This was the best place we’ve stayed in during our Vietnam trip. Everything about this hotel is special. It is located in a non touristic area surrounded by a beautiful lake. Everyone from the cleaning lady, to the chef, hotel manager and owner (Peter) were absolutely adorable and available. The food was special like nothing we’ve eaten in the country super fresh and we event organized our day so we could go and have dinner at the hotel. The building is a piece of art from the rooms with special touches such as natural stones to wood, to the pieces of art done by the owner, everything is unique. Only regret: that we didn’t stay long enough.

Thanks to all the team at Eco Lagoon - Chau for all her help arranging transport & quickly finding a missing fridge for the room and Vinh for his remarkable meals of generous proportions. Everyone’s great - highly recommended!

This house is a piece of art. Whatever you have heard about 'Boutique' is a shadow of what you will meet here. I didn't know what I was searching for in Vietnam, but now I have found it.
The staff needs some teaching about how to treat guests. They were friendly but somehow always busy with their smartphones.

We were on the fence about booking Eco Lagoon as it's a newer listing but thank goodness we did. Probably the most serene and beautiful place I have ever stayed. The host, Peter, has built one of the most incredible places I've ever seen. Pleaseeee make sure you let peter and the team cook for you, the food was the highlight of our stay. Our room was top floor at the back of the property overlooking the lagoon, the room was elegantly designed and felt authentic with all the wood and stone finishings, no plastic to be seen. Just book it, you won't regret staying here.
The single air con unit in the top floor under a metal roof in the hot sun did struggle a little during the peak sunshine but it was never uncomfortably hot, my advice to peter would be to potentially add a second unit for this room in future. The shower is a really unique feature in the room however it would sometimes flood along the far wall, again not a major issue but worth taking a look at.

Place is beautiful and well designed in a quiet area, looks just as it does in the pictures. The owner and his staff are wonderful people who will make you feel at home, they will even invite you to eat dinner together with the other guests. And the dinner was delicious! Unfortunately only stayed the night but would have loved to stay longer if I could.

I had an amazing stay at the Eco Lagoon with Peter and his family. The place is beautifully designed: it has a Japanese feel with an island vibe - an ideal combination. Peter is an artist and you can see his stunning art dotted around the space. The experience felt more like staying at the home of a friend with great taste than a hotel which I loved. Peter is a fantastic host, warm and witty and an amazing cook to boot. I had some of my favourite meals in Vietnam there (also delicious wine which is hard to find in Vietnam). You can kayak across the lagoon to the beach, or chill on the terrace and watch the sunset. I came here by myself after a few weeks travelling with my boyfriend and it was a dreamy way to end the trip.

The building itself was a work of art. The room was magnificent. Very peaceful. This lodge is set upon a lagoon and a short kayak across the lagoon is a beach on the gulf of Thailand. From our room we could see traditional fishing boats moored off shore. The host and his staff are very kind and helpful. They prepared vegetarian meals for us. They brought in a rental scooter for our use. Everything you need- just ask them.

One of the most amazing hotels we stayed in in Vietnam! Incredible location right on the lagoon and beach with kayaks and bikes available to use. The rooms and shared spaces are beautiful with great views, plants, thoughtful design and with amazing art from the owner everywhere. Feels very calm and serene but easy reach to everywhere you’d want to go on the island. The staff are also so kind, helpful and offer great conversation. It’s a brand new place and we really hope it does well and people choose to stay here - you won’t be disappointed. Hope to come back one day!
Nothing, it was all perfect.
