Perfect little house, well decorated and clean. Perfectly equipped for a short break by the sea.
Upstairs shower too low for tall people! Parking is slightly problematic but multi-storey is convenient - about £50 for 5 days.

The cottage is exactly like the photos, beautifully decorated in a simple but cosy style. Everything was clean and fresh with plenty of cleaning supplies and spares incase we needed them. The bottle of Prosecco and box of biscuits was a lovely touch and much appreciated!
The cottage is located very close to the amenities and the beach.
The bedrooms are generously sized with comfy beds and plenty of storage. The kids bedroom has a very cute desk with colouring pencils, a stocked toy box and a selection of books. You can comfortably sleep 7 in the beds with room for a travel cot too (although would be a squeeze to all sit downstairs both in the lounge and round the dining table, our 5 were fine)
The kitchen is small but well stocked with good quality glassware, crockery and utensils. We didn’t cook during our stay but it seemed like we’d be able to easily with what was provided.
The TV comes equipped with Netflix (although I think signed into a past guests account- I hope ‘Davy’ likes Mr Bean’s Holiday as much as my children!) and the WiFi is strong even with all our devices going.
We had an issue on our second night and had to ring Ralph who helped resolve it as quickly as he could from a distance despite the late hour!
Hastings beach is pebbley but lovely, we visited both Eastbourne and Camber Sands during our stay which are just over 30 mins drive away and well worth the trip. Camber Sands in particular is stunning and a lovely day out.
I wish we could pick this cottage up and bring it home, it really is lovely.
The showers were really quite poor, the upstairs is more suited to washing hair whilst in the bath, you can’t use it as a normal shower without soaking the floor. The downstairs shower went from freezing to boiling and back again without an awful lot in between. Not pleasant when you’re in it and incredibly awkward when trying to rinse off a reluctant toddler after a day at the beach!
Location wise I have to be honest and say I was a little nervous when we pulled up. I think there’s a reason that there’s no external photos of this property! The inside really doesn’t match the outside and although a great location for the amenities and the beach the area does leave a little to be desired.
Finally, our issue on the second night was with the smart lock on the front door. When we returned at gone 10pm we couldn’t get the smart lock to work. Several phone calls, a hunt for a hidden emergency battery, a drive to find a shop selling D batteries at 10.45 on a Sunday night and around an hour later we managed to get in. It turns out that the case on the back of the door is loose which allows the batteries to come loose and prevents the lock from working. It has tape on it which suggests it’s been an issue before which could really do with rectifying properly. Ralph was as helpful as he could’ve been from a distance and was ready to offer alternative accommodation if needed so I can’t fault his dealing with it but it seems to be quite a simple fix to avoid this happening again in future.

The cottage was absolutely gorgeous. Everything you could need for a stay by the seaside. The beds were really comfy, I slept like a log all three nights we were there. I would even go as far to say best night sleep I've had in a while. All the amenities including tv with Netflix, amazon prime, the whole shebang, were brilliant. Also, the kids bedroom with all the toys and books was so refreshing. So much for the kids to play with and enjoy, I also love that you have stairs gates as I have a one year old son who loves climbing up stairs. Hosts communicated very well and we had a lovely stay for a really good price, will definitely be booking again.
The only downside is the parking situation but as discussed with the hosts on check in, its the council that is not providing permits for the their guests however they are in the midst of arranging private parking for their guests. We had to park around the corner as that was free from 6pm to 9am and then move the cars to the Morrisons car park from 9am to 6pm and pay £2.50 for the day through the ring go app. That worked for us but it was a faff, especially when it was raining.

As a family of four, this was the perfect acommodation for us. Nice, safe and clean. The kids enjoyed the boardgames and books available, and the short walk to Pelham beach which was lovely especially at low tide. The small kitchen was simple but worked fine for cooking breakfast or small meals. We had an overall very positive experience.

i love the property. it femt like a home aWay from home. this was my first time in hastings and j was nervous. we brought our little brother to boarding school in hastings ti we wanted somewhere convinient incase he wanted something. its a 5 minutes walk from the shopping centere. the tv has netflix so i was able to catch up on my shows. the wifi is strong. overall amazing
ths floors were not swept ( but the house wasnt dirty anyways)
only one bathroom upstairs so if you’re not in the master bedroom, you have to come downstairs to use bathroom (i come from a place where every room has its own private bathroom) so this was a little but of inconvinience.
