The location was central to the city and the beach. It also had good restaurants surrounding
Someone was able to charge breakfast to our room without any verification from the hotel. They apparently signed a signature that looked similar to mine and the hotel thought this would pass. They ended up refunding the amount but could not refund credit card surcharge. Anyway the dodgy act had been done. The manager stated this was unprecedented. I understand these things can happen, however it is the principle.

Good location friendly staff nice room
If I had to pick something it would be the entrance from the car parking to the motel. It looked a bit rough and unkept. Didn’t match the rest of the motel at all!

We came down for the footy and were pleasantly surprised how close we were to the oval. Also, with a short walk to the shops and a short Uber to Hoyts, my son and I enjoyed our weekend stay in this ideally located hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well which was nice.

We have stayed here twice before and the location and facility is first class and so good value for money
The restaurant is still experiencing problems with delays and considering it was the same back in February 2023 it is obvious they have not fixed this, although we did receive a discount for the delay.

Clean, comfortable and conveniently close to what i was doing in Wollongong. Secure undercover parking. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast.

24 hour service and location
Honestly, I wasn't planning on complaining, but the seed that the hotel front desk clerk planted has been bothering me since I left the hotel. During check-in, Nov 17th 2023, I asked the male front desk clerk who checked us in if our room had a good view, as shown on the brochure. Unfortunately, he replied that all rooms with good views were all taken/fully booked, and our room did not have the best views. He also mentioned that if we had booked directly with the hotel, they could have organized a different room, but since we booked with Bookings.com, that was not possible. This made me wonder if third-party bookings like Bookings.com don't get the best rooms as you book this way to save money. The room we got had some issues, with webs in the cornices, the iron had no cap where the water goes in. When ironing my shirt an hour before an event, water spilled all over my shirt. The cleaners didn't clean our room even though we left the "please clean room" sign on the front door. I had to request the room to be cleaned twice, and when it was done, there were no coffee pods provided, so I had to call again. Overall, I would rate the hotel a two out of five based on the room, its wear and tear and the service. Mainly because of the check-in experience. Not worth its $550.00 for two nights plus parking fees.

I liked it’s location and the facilities provided at the Sage.
The pool could do with some maintenance. There is some scum on the tiles above the water line.

Location was central, view of the ocean was spectacular. Wedding anniversary card and surprise dessert were a wonderful gesture.
Having more milk available in the fridge for tea and coffee would have been great e.g.: 1 litre long life milk would be perfect.

Location was good
The noise in the function room by the pool went until 1130pm, no notification to guests about the potential noise! I was in the 10th floor and the bass of the sound system vibrated into my room, not even having the tv on drowned out the sound and I had both sliding doors closed, I couldn’t sleep until after midnight, I called to ask the receptionist about the noise, she advised me there was a function and that it would go until 1130pm and hung up! Staff were absolutely rude except a lovely Indian woman (Bhorsa I think her name was) whose name I could not pronounce , who kept being told by white staff members how to do her job, even when she was making my coffee a white male staff member made it a point to belittle her in front of me whilst she was making coffee and I told him she was perfectly capable and her coffees were good, to which he walked off! The blonde bar lady was rude and acted like she didn’t want to be at work!
The mattress in my room was filthy, hair of all kinds, stains of who knows what, fluff from who knows how long and the head board kept banging against the wall lol anyone would have thought I was being super active on the bed with a few others lol
The noise from the hall ways was ridiculous!
This hotel is also a base for the Hillsong Church and as a non-faith person, I felt that I was staying at a Christian convention centre, nothing against Christianity, but not every person feels safe among such conservatism.

we booked and paid for water / golf views
the only reason we stayed in Wollongong was for these views
we got the car park view
when asked were told we cant guarantee the view ,
then why charge me the extra money
I’ve been travelling for 39 years never been so disappointed

room service was great food was beautiful. We stayed at sage hotel as it was nice and close to win stadium, great location to walk across to the footy.
the front door of our hotel room was broken at the bottom and wouldn’t close properly without holding in with your foot whilst closing.

It might sound picky I didn't have any body moisturiser in my room in an effort to pack lightly I appreciate the complementary toiletries
