Hosts are very attentive and informative. Room was very well appointed

Location was central with main Ballarat features within walking distance. Did not dine in-house but food/menu looked good. Restaurant Babae was just starting out. Breakfast was good.

Parking was available on street in front of the Hotel or 2 doors down off street ( very minor issue)

Just a delight. I’ll definitely be back again.

I was greeted at the door and given a tour of the hotel. Shown my room and offered a complementary upgrade to a slightly larger room. The bathroom and shower was incredible and the bed was amazingly comfy!

There was no faults with my stay!

Absolutely amazing boutique hotel. Martin greeted us on arrival and gave us a guided tour of this 5 star hotel. We were blown away but the luxury, service and all the little details that were considered.

Pure luxury

Martin and David are so welcoming and friendly . Check in is personal and appreciated the recommendations for eateries . Luxurious room with comfortable bed and such attention to every detail . Breakfast was delicious and beautiful surroundings . Looking forward to a return stay

Hotel Vera provides everything you would expect in a fine hotel, and more.

The hotel is simply superb in every way and rare to find, from the warm welcome we received, the breakfasts and the hospitality we were shown. The owners have created a paradise in what was just an old building. We would recommend Hotel Vera to anyone travelling to the Ballarat region.

A beautifully renovated boutique hotel that gave you privacy but at the same time provided a warm welcoming ambience.

The service was impeccable. Check-in was personalised and easy and he even booked my dinner reservation. I received a complimentary upgrade due to it being a quiet evening. the detail in the suite was magical, double shower head with amazing pressure, exceptional decor, and bedding. The most stunning update of a beautiful old Ballarat house, seamlessly blending old with very special new. Couldn't have had more attentive hosts and the breakfast in the beautiful dining room/restaurant area was to die for. We'll be back.

We would definitely stay at the Hotel Vera again. It’s beautiful and well located for bars and restaurants and our hosts

The Vera is a beautifully renovated property with a very relaxed vibe. From the minute we arrived David and Martin, our hosts, were warm and friendly and made us feel at home. David showed us some of the other rooms and they were all to the same high standard. The twin shower was fantastic and the bed large and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty without being too filling so we could enjoy lunch in the many good cafes here.

I prefer a closing door to the bathroom but then we’ve been together for many years so personal space is not a big issue!

Very nice place to stay

The servant Sara is very enthusiastic and patient about introducing the rooms and help with us. She lets me choose the vacant room to stay in. The decoration and design of the room is awesome. Also good location. Allow free overnight parking.

Luxurious Victorian house with modern comforts!

Exquisitely renovated beautiful old house with all the modern brand new comforts that you can imagine. Very upscale and beautifully decorated rooms. The bathroom was luxurious with a fantastic shower and bath. Super comfortable bed. The owner greeted us personally and showed the room's different features.

Unfortunately their restaurant was closed the day we were there.

Nice hotel but make sure you are not paying for disabled bedroom

Hotel is lovely and furnishings are great. Staff are really nice.

During our stay there was a small wedding in the restaurant and we were not allowed to use other areas but our bedroom and communal lounge which is sort of used as a reception so you feel awkward siting there. Unfortunately we were accommodated in the ground floor bedroom which is used as a bedroom for disabled guests. This wouldn't be a problem if the main door to this room is not on automated opening/closing so every time you use it you need to wait 8-10 seconds to start closing and it takes time to close as well. On top of this, bedroom is next to the entrance to this hotel so you can hear people coming home. Our biggest problem was no openable window and not even any views as the main window is frosted. We could see that hotel is operated well, it is beautiful presented but I would make sure you are not put in this bedroom as you will feel cheated and feel that local motel could have been much better option. I feel guilty giving such a different score then most of the other guests but for this sort of money we have expected much more.
