We stayed in a Chalet at Solway holiday park, I was pleasantly surprised how modernised and spacious the chalets were, was a lovely home for the weekend, we had a hot tub which didn’t seem to have any chemicals in to keep the water clean so by day 3, the water was green but the kids loved it until then.
On sight swimming was poorly managed, there is no booking system for swimming and no time limit on how long you can swim for so everytime we tried to go, it was full and the waiting list was a page long, people where even sitting outside waiting for people to get out of the pool so they could go in, would be much better with a booking system and time slots.
Activities onsite we found a little overpriced, laser tag is £20 per child for 1hr, body Zorbing £10 for 30mins, this was literally a body zorbing suit and running around the AstroTurf pitch for 30mins taking it in turns as took bookings for 8 children and only had 6 suits.
The Dinocarts were £20 for 4 with a £20 deposit, you get 1 hour! There wasn’t an on-site shop as yet, I think it’s in the process however this should have taken priority in my opinion, you get supplied with 1 toilet roll per stay and they don’t give anymore out (we asked) the nearest shop is 5-10mins drive so we needed to travel to buy more. We did so a full shop once arriving, obviously forgetting the toilet roll but the nearest supermarket is Lidl which was 25mins drive from the park so be prepared and take things with you. No cash machine either
