it. I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone for a holiday.
3.3
The lock on the door to the room could not be locked from the inside or outside.
3.3
It is noisy on 3 floor. All floor air conditioners machines are outside of our window.
3.3
Outdated hotel but clean and in the heart of the city. No bugs. Would recommend to anyone who is on the budget.
3.3
The position of the hotel is great fir the old city and arts area. There are shops and cafes nearby. The staff were pleasant and the reception area is good. However our room was very poor. A hole in the wall, black mould, paint on the bath, a plug that didn’t work. The receptionist said she’d move us but couldn’t as there wasn’t another room free. Disappointed to stay somewhere so shabby.
3.3
Close to old Mtl, two subway lines, a grocery store, many restaurants and centre town shopping complexes.

Hotel Chrome is an affordable, convenient, and reasonably comfortable base for exploring Old Town Montreal, including Chinatown just two blocks away! I was displeased that the hotel wanted to charge quite a high early check-in fee for checking in not terribly early (around 12noon or 1:00pm), forcing us to find a place to pay for parking and grab lunch before returning to the hotel to check in. Felt like nickel-and-diming us. On a very hot summer day we also had to remind the hotel maintenance staff to turn on the AC, which we shouldn't have had to do. But as Montreal hotels do, Hotel Chrome is very affordable given its central location, so if you can live with these kinds of flaws, then I recommend it as a base for exploring Old Town.

Everything was good
3.3
The hotel is located in DT, which makes it easy to commute to different places. Room services are once every three days, which is terrible. Once your coffee is over, no coffee or coffee dreamers are provided. The coffee maker in the room is terrible, as are the coffee and coffee creamer.
3.3
dark room and too old, insufficient light and broken, paid parking
