Hotel Gran Cristal-worth a return visit

The location was very central-on Entre Rios Street,close to many of the sights. My room was adequate in size and was serviced daily.Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly.In this regard I want to mention Carlos and Rodrigo.I would be happy to stay there again.

The breakfast is ok

The hotel is very old, need renovation. They charged me US$115 and my friends booked 1 day before me paying US$40. What a ripped off! Eventually 4 weeks before my vacation, they lowered toUS$94. I asked the Reception why and he said it is due to booking time. If I charged US$40/night, won't complain, you pay what you get, but onto US$94.

Not the best experience

The location is perfect; around the corner starts the city centre that is really nice. We were allowed to leave our bags after checking out. Breakfast is simple but okay.

The room we booked was not available, we get another (smaller) room for the same amount. Lady in the evening at check-in (after a long journey with children) grumpy and not customer-friendly (gentleman who was there in the morning was!). Rooms and hotel dirty and dated: mould in bathroom, dirty carpets in room.

Excellent location with a comfortable room

The room was large,clean and comfortable.Sleep quality was excellent.A very good breakfast was served each morning and the location was perfect-close to Plaza de Mayo.

The staff were pleasant enough but could have been more friendly...They were somewhat distant.

Excellent location and welcoming professional reception team.

The two best things about this hotel were the reception and breakfast staff, and the location. The reception team were welcoming, helpful and professional. The location was excellent, it really was handy to walk anywhere such as the local attractions, shops, supermarket, bars and restaurants. You can even walk to the museums near the Sarmiento park, nothing is too far away. Air con was the best feature in the room, which was definitely needed at this time of year. The tv was also a plus.

Overall, it was not the best value for money out of hotels that I have stayed in. The room was fair, and did have a tv and air con, but could have had features like a kettle or small fridge etc, for the price paid. Again, with the breakfast, it was ok, but there could have been just a little more variance or additions. The wi fi signal can be stronger in some rooms than others, so that is something that should be looked into by the hotel considering the amount of reviews on here that remarked about poor wi fi or rated it low. So none of these are major issues, just minor adjustments depending on what you are expecting and how you feel about your value for money.
