Rooms small but clean and comfortable. Good position in city with secure car park. Problem with air conditioner being very noisy

I stayed in a room with an accessible bathroom and whilst there was a shower curtain, water spread over 2/3rds of the floor. It took a long time to dry. I suggest that a squiggle mop be provided to wipe the floor.
The bed squeaked always when I first got into it, but was OK as I slept well.
The best thing about Hotel Totto was its location - close to some great eating places and shops. But even better, were the staff - everyone of them happy to help you with a smile on their faces and a cheerful disposition. The staff made up for the shortcomings in the accessible bathroom.

Brilliant stay at the Totto, The staff were excellent very happy, helful and friendly. The hotel was in a very good area to visit shops. Food very good we would recomend.
3.0
The room was extremely small including the shower, there was not enough room to pass the bed unless one person waited. There was no iron and ironing board, i can see why, there be no room to fit then in. Only one coffee cup and one glass. If we were staying longer than 0ne night we would have changed hotels. i must say the breakfast was good value and nice staff.

Booking in is self book in and not working properly.
Bed mattress is cheap and uncomfortable springs coming through the bed
Got up this morning to a cold shower
No one at reception on book out

Hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants and entertainment .
However the room was quite dirty where I stayed it was quite dusty and paper rubbish was under the bed.
Coffee tea was not filled up,it had cups provided but no teespoons and the bathroom was not stocked well.
Soap and hand cream dispensers were empty.
I found a 1 night stay was a little overly priced for what it offered.

Air conditioners can be loud in hotels but Totto’s “new” a/c used for heating on a near zero degree evening sounded like a jet engine. I recorded it and played for the receptionist on check out and wasn’t charged for parking. The family who checked out after me made the same complaint.
Paid to overnight in Wollongong for a desperately needed good night’s sleep and had none. Totto is convenient but will never stay again.

Generally I like this property for its location, excellent service and its cleanliness.
What let the side down this visit was sloppy housekeeping and extremely noisy aircon.

Great value, central location.

Stayed the night to attend a local event - great choice as perfect location, walking distance from the train station, great facilities, wonderful staff, clean and tidy and the best king bed I have every slept in away from home.

Best location on back of shopping centre with plenty cafe and restaurant around. Little cosy room.
The only thing bordering noise from air-condition.

Great location, modern and clean facilities with a cafe at the doorstep.

Just stayed one night. The rooms were very clean etc byt the air-conditioner sounded like a train going past. It woke me several times. Location is good but not the most relaxing, which was not possible.

I feel like my room hadn’t been cleaned prior to checking in the bed linen was stained and the bathroom was filthy with hair other matter splashed on the basin.

We really enjoyed the stay and the lovely staff who were all friendly, helpful and very professional. We'll certainly come back.
Only negative was the noise from outside the room. needs more insulation I think for when people are noisy in the corridors. That aside, all else was perfect.

It was my worst experience in 15 years. The supposed hotel should be renamed as a backpacker or motel. Hotel as the name does not fit ‘Hotel Totto’. The facility was more or less leaving a jungle. They were disorganised—the toilet and bathroom wash hand basin were always dirty.

Clean and comfortable. TOTTO is now my go to in the gong!

Room was very clean. Water pressure was great. I think some additional shelving in bathroom would be helpful. Only sink available to put toiletries. I also think that food was under seasoned & over priced, especially breakfast, but there are multiple restaurants within walking distance that were very good. I appreciated laundry facility on site but there was no detergent available - bring your own. Great location within city. Close to bus stops & 10-15 min walk to train station. Staff was great.

Definitely become our new go-to hotel whenever we stay in Wollongong. Totto Hotel caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s a short walk away from everything Wollongong town has to offer, the staff are lovely and rooms are very clean and modern-style.

Pros - location is right in the city, close to WIN stadium and the beach.
Cons - No milk/cream for the in room coffee, although I think that was an oversight in my room, as the other room in our group had some. The rooms are fairly small as well, with a desk, and a stool/ottoman thing but no chair. And the really weird thing, was no phone in the room, so I couldn't even call down to the front desk to get the missing coffee cream.
Other - Check in was automated, which some people loved, but I'm not a huge fan of. Cards are printed and issued through a McDonald's style self service touchscreen, although the restaurant/bar staff are also there to cover the desk if needed. Parking was a bit on the pricey side, but I could be a little jaded as when we stayed here a year ago they provided the parking for free. On the other hand, as long as we paid for one spot, they didn't mind us parking three motorcycles in it.

This was one of the least personal hotel experiences we ever had. Checkin was via a touch screen app. The machine had a fault and so wouldn’t accept my phone payment. Luckily my husband had his wallet otherwise I’m not sure what would have happened.
We paid the additional parking fee of $25 and a nearly $5 charge to use my savings card.
The room was clean and serviceable with no frills. The bathroom was well appointed and also clean.
The bed was small and not very comfortable unfortunately. Bring your own pillow.
It’s a good location and close to the main shops and eat streets.
During the night an evacuation alarm sounded. The entire hotel had to evacuate via fire stairs and wait outside around midnight. Eventually we were let back in with no direction, explanation or apology from any staff member. In the morning this was again not addressed on check out by the disinterested seeming staff. Nobody checked on our experience, just directed us to the check out machine.
Overall a pretty average experience.

Small room for cost, no breakfast as chef late, paid for parking and carpark full when we returned at night. A fire alarm going off in the middle of the night capped it all off!

Room was booked as a queen room.there was no chair in the room leaving only the bed to sit on. No wardrobe only a wire mess on the wall to hang clothes, also only one rail in bathroom to hang one towel and nowhere to place handtowel. The marketing of the hotel was very good but misleading as the rooms were for student accommodation previously and although refurbished to a good standard the room was nowhere a queen room for two people, but the cost per night greatly exceeded the quality you could reasonably expect. Would not stay there again nor recommended to family or friends

The staff were all jolly and nice unless you try to talk to them. They were always on the phone. I stood in front of her for 10 minutes with any knowledgement. Over 3 days all staff on the desk were the same. On the phone. Asked for a chair 3 straight days to 4 different women and all said yes. No chair showed up. Cleaner came in 3 days and gave new towels, that was it. No bed makeup, no new glasses or cups or spoons. Room was very small, and only 4 hangers to hang clothes on the wall. The good thing about the hotel was the pizza and the happy hour drinks from 4 to 6.

Very small rooms, and very expensive - 1 night $314 have to also pay $25 parking.

Good hotel plus friendly staff.
