Amazing location, needs more organisation though
The setting is stunning
The room was far too hot and an antiquated aircon unit was all that was available. It didn't actually cool the room so we were too hot day and night. For the price, we would have expected at least a buffet breakfast but there was nothing, we had to go to the restaurant and buy something each morning. Also, at 3.50am the fire alarm went off. All guests got out and stood waiting for a staff member/fire warden to arrive. That took another 15 mins. Obviously no fire drills are run because the response was dangerously inadequate. We had our dog with us and had to pay a daily rate. A general comment that hotels who charge for the pet are simply profiteering from it. We brought the dog's bed, his food, water, bowls, everything and he makes zero mess. I would hope that hotels etc would stop doing this.

Good and bad , staff could do with training but hotel does have great potential
Reception staff were good although told me that I had booked 2 rooms and this was not the case . Wou;d be a good idea if they gave you times of restaurant opening hours when you booked in . Room as a decent size . Restaurant had lovely views .
The room was so hot visited in June . there was a free standing air conditioning unit in the room although this was not efficient partly because of all the dust/ fluff on the filters . I managed to clean a lot of fluff out but this is something that should be done in the winter months prior to opening not by a guest ! The waiter in the restaurant was lovely but the female did not speak nicely to the guests . I got told off for not waiting at the podium and yet there was no one else in the restaurant . Breakfast of Scrambled eggs was ok but requested with mushrooms and there was one 1 mushroom and my plate was filled up with 6 half slices of toast . She told a group of elderly people they were too late for dinner by 2 mins ! and then told them off for sitting in the wrong area . She needs some training for sure ! On my last day breakfast had about 10 tables and they could not cope.

good hotel and good location, would stay here again. they could do better with food quality etc.
room was great, comfy and clean. there were coffee pods but no machine to put them in? We didn't have breakfast, but had an evening meal. service was prompt and friendly in the restaurant, but the food mediocre to be honest which is reflected in the overall score
food quality coffee machine in room

A very disappointing experience...I will not go back!
The hotel is well built and has good views.
A terrible experience. We're told you did not need to book restaurant in the evening and recommended by staff to eat at 8pm when would be quieter. However when we went to eat was told there were no tables left and bookings had been taken. No manager on dire to resolve bisque. No reception staff. Waited 20 minutes at the bar for a drink..not enough staff. Tables in bar not cleared...our glasses from 7pm still there at 10pm. Left message for manage to contact me to discuss...no contact. This is a family dominated hotel....not made clear in hotel description and reviews.

Beautiful location, hotel was terrible.
The scenery was beautiful.
Our room was not cleaned, not tided, beds not maid, not replenished, bins not emptied, no clean towels on our 4 day stay at hotel. There was no coffee during our stay in the whole hotel. There was lots of things not in stock at bars. Waiting for drinks in the restaurant was terrible, had to ask for toilet paper 3 times and never got it. Had to take it from a maids cart. The public toilets in the hotel were thilthy. Our room looked out to septic tanks and a loading bay, with rubbish lying around. Steel barrels being banged about in loading area outside our room in the early hours which was a nightmare. Overall stay was terrible. There is obviously serious staffing issues, such and expensive short stay for an awful experience.

Had a wonderful time here and would revisit.
The whole experience was very good. Had food in the restaurant on the evening which was also excellent. The views were spectacular. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.
It would be lovely to have a spa centre rather than the jacuzzi being in the main pool. Somewhere to relax.

Other than the issue with the breakfast price, Drimsynie is a fabulous place in a stunning location.
The rooms are lovely. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was good.
The only issue we had, which would make me seriously think about not using booking.com again, was that when we booked it said that breakfast was available and that we could pay at the property for a price of £9.95. We assumed that meant for £9.95 per head we would be able to have whatever we wanted for breakfast (the same as if it had been included in the price). When we arrived for breakfast we explained that that was what our booking had said and the waiter said we could have anything we wanted. However, it later turned out we were supposed to pay full price. This is very misleading on the behalf of Booking.com and disappointing that despite enquiring before we ordered that we were then misled/misinformed by a member of Drimsynie staff. He did take 25% off, however that was still more than we were expecting to pay.

Great location with amazing scenery
Location, cleanliness, service all excellent
Reception definitely understaffed and under pressure to deal with busy check in times.
