About this house rental
Nestling in the heart of rural Northamptonshire and overlooking the beautiful Brampton Valley, Corner House provides a rural base to unwind or explore a wide range of local activities.
Despite its rural location, Corner House is very well located, with easy access to the A14 and M1 motorway. The pretty town of Market Harborough is only eight miles away, with boutique shops and well-stocked supermarkets.
The Swan Pub is within a very short walking distance and provides an excellent range of food and drink.
There are countless activities for all ages nearby, including Lamport Hall (which has an excellent cafe on Wednesdays and Thursdays) and other country houses, childrens’ park farms, playgrounds, cycle networks, historic churches, museums, parks and sporting venues, including the home of Northampton Saints Rugby.
Sailing is available at Pitsford and Ravensthorpe Reservoirs. Wild swimming is available at Castle Ashby. A diverse shopping outlet is at Rushden Lakes.
There are numerous golf courses nearby including Brampton Heath, Northamptonshire County and Market Harborough Golf Clubs.
Country sports enthusiasts are well-catered with many local game shoots and hunting with the Pytchley and Woodland.
Silverstone is only 23 miles away and the cottage is ideally located to provide accommodation for motor racing days, conferences and events held at Silverstone. Sywell Aerodrome is a short distance away, providing a wide range of large events including Supercar, aero and other events.

Ideal for walkers and cyclists - the Brampton Valley way and a wonderful network of public footpaths and bridleways provide excellent opportunities for adventure and exercise in the open air.
Corner House has two well-sized double bedrooms, a single bedroom, sitting room and dining room, both with log stoves, a shower room, bathroom, kitchen and laundry area.
Outside are pretty lawned gardens with patio area and off-road parking. The house is centrally heated and has double glazing.
We provide two baskets of firewood on arrival, however the option to purchase more firewood and kindling is available at £10 per net.
Dogs are very welcome to stay (maximum of two small dogs). We politely ask that dogs do not go upstairs or onto the furniture.
The small town of Brixworth is 3 miles away, with a small supermarket, butcher’s shop, grocer, pharmacy, traditional pubs, Indian and Chinese restaurants, florist, hairdresser and Saxon Church.

The property was beautiful with lots of character. It was clean and well maintained and the flowers were a nice touch. The layout and location worked well with our 3 boys. The location is beautiful and it is a great location to explore that part of England.

A comfortable few days; very well placed for country walks and for Lamport Hall (opposite) and several other places. Only 20 minutes to Northampton. The pub opposite did us well, too.

Lovely property, very spacious. Can make sure the dog mess is cleared from the lawn. We were approached just before 10.30am on our last day as we were about to leave and told we should be out of the property by 10am and the cleaner had been waiting since 10.05am. On the information it states you don’t have to leave until 10.30.

Perfect for our 3 generation family getaway. We appreciated the milk and fresh flowers
Amy left to welcome us and loved the cozy ambience. The location and surroundings are amazing. Don’t miss a visit to the Swan across the road for lovely food and a warm welcome!

Lovely cottage and good location for a girls catch up for a few days. Especially opposite a good pub! Beautiful walks all around and stunning Lamport Hall down the road. Cottage is on a busy road/junction but the double glazing is excellent.
Cottage is a little tired and dated in places but roomy and good overall. Could have done with another bathroom upstairs maybe make one of the big rooms en-suite?
Definitely a lack of mirrors in the bedrooms. Little bedroom could do with a long mirror on the wall (plus a rubbish bin). One of the big bedrooms didn’t have a mirror at all.
We really appreciated the goodies in the fridge and the crisps. Many thanks! We had an enjoyable stay.

A lovely weekend stay in the corner house. Right opposite The Swan pub for a nice meal and a drink. The house had everything we needed and we had a great time The kids loved watching the cows in the field behind the house! Great communication from the team , couldn't fault it and would happily come again.

A very well organised team, the property is clean, well equipped, in a remote location.
I love it, we all had a fantastic time.
Definitely recommend!

Lovely property in an amazing location. It's rural, peaceful and quiet but close enough to shops, towns, lakes, nature walks and anything else you need within a few minutes drive. All of us, including our dog loved it. Amy and her team where extremely friendly and everything we need was provided. Log fires were just what we needed to chill out and relax and beds were very comfortable. The views are great and the pub across the street is very nice.

This is an excellent property that hosted a family stay over the festive period. It is well laid out, very nicely furnished, and cosy yet also spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and a delight to cook in, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms are also to a very high standard. There are also some lovely rural views out of the windows. It is great to see such a successful blend of period features and modern aspects. Much recommended!

We stayed for a couple of nights in this newly refurbished cottage. Nice and warm, great logburner, well equipped and good communication with Amy. Would thoroughly recommend especially as the pub is just over the road

This is an ideal house for walkers, pub goers and family days out. We walked directly from the house via all the back lanes into the country and up to Maidwell where we had a fab time at the Stag pub and caught the X7 home to our doorstep.
We also had a lovely evening in the Swan just over the road, they do good food at a reasonable price. we also ventured to Marketing Harborough which is just stuning and has a direct bus (20 mins).. but the best part of holiday was the house itself... immaculately clean and had everything.
Thanks Amy, we hope to be back
