Fantastic natural setting. The mountain hiking trail is right off the back yard door step. Horses are cute also.

What a wonderful staycation we had here on the west side of town. We were comfortable all day and night here. The yard was nice to use regularly throughout the day. We could see and hear horses throughout the day. We could walk right on to the Saguaro National Park trail system right off the driveway. Kitchen is sufficient. Lot of bang for your buck here! We loved our stay and would recommend the rental for friends, families and anyone that loves a little solitude and horses!

We vacationed in Tucson the 18-23 of February and stayed at Lou and Pam's guest house. Lou texted us immediately upon arrival in Tucson to tell us the codes to the property. He left the lights on since we arrived late. The next morning he stopped by and answered our questions about the property and provided us with a map showing hiking trails adjacent to his property. The property was just as described on VRBO. It was in a quiet location a few miles out of town. The house was plenty big enough for a family of 6. The property was adjacent to Saguaro National Park so you did not have to leave the property to go on a nice hike. There was a fenced yard perfect for our dog. The one lasting memory on this trip was the night in Lou's "saloon" where another guest and Lou entertained us while singing cowboy songs and playing their guitars. While we had never met Lou before this trip, he made us feel like old friends immediately. Loved staying at this guest house. There were so many cool places to go which were with in a few hours. Our favorites were Tombstone, Sweetwater Trail, Saguaro National Park, AZ Sonora Desert Museum, and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

Very private, but Lou was always nearby for questions as they arose. The house was wonderful. People of AZ were not paranoid with what the country is going thru
(Lights in East bathroom are out and night light in bedroom closest to guest house out as well)

My family and I were planning my dad's 80th birthday and decided to have a party central house for those of us coming from out of town. We found this place and it ended up being perfect for our needs. The owners were extremely accommodating helping us with extra tables and chairs for our small party. The area and the property we're perfect. The setup of the house worked well for those that we're staying there.
If the need arises we will definitely stay there again.

I wish the owner was little bit more responsive. Kitchen could have been much better had there been a portable induction cooktop and along with few pots and pans for families who plan to stay for few days. Apart from these, this is a 5 star property for sure.

Guest house is located on ranch property in very natural setting with cactus gardens. The owners have horses and we were very fortunate that one was born the night before we arrived. Helped to give a true "American Southwest" experience. Property was a good location for visiting Old Tucson Studios and Arizona Senora Dessert Museum. There are some restaurants within a 15 min drive (kitchen has microwave and small fridge which is fine for breakfast and lunch). We stayed for only two nights and did not venture into "downtown" Tucson area. We wanted to stay in a rural location rather than in a suburb...which we have at home. You definitely need a car to get around (we had a rental).

This is our second stay at this Tucson location. An ideal setting for a quiet two weeks in the dessert. The accommodations are adequate and the owners live close by the rental in the unforeseen event of any problems. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the Tuscan area.

Great Tucson location, so near to everything, yet "out and away" from it all. We loved watching the hot air balloons on the weekend mornings against the hills of Saguaro NP. The house accommodated our family well and everyone had lots of space to relax in. We are a "cooking" family and that was the part we had to get "creative" on, but managed to make the small "kitchen" area work for that as well. I loved taking my dog for morning walks around the neighborhood. Pam and Lou are gracious hosts and we will be returning again and again..

This was a wonderful location in the foothills with absolutely stunning views. Worked out great for our group of several couples. Good running roads all around and very close to Saguaro Natl Park. Very relaxing and enjoyable! Owner was great to work with. We all enjoyed the views and the vibe!

Perfect place to stay for our mountain biking trip. We needed a place that had 5 beds and this one delivered. It was a beautiful setting in the country side yet it was close to town. We will definitely be back!

Our riding group decided to head in a different direction and we travel to the Rocking M ranch! We had a fabulous time! You won't be disappointed by Rocking M's guest house & horse facilities. We rode every day and had time in the evening to venture out for dinner.
Lou was great to work with! We hope to be back in February!

This rental was truly a great find - I almost don't want to recommend it so it stays more of a secret. ;-)
This one-level house was just perfect for me, my hubby, our 4-legged critters, and our friends. You can easily host 8+ people at this rental without a problem and there's ample parking! The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toiletries and towels, and the covered back porch offered some really beautiful views and outside seating. Not to mention - it was incredibly quiet and secluded-feeling, which is a huge plus for us! :-) There are also some little trails on the property that are maintained well (dirt-packed) if you want to take a little stroll.
Like another reviewer mentioned - don't be deterred by the lack of an oven. There's a grocery store within about 10 minutes and it was easy enough to buy microwavable breakfast items and great fresh fruit. There is also a good-sized grill on the back porch - perfect for lunches and dinners. There's also plenty of dishes and silverware.
Bottom line: WE LOVED IT and it has definitely become our #1 go-to rental in Tucson.
