The overall unit was great for our families. Spectacular layout but, we did have some unexpected issues that we maintenance and cleanliness related.
Upon arrival at 4:15pm the unit was not ready for occupancy. The laundry was not completed and the floors were absolutely filthy.
The kitchen sink to the left of the refrigerator was not mounted properly making it nervous to use.
The main issue we had was due to the weather (rain) was the leaking. At approximately 8pm on the 30th we noticed that the dining room and kitchen drop ceiling was beginning to shed drops of water which ultimately turned into several substantial leaks which stayed active all night. We had to manage these throughout the evening by emptying pots of water and towels ever 2 hours for change outs. While I know that the rain was ongoing throughout the day, this was quite a burden for us for the price we pay and left us without several hours of vacation sleep. The leaks stopped once the rain turned to snow. From the looks of all the patch work that has taken place there previously, this seems like an ongoing problem with this unit that should be rectified! I will leave it to you to come up with some form of "make it right" decision.
We enjoyed the location and the layout of the unit and we would consider it again. If all the repairs are fixed.

I have never stayed in a vacation rental who's kitchen was so well equipped with pots pans etc, it really helped when cooking for 12 people. We had an issue with the hot tub but Julio was quick to reply with a fix so that was awesome! Also in the photos it shows there are no curtains or anything on the upstairs doors that head to the hot tub but when we arrived they added curtains which was nice. If we come back to Tahoe we will be renting this place, I will say it would have been nice to have some humidifiers in the bedrooms. Other than that the place was 10/10!

The location is good. Just a short drive to Stagecoach. The unit is a little funky. Cleary it was originally designed as a two units and the took out a wall so you have this one main room that is a mirror image on each side as well as the bedrooms on each side. There quite a few things that were broken when we got there including the BBQ which couldn't be fixed until the next day. That sucked because we had planned to BBQ for dinner. One of the beds was broken, and I mean unusable broken and none of the TVs worked. The property manager was a really good guy and fixed everything on the second day but the first night was pretty rough! Three stars for all the broken stuff otherwise would have been 4.

My family and I were upgraded to LUXE4 Blue Diamond when the cabin we originally booked in Tahoe Keys had to get maintenance done. I would like to preface that we strategically picked the other unit - to be family friendly. We wanted a place where we could all relax together and that was baby friendly - with space for our 1.5 year old grandson to run around worry free, a yard, etc. So we were pretty disappointed when we arrived, even though it was an upgrade. We should have done our research further and I wish there were more reviews that outlined everything in more detail.
This unit is NOT baby or kid friendly.
Pros:
Julio and Zorka were very responsive throughout our whole stay. We were able to check in a few hours early. It is close to the slopes, but we didn't have plans to ski. The views from the balconies were great for sunrise/sunset.
Cons:
Stairs: We were not expecting there to be so many stair cases. We had only brought 2 baby gates (1 for the top and 1 for the bottom) but there ended up being 4 different staircases. We had to use a coffee table, futon mattress, and trash can to create our own baby gates. Julio was able to drop off 2 more gates on our 2nd day but we were all still on high alert the entire trip.
Kitchen: it was nice to have double sinks, stoves, ovens and microwaves. However, the ovens took over an hour to heat up and one of the faucets on the sinks was broken/wobbly. This was also the first rental we have stayed at that didn't have things like salt/pepper etc and cleaning supplies. There was 1 kitchen towel and 1 roll of paper towels for the 4 days.
Living room area: there are 2 living areas - basically identical. But it's not possible to have both tvs on. It's hard to even hear one tv since the ceilings are so high and everything echos. We were not able to all relax/play games in the same area. The couches are also not comfortable for long lounging.
Bathrooms: The 4 bathrooms were spacious but there is no bathtub and we did not locate the steam room until our last day. It's in the downstairs bathroom right when you walk into the unit. Water pressure was weak in all bathrooms.
Bedrooms: All 4 bedrooms are pretty much the same - the beds are very uncomfortable and felt like we were sleeping on cardboard boxes. I slept on a futon we found in the closet the last 3 nights and my son in law slept on the couch because of this. The wooden slats on one of the beds were broken, but thankfully Julio was able to come measure and replace within the same day. There isn't much privacy to the bedrooms upstair. There are windows that open into the living room and the blinds are sheer and are more decorations. They do not block any light out. The rooms will not be dark/quiet if someone is downstairs with lights and TV on. This was a huge issue for us since our grandson was sleeping upstairs. We would have to be silent when he went down at 7pm and lights would need to be off.
Hottub: largest hottub I have ever seen. We loved relaxing in the later afternoons. Only issue with the hottub was that you can only get to it thru the upstairs bedrooms. My wife and I slept upstairs and our grandson slept in the other upstairs room, so our kids weren't able to enjoy the hottub at night since we were all in bed by 9pm.

Modern, albeit a bit stark, space ideal for large groups. We were there in the winter and experienced stunning views. The space was cold and unfortunately while we were there one fireplace quit working. While the kitchen was well appointed, bring all needed food items including seasoning. Owner was very responsive.

Great accommodations - clean, well-appointed, quiet, close to Heavenly lift (on the trolley route, about a 3 min drive). The hosts even made sure that we had a Christmas tree up for the holiday week. Thanks for a really lovely stay and memorable week.

The girls and I decided to go on a getaway and the home was beautiful and luxurious. We all appreciated the fact that everything in the property was neat and clean. We each had our own room and baths. Even though it was a short 4-day trip we enjoyed every minute of it.

My wife and I were struggling to get a last-minute place to stay for a last-minute getaway and we luckily found Luxevaca the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful they recommended a home and we were booked within minutes. This home is stunning inside and out not to mention how clean it was too. We had a great 15-year wedding anniversary. Thank You Luxevaca! Return is a must
