A delightful location and hotel. The rooms were fantastic with patio and lounge, massive bathroom and very comfortable bed. The views were wonderful. A very enjoyable stay. Will be back.

A nice looking place with gorgeous grounds. I had a room in the main building which was OK but you can hear the TV in the room next door. The window wouldn’t close (thankfully it wasn’t cold), the bathroom door didn’t close properly and the bathroom sink tap is just odd. It looks the part but could do with some effort on the details as it isn’t exactly cheap. Not a bad stay at all but not sure I would rush back.

Our only comment would be that unfortunately there was no shaver point in the bathroom Other than that we think it was excellent

This is a lovely place
Behind the pub, there is a courtyard surrounded on two sides by purpose built tasteful living accommodation and on the third side the pub, and the final side by a very pleasant view of open countryside. In the centre is a lovely designed garden with some tables to enjoy a evening drink
The food was very good and the service excellent
Parking plentiful
The pub is in a very small village, with a pleasant old church worth visiting, but there is little else for a visitor to do on foot. The idea therefore for us was to use it as a base to explore the area by car and have a good rest with some good food
Would definitely like to return again to this very special place

An amazing place to stay.
The accommodation was perfect, well maintained, had everything you could need. The food was excellent, the atmosphere congenial and the decor for Christmas added the extra class.

It was all fine

My wife and I had a three day break. Our room was very nice & clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Perhaps the food could be served a bit faster, otherwise a perfect stay.

The evening restaurant seems to have no leadership, items are misidentified on menu.

We arrived in the pub and waited around 15 mins before we found anyone to check in. We then found out that the room we had booked was taken by someone else. This was really upsetting as we had particularly booked that room, as we had previously visited and was shown that room. One member of staff apologised. The food was nice but the room we were given was very tired, the blind was splattered in paint, there was only one bath robe and the fire did not work. We had an evening meal which was nice. The waitress forgot my husbands drink but other than that it was fine. We went for breakfast, the full English was nice but sadly there was no toast as they had run out of brown bread. On booking out I addressed these things with the member of staff. He reduced the bill by £20. Sadly after visiting many places this would be a place I would not return to or recommend

Excellent stay, I forgot how fantastic this place is! The garden room is probably the best hotel room I have ever stayed in. Grounds are beautiful and well taken care of and evening meal & breakfast very nice.

Lovey location, suites in the garden area quiet and relaxing. Restaurant was A1 both in choice and quality.

A charming location, very clean. The staff were very attentive and food good.

Absolutely beautiful place. We had a garden room, it was spotless clean, lovely large room with amazing views of the garden. Paulo and his team made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us. Felt very safe with the new Covid practice put in place.

Stayed here for one night last weekend with my wife and our 2 dogs. Room was fantastic and the dogs were well looked after with bowls for water/food and a bed provided for each.
On arrival we were informed that a reservation in the restaurant had been made for us that evening, which was a nice touch. Both of our meals were delicious.
The stay in the room was very comfortable and it felt very much like an expensive suite, with an open gas fire warming the living room area, a huge en-suite with bath and shower, and a very large and comfortable bed.
The one disappointment was one of our breakfasts the next day. My wife enjoyed her omelette; no problems there. I ordered the full Yorkshire breakfast, which was advertised with fried bread and baked beans. It wasn't until it was too late that I realised that neither of these items were on the plate, which was poor really. The rest of the breakfast was very nice.
This hasn't stopped us booking another 1-night stay here in a few weeks time, but I will be expecting better of the breakfast this time around please.

My husband and I came for a quick getaway and were blown away. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by the lovely staff. The garden suite with open fire was so cosy that we didn't want to leave. The food was also exceptional; I would definitely recommend eating in the restaurant. We can't wait to come back.

This was a perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms have amazing views in a beautiful village setting

Good pub/hotel. Accommodation is good but needs some maintenance. For Yorkshire the breakfast was average.

Very pleasing bar and dining room areas, gardens and outside areas beautiful .
Only downside was the room over the bar was noisy at times and the breakfast start time was too late.

What an amazing stay on Friday 6th September. An amazing check in with friendly staff and so welcoming, our bedroom above the bar was beautiful with everything you need. Sat outside in the early evening drinking great cocktails and watching the sun go down. Wonderful breakfast in the morning too. We're going back in December to try another night with a festive meal - recommend this to everyone.

Carpenters Arms, is a hidden jewel, surrounded by yorkshire countryside, fab views from restaurant , which serves amazing food. Staff are courteous, friendly, and very professional. We were welcomed with huge friendly smiles , from reception staff, bar staff, front of house & restaurant staff. Rooms are simply amazing!!!! & very Clean. This is our second visit. We will return. Only criticism for me, was lack of options on the dinner menu for vegetarian . We were here to celebrate our second wedding anniversary., on this occasion.

Rooms spacious and comfortable. Clean and well maintained. Nice breakfast with friendly staff in the restaurant. Food in the evening was good pub food but could have done with a little more choice. Well worth a visit and will definitely go back again when in the area.

Glorious location. The rooms were very clean with lovely a large bathroom, that had both bath and separate walk in shower. Fresh coffee facility in the rooms was a nice touch along with the provision of fresh milk in the fridge - always a bonus!
Nice bed with lots of pillow choice - restaurant dished up first class food and the breakfast was equally as nice.
I will definitely go back.

Great views, friendly staff who if there were issues tried to get them sorted as quickly as possible very nice rooms with character and style. Plenty of space in the rooms and good choice of breakfast even for celiac sufferers

An amazing place to stay and perfect for the edge of the moors. The drive up the back road over the moors is beautiful. The rooms and staff were great quiet and on the sunny calm weekend an amazing view from thw bedrooms. The rooms were spacious and clean ans perfectly looked after. Food was delicious. Definitely recommend it as a place to stay

Only a rather inattentive waitress in the restaurant stopped me giving this full marks. Everything else was splendid and I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay here.
