Great home and location! Host was responsive to a minor plumbing issue and willing to accommodate our schedule to resolve it. Home has a unique feel and vibe and its character reflects the era it was built. Enjoy the lush nature around and embrace the beauty of the Midwest. Would stay again!

Traveled in from NJ and Michigan for a dear friend's wedding. The house is quaint, uniquely decorated and in a lovely neighborhood. We loved having a house rather than getting hotel rooms. Fantastic proximity to downtown, breweries and events. House is adequately equipped

The home is in a very nice neighborhood

The house is in a great part of town. The neighborhood is as safe as it gets. We enjoyed the house but as other reviews stated it may not be the best for young children unless you take certain precautions. We moved art pieces out of harms way. And kept kids away from sharp corners. None of the other reviews were wrong but maybe a little hyper critical. The house is prob almost 100 years old as are most in the area. If you go in expecting that you will be pleased. If u want to stay in a new build this may not be for u. I would definitely recommend this home to others.

We spend 4 nights here to attend our daughter's wedding at the Schlitz Audubon. It was an excellent location, spacious house and the kitchen was fully stocked with our needs.
The house has so much potential, but needs some work. While the house does appear to be clean (surface), it does need a real good deep cleaning. There are several small things that need to be repaired:
- Hot water faucet in kitchen leaks - need turn off under the sink to stop the leak.
- Some light fixtures do not work
- Many of the dishes needed to be washed before using
- Stove top was quite dirty
- Sump-pump drains water in front of the entry way into the house leaving a constant puddle in the sidewalk
- No cold water in one of the master bath sinks.

Spacious and cool decor in a great location. Place could use a few updates but overall lovely house. Lots of breakable art, though, so be careful if you have small children.

The house is exactly as described inside, and with a large backyard, as well. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was available. An issue with the AC was addressed by the owner immediately . The home itself is decorated in a most interesting way with an abundance of original art and unusual, but functional furniture.

House is in a great location. We had a tournament at the Uhilein soccer complex. Plenty of room in the house. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils etc.

We so enjoyed this house! It is filled with art (I think the homeowner might be a wonderful artist as well!). He must be a musician too. Very very cool guitars and memorabilia on display. Fascinating actually. There are lots of books. We loved the back tv room that overlooked the back yard. Great and very quiet location. We had our two little grandsons staying there with us. We put many pieces up so they could not reach them. But it worked out beautifully. Four adults and our two little guys. Highly recommend.
We were comfortable and happy in the house. Everything was thoughtfully provided. We really enjoyed our stay!

Overall, the property is a nice home. Neighborhood is very nice and quiet. House is also quite spacious. However, the house was simply nasty and dirty. Owner stated the house had been professionally cleaned and I suggested that they fire the housekeepers if that was the case. The floors were disgusting, the stovetop, oven, refrigerator and freezer were nasty…so much so we had to clean the fridge and freezer before even putting anything in it. There were cobwebs everywhere and there was a spider in the bed. I also questioned whether we were even sleeping on clean sheets.
The house also had a terrible ant problem and needs pest control treatment badly. We found ants all in the dog’s food.
The master bath sink clogged up where the owner had to get a plumber over to snake the pipe.
There were also various personal items located in closets, drawers, cabinets; making it appear as if the owner actually lives in the property.
This was by far the absolute worst rental home experience we have ever had. Would not stay again and would not recommend.

The property worked out well for my two sisters and our husbands. Lots of beautiful artwork on the walls, although some of it might not have been appropriate for children. :) The house was spacious and fit our needs and was in a great location. Host was very responsive and helpful. We'd recommend the house.

Located in quiet neighborhood with quick drive to nice park by lake (Doctor’s Park). Liked the privacy of the back yard and big window overlooking back yard. Overall rating based on housekeeping issues passed on to owner. Owner accessible and responsive.

We traveled to the area for a wedding and the neighborhood was safe and nice for walking, playground and beach close by! Great play set in back yard and all the space you need.

This was a great place to stay. We loved it. Little playground in the back yard, lots of space and rooms to explore. Multiple bathrooms. Families with small kids, there are a lot of sculptures and art that might attract small hands -- be prepared to move stuff out of reach. But also made for a lot of fun...exploring instruments and drums and grateful dead tchochkeys. And TONS of personality. This house had personality all over the place. The decor (which was one reason I chose it) made it feel like a funky vacation home in Medocino...but there we were in Fox Point! Great location. A few tiny issues that the host was very responsive to and at the end of the day, I'd gladly stay there again!

Stayed at the home to attend a family reunion in area. House has a great location and is close to many activities. Went to the Schlitz Audubon Center close to house. The house is a large older home and has lots of decorations. The host is new to renting so still learning, and I gave him some suggestions for improvements from other rentals experiences. Two living areas and three bedrooms with queen or king size bed. The bedroom I stayed in had stars on the ceiling when it was dark, and very relaxing and fun.

My family stayed at the house for a nearby family celebration. The house was conveniently located since it was less than 1 mile from our family gathering over the weekend. The house was roomy, on a quiet street and close to the lake, had plenty of "hanging out" areas throughout the house, and only about 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee. Overall, we would stay here again as long as some of the recommendations (which I forwarded) are addressed. I gave 3 stars re: accuracy of online listing as this house was advertised as a 4 bedroom but we only saw/had access to 3 bedrooms. If you are interested in this house, I would just reach out to the house rep to confirm whether the 4th bedroom is accessible. Although I only gave an overall rating of a 3, I would stay here again as long as the recommendations I forwarded are addressed and if so, I would probably give a higher overall rating. But most of the recommendations are minor and can be easily addressed.
