About this cabin rental
Come stay at our peaceful, newly renovated cabin, located on the outskirts of Brunswick, close to Harpswell ! This log cabin is situated on 5 acres of land, near the ocean, a perfect retreat ! Recently renovated cabin & as an interior designer, I'm passionate about sustainability and making spaces as eco friendly as possible.
If you are looking for a cozy, peaceful retreat, the Lawless Log Cabin is the place!
The space
We really care about sustainability and being eco friendly. During the renovation, we tried to be as sustainable as possible. (We are not perfect, but we always try to do our best!) Another aspect is using non toxic products and finishes in the space. All of the bedding is Oeko tex certified, along with the mattresses and fabrics in the home. Any stains and paints have no VOC's, too. We sourced a lot of vintage, small business, and eco friendly shops for the furniture and decor.
It sits on 5 acres of land in a quaint part of the town. It's a 10 minute drive into downtown. We are right on the water, (just a slight view and we don't currently have available access, but we are working on it!)
When you walk into the cabin, there is an open living room, dining room and kitchen. The cabin is just under 1200 sq/ft. I did some very quick floor plans to show the basic layout of the space.
We have two bedrooms and a loft. One bedroom has a queen bed and this is where the desk/workspace is. The other bedroom has a full bed. The loft upstairs is very large and has two queen beds, along with a reading nook.
There is one full bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo.
This is a perfect location for a home base while exploring neighboring towns such as Harpswell, Bath, Wiscasset, Phippsburg, Boothbay, Freeport (home of the famous LL Bean and many outlet shops, as well as Portland, and only a 10 minute drive to Bowdoin College. Each coastal town has trails, small and large beaches, fine shops, great restaurants, music theatre, movies, and even a Botanical Garden ! There is so much to explore in this area, there's sure to be something for everyone ! The cabin is also an inviting couples getaway !
The Lawless Log Cabin is proudly managed by Coastal Connections Property Mgmt, Harpswell.
Guest access
The first floor and loft.
Other things to note
While the cabin property is near the ocean, we haven't made full access down to the water just yet. But, we are working on it! There isn't a view of the ocean from the cabin, but if you walk through the property, you can catch a small view through the trees. It's not much, but it's still a pretty area. You can see the photos on the listings of the property/view.
We also fully renovated the entire inside of the home. We are working on the exterior, but it's still a work in progress ! We think it's still a cute little log cabin on the outside!!
While we absolutely love animals, we are not having pets at this time. You can imagine that after the long months of renovations, we are being a bit more cautious about our home. You may see photos of an adorable cattle dog/Aussie, but that is our pup, Kona.

The 4 of us (mom and adult daughters) had a lovely time at the cabin- we appreciated the elegant simplicity of the property- lots of thoughtful details but so clean and uncluttered and well-lit. Thank you for a great trip!
