Overall istay was excellent

It was very clean, spacious, good size shower and had access to a washing machine.

We found the chairs a bit uncomfortable as there was no couch in lounge room.

Exceptional

Our host, Edoardo, was very communicative even before our arrival. He helped with our questions regarding a lot of things such as train transport, buses, local supermarkets…especially useful, as we visited during Christmas time and regular timetables and opening hours can noticeably differ from the rest of the year. The kitchen is very homely - nice table to sit at in the evening- and very well equipped. You can easily prepare and cook meals, all the regular pots and utensils for a 1 week stay, including basics like olive oil being provided, which helps a lot. We really loved that the apartment is 3 or 4 minute walk from the local large supermarket- which is also beside the local train and bus station. Perfect connection to Maremma National Park by bus, takes about 25 minutes.

Cosy stay in this lovely garden house!

We stayed here for 3 nights in December 2022, and really enjoyed this little house! Edoardo the host is a really friendly, thoughtful person and helped us with some great tips for the local area. I chose this place firstly because I liked the design, with the beautifully restored historical furniture, and bright coloured floor and walls, plus the use of a well-equipped modern kitchen, which was great for some home comfort. Another bonus is that it is located in a peaceful little garden, away from the road, and you may have the pleasure of spotting bat Bonatti the owners' cat, and many species of birds in the garden on a morning! The house is a five minute walk from Grosseto main train station, perfect for arrival and departure by train, and also great to take the local bus to Alberese, for a visit to Maremma national park from there (bus G15, make sure you buy your tickets at the Tabac kiosk in the train station, and validate them on the bus! You can't buy them from the driver!) There are a couple of big supermarkets near the house, Pam and Lidl, just a few minutes walk, very handy. The city centre is a 15 minute walk away, and there you can find many, many restaurants and bars, and take a lovely walk around the city walls. And enjoy the lovely local lifestyle.
