Upon arrival to the property and opening the front door we immediately noticed the musty and stale smell. When we opened the garage which is directly below the condo the smell was especially bad and repugnant. We noticed this odor had penetrated the 2nd bedroom and bathroom the most and those spaces were unusable. The smell was also noticeable from the lower kitchen cabinets. We notified the property manager immediately who acknowledged the garage odor as a known issue but only provided a small dehumidifier ordered from Amazon after we suggested it.
The property is advertised for short term stays but is not well equipped. The kitchen while having an oven did not have a single oven safe dish or tray to use. There were only a couple coffee cups and wine glasses several of which were chipped. We were provided with some oven safe dishes and thrift store coffee mugs from the property manager after we requested them. The wine glasses didn’t arrive until the week we were checking out.
There were other issues that confirmed the property has not been well maintained. The bathtub faucet was so corroded that we were afraid to use it. Both outside balconies were very dirty and we had to request that the hose bib be repaired in order for us to clean it ourselves. The other one the gutters directly below were completely clogged with mud and they were only cleaned after we requested it.
The Morro Bay area is beautiful but suggest guests look elsewhere for a short term rental.

The location of this condo was fabulous. We walked almost everywhere, every day. Yes, it is possible to see the ocean and watch for spouting whales from the balcony with your binoculars. Note, however, that the listing says it is air-conditioned, it is NOT. We were hoping to rent again next summer but someone beat us to it. Bummer.

The condo is in a location close to the Embarcadero. Great walks.
