I had 16 of my friends stay here with me and it was perfect!! Walking to distance to everything downtown. Such a beautiful home and beautifully decorated! Couldn’t recommend enough!

From the very beginning at check in, on Wednesday, for the Darcy we experienced problems. The code to the front door worked, as in a green light indication, but it did not actually unlock the door to open. Maybe it had to do with tge lock part where a key could be inserted could be twisted around, not sure if that was actually the reason. We were given three different codes for three different doors on yhe home. Tthe second door's keypad didnt even light up; therefore, we had to go in and out the basement door whenever we left the house, extremely inconvenient since you had to walk in the dark up questionable stairs. I called Carl, the local contact's number given in the house information booklet at 8:32 am on Friday, to see if the problem could be fixed, but my call went straight to voice mail. Someone was always at the house on Thursaday so we were not so concerned about having someone come look at the front lock. Not to mention we were going to be gone Friday so that would have been the best time for someone to come and not disturb our stay. But he never answered nor did he ever reached out. When one books a vacation home they intend for it to feel like home, and base their choice from the pictures presented to them from the host. The house upon entry looked beautiful at first glance. But the musty smell was too much for a person who does not live with animals. The dishwasher had an unpleasant odor and leaked despite our not using it because of the smell. The bathroo

We loved so much about the property. The layout is awesome. The location is great. The vastness of the house works for large groups. The porch was incredible. The balconies were luxurious. We loved the available parking and more. The home itself was clean. And there was plenty of seating for our large family.
What we didn’t love was the understocked kitchen for simple things such as a colander. We did not love the really smelly trash cans literally right next to the front porch where we hung out every evening watching the deer with the family. There was also exposed insulation hanging down on the back porch which was sadly, our first view of the home which just started our stay as “iffy”. The biggest deal was the badly stained carpet and furnishings.
We also made a call for AC repair for the second floor unit which was not working. We were told someone would call the next day and no one ever did.
Overall we wanted to rate this place a 3.5 star. But the stained furnishings and lack of the returned repair call brought it down to a 2 star review overall. The potential this place has is off the chain.

The house was perfectly located and the size was great for our extended family getaway. Would definitely recommend!

The historic home itself.

The Darcy house was great for our group of 9. The house is only blocks from Bath House Row, shops and restaurants. Also not far from the race track and casino. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. There is one bedroom and bathroom on the entry level floor and three bedrooms and one bathroom on the second floor. The third level has a number of twin beds and bathroom. Although we didn't use any of the beds on the third floor we used the bathroom/shower. The basement level has one bedroom and bathroom which we did not use. This may help others when they are planning on where everyone will have access to a bed and bathroom on the same floor. When we travel back to Hot Springs we will definitely attempt to rent the Darcy house again.

We loved our stay at the Darcy. We were a group of 11 in town for an Oaklawn race track weekend and this house had all that we needed. Even down to sound machines in every room and amenities in the bathroom. It was clean and spacious. With plenty of parking in a downtown area. We will stay here again!
4.6
This house was great. The location from downtown was perfect. Comfortable beds and lots of place to space out with our large group.
4.6
The house has been remodeled gorgeously. Wish we had more time to stay and enjoy every nook and cranny! Perfect home for our family reunion.

This home was huge! Provided plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the stay. The driveway and parking is not ideal. The driveway is tight and not paved, it’s all broken and a huge incline!! It’s best to park on the street and unload your luggage!! There are a LOT of stairs! The kitchen is way smaller than the pictures make it seem but the rest of the house is much bigger than the pics lead you to think so that was good! The one thing that was misleading was one of the rooms with a Queen bed is down in a dark, cold, musty and secluded basement. It was perfect walking distance from the downtown area where you can shop and eat! Overall the home is beautiful, clean and spacious!! We all enjoyed the stay!!

We enjoyed our stay!

The house was perfect for our family to spend a few days together for Christmas. There was room to spread out. There were bedrooms for all couples and a fun bunk room for the kids. The kitchen is small but adequately stocked. The house is beautiful and we enjoyed our time there very much.
Be aware the kid's bunk room is on the top floor. It was further removed than we understood when booking. My wife (Mimi) ended up staying upstairs with our littles because of the staircase and being on a different floor than parents.
We could not find extra bedding. One of our grands got sick in the night. We had to strip the bed but couldn't find extras to replace it with. We ended up stripping an unused bed in another room to get him back to bed while washing dirty linens. It would have been nice to have had extra bedding in a closet. At least we couldn't find any.
It would have been nice to have had some patio furniture and a fire pit in the backyard. The backyard has a small grassy area with a large concrete parking area. The backyard parking is adequate for small vehicles.

This house was perfectly spaced out to house four different family groups for a weekend Christmas gathering! It was beautifully decorated and the perfect setting to sit around and visit and go out and play.
4.6
The home is very large and fit everyone for a family reunion. There were plenty of beds and the rooms are large. It is also within walking distance to town which was a huge perk. However, we encountered a broken oven, tiny roaches in one of the kitchens, wasps in one of the bedrooms and Wifi that was unusable for most of the trip. These issues were very frustrating, especially on a holiday weekend.
4.6
We celebrated Thanksgiving - great table - large enough to accommodate all of us - 10 people. Kitchen small - not really conducive to cooking for a large crowd. Basement apartment needs some work - smells musty. Stairs to basement are open - guests can see all of the extra fixtures owner has on hand. We had a great time, shopped, enjoyed our Thanksgiving Dinner - timing was a challenge with the kitchen space limitations, but we still had the typical Thanksgiving feast.

This home was every bit of space and hand picked furnishings that you get from the photos, plus so much added comfort amenities. There was nothing we didn't love about it. Every detail, with added views they aren't showing, plus a quick block away from town made this place perfect!

The Darcy was the perfect house for our Family that came to Hot Springs for my son’s wedding at Anthony Chapel. Vacasa communications and support was excellent.

We stayed at this property and the it's sister across the street. This was a perfect set up for our huge family.

Beautiful home, perfect for our family gathering to lay our Mom to rest. Lots of room!!
4.6
Loved that this home is on the National Register of historic homes and had so many interesting rooms.
4.6
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The general cleanliness was good, but there was a build up of dust on ceiling fans and vents.
There are a lot of stairs and the basement stairs are very steep.
The tubs have high sides and are a little difficult to get in for those who are not in great shape.
4.6
Very beautiful home. Large enough to accommodate our big family! We enjoyed the porch swings and how close we were to everything! Definitely would recommend!
4.6
We stayed for a large family gsthering and the homenwas beautiful andnwell kept. The parking wasnt the best, because the parking and gravel need repair. However, the home was beautiful. Each room was nicely furnished with large televisions. The garbage disposal didnt work, but we worked around it. I loved how all the tvs had youtune tv and netflix. The location wasnt the best, but it was a fun experience overall.
4.6
Everything was great. Clean and fresh feeling. Easy location to downtown and expo center (4 mins away. Quiet neighborhood. Will come back here next time we are in hot springs.
4.6
There is so much space in this home! Plenty of room for a large group or family. Walking distance to downtown and in a quiet area. Cleanliness could improve, but overall it was a very comfortable stay. The beds were clean and comfortable! Host communication wasn’t great at first, but once we checked in, communication improved and they were very accommodating. The heat was kind of a hit or miss. It’s a large older home, so just keep that in mind! Some of us were very hot and others were cold, depending what room we were in. This was not an issue for us though. We made it work! There were plenty of clean towels, blankets, and a sound machine in every room. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will be recommending the Darcy house to our friends and family!
4.6
Awesome home . Plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing. The kids loved the bed/beds room up at the top stairs every room was large and comfortable .
4.6
The location of this home is perfect for our yearly trip. It is within walking distance of the main drag with the bars and restaurants. It is only a short 20 minute drive to the village for us to get our golf in. We plan on staying here for many years to come. Plenty of room for 12 guys.
4.6
We had a great time! We absolutely loved the house and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the Hot Springs area.
4.6
We recently stayed at this home with a bunch of family. The size fit us perfectly. They have done a great job getting this home ready for new visitors. The apartment was not used by us (no air in the bedroom and some spiders) but the rest of the house was really nice. Perfect location to walk downtown!
4.6
We had 4 families come to celebrate their dad’s birthday. All had a good time. Great house for a multifamily gathering.
4.6
I'm giving the house a score of 2.5.
First, the house is a elegant old house which has been updated. I also would give it a 5 for location. If it had been cooler we could have walked to many of the top sites.
However as for livablity of the house I would give some items a 1. The shower situation was unaceptable in my opinion. The first floor bathroom has a shower in the tub which at first looked OK, but was terrible. The tub is exceptionally tall with a bottom below floor level plus glass shower doors making it close to impossible to get in. The second floor has a bathroom with a claw foot tub that has no handicaped bars or anything around it to hang on to. Many of our group even college age were afraid of falling. Many, used the shower on the third floor to keep from falling. The third floor shower is even smaller than a cruise ship shower! You can not raise both arms to wash your hair because the shower is so narrow. We didn't use the basement since it was too hot and there was an insect infestation..
The kitchen was too small. It was difficult to have even three people trying to prepare food in the refrigerator, stove, to sink area. The kitchen had two tall stools and a short bench. So either two could sit on a stool leaning way over to the counter or hold their food on a bench, or go to the diningroom.
The diningroom had chairs for our group of 10, but no extra chairs for any larger group anywhere in the house.
The first floor bedroom was unacceptable. The bed was a tall double with bent down egdes and difficult not to fall out of it. The parlor doors didn't close tight leaving a foot gap.
The livingroom and adjacent room had a total of 11 places to sit. OK for our 10 that came.
There was a steep broken cement driveway to a broken cement slab behind the house. There were no outside chairs or play area. We felt safer parking our cars in front under a street light with the porch light on.
While we were there the house had an infestation of small flying bugs. The maintanance person brought us two small apple cider containers and a can of spray. He thought maybe they were nates or baby flies. I killed 10 making our bed one day, always saw about 10 by our sink everyday, plus the bathroom window and the kitchen windows had from 10 to 20 around them. The bugs were thru out the house. One electic circuit tripped taking out the wifi and lights in one bedroom several times. We learned how to flip it back.
4.6
The house was even more that it looked in pictures! Absolutely gorgeous. Great location! Comfortable for guests and plenty of room to still have privacy.
The apartment is a work in progress. There was only a window unit in the living room so it was pretty warm down there, and the bed wasn’t comfortable. However, no one upstairs complained about a thing! Would stay there again!

Wonderful experience! Had a great family weekend. Shopping downtown was convenient, ate at The Pancake House, Porterhouse, Bones and the Track Kitchen along with spending a day at Oaklawn. House was even better than expected!!!
4.6
The house met our needs very well and we enjoyed the decor along with the comfy furniture. I wish we had realized that the four rooms on the second floor shared one bathroom, but it turned out to not be an issue like we thought it might be when we first arrived. The kitchen was missing hot pads and a colander, but otherwise very well stocked. The location was great-easy walking distance to downtown and a beautiful walking/jogging trail and a quick drive to the Alligator Farm and Garvan Gardens. Kids really loved the top floor bunk room!! Would stay here again for sure!
4.6
We enjoyed our stay at this property and the house was pretty convenient for our sized group. Since it was an older home, there was only 1 bathroom per floor, so it took us awhile to get ready. The location was perfect and we walked to everything to explore the historic downtown. The property manager was very prompt on responding to my questions and checked in on us during our stay. Overall we really enjoyed our time there and the house is so unique and good for decent sized families or multiple families!
