About this cottage rental
Welcome home to the perfect place to get away from life’s challenges and relax!
The house was originally built as a fishing cabin in 1952 with beautiful vaulted wood beam ceilings and wall to wall windows looking out towards our lagoon and Puget Sound beyond.
Updated recently, this cozy west-facing home has a spacious kitchen, dining and living areas. There are two queen bedrooms, and a large bathroom with laundry room.
The front of the house offers a huge deck overlooking the unobstructed view of the lagoon and ocean beyond.
Besides access to the beach there are ample places to walk and or ride a bike. During fishing season, bring your pole and try your luck at the beach
The house is stocked with games, puzzles, a few books, a TV in the living room, and WiFi for your devices.
We are just about 1.5 miles north of South Whidbey State Park where you will find magnificent old trees with easy hiking trails.
Just three miles up the road you will find the fabulous Greenbank Store and Pantry that has a wonderful deli, grocery staples plus delicacies. The Dolce Bakery is next door serving baked goods and espresso.
We are near the Olympic Peninsula so day trips to explore the mountains, pacific coast or rain forest are ideal. Two historic naval forts on the island that are fun to explore are a short car ride away.
The Port Townsend ferry is 30 minutes north where you can drive or walk on to explore the great shopping, restaurants, festivals.
Four miles away is Greenbank Farms where you will find a variety of specialty shops. Stop into Old Spots Bistro for famous and delicious Whidbey Pie, a well-stocked cheese purveyor, a winery and a wonderful off leash dog park.

We were looking for a peaceful place just to get away and do absolutely nothing for a couple of days and this place was perfect for doing that.

What a gem of a place! This home suited us perfectly for our weekend getaway to Whidbey Island. Super clean, cute and funtional decor and furnishings, and well stocked with everything you need. We loved the front deck with sunset views over the water, wildlife watching (eagles, harrons and deer!), and general location all around. Great communication from the owner too. Highly recommend!

We had the best time exploring Whidbey Island and could not have asked for a better homebase to do so. The property was wonderful, nothing overlooked in comfort and décor. Anything you could need was there, well supplied kitchen and bathroom. I can still mentally take myself back to the front window seating area enjoying my coffee and staring at the water. We hope to return soon to the peacefulness and relaxation. Laura was amazing to work with as well- thank you for opening up your home for others to experience your magical haven.

We had a lovely time enjoying the last days of warm, sunny PNW weather during our short stay! The house was clean, warm/inviting, and had nice views out the big windows and on the large deck! The neighborhood was quiet and great for biking/walking/scootering with kids and has two access points to the water/beach. Perfect way to recharge.

Beautiful cottage by the water in quiet corner of the world. We loved staying at this cute two bedroom cottage with perfect nautical aesthetic. The owner had everything available you could need for your stay, complete with suggestions for favorite spots on the island. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here in August 2023. The property has a lovely deck with plenty of comfortable seating to watch sunsets over the lagoon. The home is well decorated and has a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and hope you do, too!

I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful property on Whidbey Island. As you approach the property, it feels as if you’re coming back to your grandmother’s neighborhood beach cabin.
However, when you step inside, everything has been modernized in just the right way. The house is light and airy. The blue and white color choice makes everything peaceful and “beach- like. “
Everything that you could need to make your stay enjoyable is there for your use. The kitchen has modern appliances and for folks who love to cook - everything is there.
We did not have a chance to use the barbecue or the bikes, sitting there for our usage.
The owner has a very detailed, helpful instruction manual for both the house and for making your trip to Whidbey Island, more enjoyable. We did get a chance to take a leisurely walk along the lagoon. Everyone there friendly and quick to say hello. Cannot beat the sunsets looking out to the canal.
All communication with the owner was efficient, personable, and response time was amazing.
As you can tell, I would go back to this VRBO tomorrow. What a delightful find.

We had a fantastic time staying at this lovely cottage! The view from the deck was great and enjoyable. The owner was incredibly helpful, friendly, and always quick to respond to any questions we had. They even went above and beyond by providing a blow-up bed for the kids, allowing the adults to have their own rooms, which was a huge plus!
The cottage was very well stocked with all the essentials and more. They had everything we needed, including spices, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, and much more. So, no need to worry about packing those items!
The owner also had a helpful book filled with all the necessary information, such as how to connect to Wi-Fi and interesting facts about the location. It was a great resource during our stay.
The deck was an excellent place to relax, and the neighborhood was charming and safe. We highly recommend bringing your kids' bikes or scooters to explore the area. We were lucky enough to spot lots of wildlife, including deer and eagles, which added to the overall experience.
The cottage itself was wonderfully designed and well-maintained. Everything was in perfect condition, making our stay even more enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot!
Overall, our experience at this cottage was nothing short of amazing. We had a memorable and enjoyable stay, and we can't wait to return. Thank you to the owner for making our trip so special!
