Masseria Tarsia Incuria, set in the Apulian countryside between the typical little towns of Conversano and Rutigliano, is a mass of history surrounded by the typical colours that only this area can offer: the brown of the earth joins the blue of the sky, the fields surrounding the structure become many-coloured carpets of flowers. The construction of Masseria Tarsia Incuria dates back to the 18th century and, according to an old legend, the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Santo Stefano stopped here for shelter during the transfer of the relics of the Saint from Monopoli to Putignano in 1365. The old ruins were then expanded over time until they became the current splendid stone structure, reached along a beautiful driveway of centuries-old pine trees. On the ground floor is an elegant living room with stone barrel vaults, prestigious furnishings. On the first floor the bedrooms offer comfort and privacy; the suites are ideal for families with children and have a beautiful view over the Conversano countryside through the large windows. The kitchenette on the mezzanine floor with its large stone fireplace, very close to the sleeping area, is ideal for preparing breakfast. The first floor also leads to the solarium equipped with sofas and deck chairs, with a splendid view of the surrounding colourful countryside and, on clear days, you can also see the sea. Masseria Tarsia Incuria is immersed in the green countryside of Conversano. The park next to the swimming pool is an oasis of peace with luxuriant vegetation, where you can spend the hot summer days thanks to the tall trees that ensure coolness. The barbecue and the dining area, equipped with tables and chairs, give you the possibility of organising enjoyable poolside dinners.
MASSERIA TARSIA INCURIA HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO A CHECK-UP BY A TECHNICAL RESPONSIBLE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY OF THE DESCRIPTION, ACCESSORIES LISTED ON THIS PAGE AND THEIR PRESENT STATE OF OPERATION/MAINTENANCE, TO GUARANTEE QUALITY, CLEANLINESS AND COMFORTS TO ALL CLIENTS WHO WILL STAY HERE.
Interior:
The entrance on the ground floor leads into a large hallway/living room connected to the kitchen, two bathrooms with shower (one for the disabled) and the main living room consisting of a sitting area with sofas and fireplace. The living room has direct access to the pool area via French windows. From the kitchen a spiral staircase leads up to the mezzanine floor with a kitchenette, equipped for preparing breakfast, and a washing machine. The internal staircase leads to the first floor with the bedrooms distributed around a large hallway: a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi tub, a twin bedroom (with joinable beds) served by a bathroom with shower, and two suites, each with double bed, sofa bed (with two single beds) and ensuite bathroom, one with open tub and one with shower.
Park:
The park, enclosed by dry stone walls, is full of centuries-old trees with numerous areas set up for guests to rest and enjoy the coolness during the hot summer days. The area in front of the entrance to the house is equipped with a gazebo and table, surrounded by colourful plants and flowers, while the entrance itself is framed by a splendid vine-covered canopy under which another rustic outdoor dining area has been set up with wooden chairs and a table. A picturesque arch adorned with vines and flowers leads to the pool area, across a small stone-paved courtyard, and here, on a manicured lawn surrounded by tall old trees, is an area with barbecue and table set up for dining. A small orange grove around the pool releases a scent of orange blossoms during the flowering phase. Outside the automatic access gate to the property is a parking area.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool is located in the most discreet area of the property and can be quickly reached down three steps from the living room or under the stone arch from the central courtyard of the house. Rectangular and measuring 5 x 10 m with the depth varying from 0.80 to 1.50 m, it is lined in PVC with a stone-paved border and has steps in one corner for access to the water and spotlights for evening lighting. Surrounded by a small orange grove, the pool area is equipped with sunbeds, a table with chairs, an outdoor hot-water shower and a barbecue area.
