Other things to note
Water:
Fresh water is scarce and expensive on Eleuthera, so take this into consideration and be very conservative while showering, washing dishes, etc. You will notice that the water pressure may be a lot lower than what you are typically used to. Many homes either have a cistern and/or an underground water storage tank where they have water shipped in. Some of the locals use this water for cooking, ice and a few even drink it, but it is not recommended for foreigners. PLEASE DO NOT DRINK THE TAP WATER- you will need to purchase drinking water. At Lutra Pure it is only $2 per gallon.
Electricity:
The Bahamas uses the same 110-120 volt outlets as the U.S. and Canada, so if you are coming from North America you do not need an adapter. Electricity on the islands is typically diesel generated and very expensive. Please remember to turn off the lights when you are not using them, and only use the AC when you are present and absolutely need it. It is very common to have intermittent power outages on the island so do not be surprised if you experience one or more power outages during your vacation. It usually only lasts a few minutes. This is just part of your Out Island vacation adventure.
Currency:
The Bahamian dollar ($B) is equal to the U.S. dollar and Bahamian and U.S cash are used interchangeably. There are a few banks with ATM’s on the island where you can withdrawal cash. The ATM you can use depends on the type of card your origin country. Most establishments (grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc.) only accept cash. Bring cash!
Driving:
The speed limit is 35-45 on the highway and 15 in the settlements. The Bahamas follow British driving rules so remember to DRIVE ON THE LEFT!! The roads generally do not have a shoulder and do not have lines painted on them. Due to the climate in the Bahamas the roads break down rather quickly so they may seem a lot rougher than what you are used to. Most people are not comfortable going 45mph on these skinny island roads. Be aware of the locals who tend to drive faster than the speed limit and are occasionally known to pass on blind corners. If you find someone behind you who wants to drive faster than you, please pull over to let them pass as soon as you safely can.

Great property. Awesome deck and views. Snorkeling was tremendous. Saw stingray, turtle and plenty of fish while snorkeling. Nice and centrally located. House was nice and clean. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

As much as the house has a lot of charm, and relaxing view, its owner and the associated services are awful.
The local team is really rude and unprofessional. we dared to ask for bed linen because the duvets don't have duvet covers neither pillows covers and smell of sweat, she almost threw them in our faces.
General hygiene and cleaning is questionable. We have all been bitten, in the beds (bed bugs) but also in the sofa and outside, there are fleas and bugs everywhere.
Mices and cockroaches are also part of the party and not be willing to clean the kitchen top free of mice droppings that are flagrant is scandalous.
The swimming pool is unsecured. And when we raise issues we got insulted.
Fortunately we are philosophers and have been able to appreciate the beauty of this island.
Avoid this house and the team like pest, you can only find better as many listings are available.
As for the owner in many years using the service I never had such a bad experience.
I booked his listings in advance and he constantly harassed me to book the car as well.
Which I did to please him and for him to stop bothering me however at the end of our stay he continued with his bullying techniques by harassing us to return an airport car earlier than the rental agreement aligned with our flights.
He is proud to advertise it as a professional listing run as a “business” but the basics are not there especially letting us leave our luggage before the checking time which many accommodate.

Rainbow Charm exceeded all expectations. The property is immaculate in every way. The brand new pool and deck-WOW! Easy to swim from the concrete area right on the ocean’s shore. The view of the water is stellar from every room. Communication with the owner/manager was easy and convenient.

Rainbow charm delivered more than we expected. Quiet location, plenty of amenities,a cool local dog ( named Joker who was elected mayor of rainbow bay) everything luxury you can think of. It is the perfect place for someone who is hooking up with a cruiser which we were. When the weather was sketchy he could find protection in Hatchet Bay. When it was nice, he anchored right off our little dock. Absolutely the perfect fit. Communication with host and caretaker were excellent. You can not go wrong booking a Rainbow Charm vacation 👍

Unfortunately, most of our stay was cut short due to delays which turned into cancelation(s) with Silver Airlines. The day/night that we spent at Rainbow Charm was wonderful!!! The home is beautiful but also feels very warm and comfy. The homeowner was exceptionally helpful throughout our trip. We plan to return in the future!

This was out first time to Eleuthera. We enjoyed Rainbow Charm so much that we have made reservations to stay there again. We loved the gorgeous view of the beautiful blue water and the access to the water (literally steps from the house) to snorkel, paddle board, kayak and fish. We also spent plenty of time on the hammocks.
Rainbow Charm is comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen is equipped with quality appliances and gadgets. We cooked most of our meals there and appreciated the assortment of spices and other culinary basics.
Whether you are seeking leisure time or fun water activities Rainbow Charm has got you covered.
Oh, one more thing...If you plan to fly on Silver Airways PLEASE read reviews about Silver Airways prior to booking your tickets.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rainbow Charm. The house has obviously been recently updated and is very well furnished / equipped, especially in terms of outdoor items (kayaks, paddleboards, snorkel sets, bikes, etc.), which is definitely a bonus compared to most rentals. We especially loved the hammocks and covered area at water's edge.
One of the biggest bonuses was the ability to rent a car along with the property, and have it waiting for us at the airport.
A great property in a beautiful spot on the island - I would definitely recommend Rainbow Charm to anyone looking at a vacation on Eleuthera.

House was great. Very clean, new modern appliances, AC excellent, comfortable beds, great kitchen, huge decks, Fabulous view. Enjoyed swimming off the dock, but no coral that we found, very leisurely 15 min bike ride to Rainbow beach which was beautiful with tables and shade and was shallow at the beach so great for small kids. World class and deserted James Pt Beach only a 10 min drive. Enjoyed eating on the beach at Mel’s 5-6 min drive, and Delfish next door.

Our team members stayed at this home sitting on the water's edge, it was an absolutely, breathtaking view to see early morning, sunsets were the same, the amenities which we did not have much time to enjoy was plentiful.
Host was very attentive and responsive.
We would stay here again!
