We came in July to visit Sequoia National Park. It was hot in Three Rivers when we were there-each day over 100 degrees. The house was comfortable despite that. The nearby town was cute and had some places to eat and shop. The park is spectacular. Appliances worked well. Insects not surprisingly sought refuge in the home.We would love to return-when the temperatures are a bit cooler.

We booked our stay for 07/18/24-07/22/24. Due to the condition of the home we checked out 2 nights early. The manager has not honored my request for two night refund. He refused to give me his phone number to send him pictures/video of the home and went by the word of his handyman & cleaner. 1. There wasn’t a pond on property. It was drained. The backyard was not kept up. The patio furniture & umbrella were full of dirt, leaves, and cobwebs. 2. The sun room had not been cleaned. The room was dirty. We were unable to use the area. 3. The ceiling fan in the kitchen did not work. 4. The couches were dirty with stains. We had to use an extra set of sheets to cover the couch. 5. The primary bedroom was always hot. The portable AC requires the window to stay open. There was also a large cut in the screen easily allowing critters to enter the room. The primary shower light didn’t work. 6. During our stay a neighbor came to the home to obtain the property manager’s contact info. She stated she has made several complaints about the maintenance of the home. Unfortunately, I was never given contact information. All communication was restricted to the VRBO app. 7. A code enforcement officer came to the home for inspection while we were at Sequoia national park. 8. The home needs a deep clean. The windows and ledges haven’t been touched in quite some time. There are thick layers of dust. 9. Linens and towels are worn out. 10. The dishwasher hasn’t been cleaned. It’s dirty.

We were so excited to explore Sequoia as we had never been , but we did not like the vrbo. I knew it looked a little older in the pictures, but I trusted reviews of others who enjoyed their stay. Our experience included ants and a mouse in the kitchen the first night. I know we are among the wilderness but this house was a bit dingy. And I’m. It even going to mention the stuff in the garage. The critters grossed us out so much that we left after one night, although we booked three nights. Suffice it to say the owners version of clean and ours are not the same. We were uncomfortable here. The owners said they would send pest control. So I will give them that. But that was not enough to keep us here. We drove 5 hours home the next morning.

We came up for some tranquility and relaxation for a girls trip. We wanted to spend the day at Sequoia and then a day at the house just relaxing and enjoying the environment and amenities. The large property was beautiful. Small pond had tons of frogs we loved listening to! Neighbors next door have pigs and goats we loved watching them on our walks. The hot tub was the biggest hit! Early mornings and before bed routines were our favorite. Tip: turn off all the lights in house/ourdoor/and hot tub lights and enjoy the stars. The house was extremely comfortable and loved how open and airy it is. The screened in side room was enjoyed by all. The beds were comfy, the hot water was awesome, loved soaking in the spa tub so much. The house had everything you need. Kitchen was well stocked. We couldn’t have been happier! Will be back again.

This is as such a great experience. I was a bit apprehensive at first as one of the reviews was not overly favorable but the host was very responsive and put my mind at ease. Everything was as pictured and more. The rooms were clean and perfect. The master bedroom was just gorgeous. There were enough necessities that we didn’t feel that we went without anything, cups, plates, bowls, ample storage, etc. The wood burning fireplace was so cozy, the game room was a hit with the kids, and the spa was as luxurious! The windows roundabout the whole space made you always surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors, and excellent curtains when you wanted to close everything up. There was space enough for everyone to do their own thing. The property was well maintained and there were multiple sitting and eating areas. The pond was so much fun for the kids, you could see tiny tadpoles and hear the frogs gently in the night. Solid pest control in the mountains. I would recommend bringing your own groceries from home as there is basically one store and it is very expensive and the selection is extremely limited. We honestly can’t wait to go back. I had never heard of Three Rivers before but I won’t soon forget. The dining is limited but decent. The River View was solid and most restaurants overlook the gorgeous river. The Sequoia Coffee was our favorite, they’re open 7-2. There a visitors center and a mission and the locals are super friendly. Amazing trip.

The welcome message did not include code to access the property—only instructions on how to get the optional/emergency key from a key box. No phone signal for communication. The code to the key box was wrong and after trying random combinations, I got the key. The house was relatively clean, but plates had mice poop. Mice activity continued day/night. No central AC, but individual units on room floors, with uneven results on a very hot (104 deg Fahrenheit) day. Overall the house is spacious, the outdoor areas can use some cleaning and spider web cleaning, the mice and scorpions should be fumigated from indoors.

Water went out within 12 hours of arriving. Not able to use the TOILET, SINK, SHOWER, OR DISHWASHER. THERE WAS A RATS NEST INSIDE THE OVEN. MICE RUNNING THOUGH THE HOUSE. NO LINENS ON THE BEDS AND IT SLEEPS LESS THAN ADVERTISED WE ALL HAD TO LEAVE EARLY BECAUSE IT WAS INHABITABLE. THE OWNER/ HOST DID NOT CARE about our situation and did not do anything thing to reimburse us for not being able to stay. Still working with VRBO FOR A FULL REFUND
