The room could have been cleaner

Breakfast was brilliant, extended family visit Barmouth annually renting a large house, they there made welcome when they joined me on the second morning. ( 8 served, a large table created, all the meal contents pre ordered and served correctly after asking if we where ready to have the hot items )
Parking was an issue, but just meant I had to pay in the car park opposite. Several free street places on the Sunday, within 30 yards. Just a case of first come, first parked. No restrictions so I was able to leave my car close by for the duration of the stay.

The first room went in bed broken but the staff sorted it out for us and we had sea viwe brilliant people

The room was quiet. The price was OK for what we got. Had we paid full price we would not have been at all happy.
There was very little cold water pressure. As a result the toilet cistern took an age to fill up. You could only get very hot water out of the shower and the sink tap. There was no bath mat or hand towels, reception was told about the lack of towels but nothing was done. The shower screen was broken and would not close. The soap dispenser in the shower did not dispense. I did not like having to order breakfast when booking in the night before and 8.30am for breakfast is a bit late if you are planning to go out for the day.

The location and view from room were good.
The room we originally booked was a family room (1x double bed 1x single bed) we were told that that room was under maintenance and were told we had been given an upgraded room, the room we were put in had 2 single beds pushed together and a fold out single bed was put in there. The room was NOT CLEAN and not as shown in the photographs, there was black mould on the silicone on the windows, dirty tiles in the bathroom, bottom of the toilet was dirty and the shower mat was covered in black mould. The paint was peeling off of the walls and the window did not shut properly (the windows handle fell off when attempting to shut the window) this left a draft coming through the room all night. When we raised these issues with the staff all the did was apologise and send someone up to the room to “clean” the mould off the silicone on the window, they took the mouldy bath mat away and said they would replace it and never did and said the only thing they can do about the window was tape it up. (Suggesting my self, my husband and our 3 year old daughter sleep in a mouldy room with no ventilation?) they did not offer to move us to another room and left us to stay in a mouldy room for the rest of our stay.
Unacceptable living conditions, for £115 a night you would at least expect a clean room to stay in.

I paid £50 for a night stay last minute, perfect location right opposite the beach and a 5 min walk to town. Little let down on our room the bar and restaurant was closed on our visit due to apparent kitchen refurbishment but it looked very modern and well decorated I wish the rooms had as much effort put in, considering it has a 7.2 on hygiene rating i was disappointed as there was toothpaste splatter on the taps and the carpets were very stained but you get what you pay for. the staff were super friendly especially the young blonde lady working on the desk also there is no on sight parking and very limited road parking

Very friendly staff, an issue with the toilet flush was sorted promptly, very dog-friendly, superb location overlooking the beach, spacious room, very comfy beds, will definitely stay here again!
There is nothing to dislike. It's an older property so it has more character than ultra-modern hotels.

Clean. Close to seafront and town. Staff friendly. Lots of tea and coffee and biscuits left in rooom
The plumbing pipes were SO loud during the night and basically kept us awake most of the night. Heating either needs turning off or they need to get a plumber in ASAP.
Shower wasn’t up to much. Turn it on and little water comes through but bath tap is on
The hotel is old and furniture is old but that not really an issue
Beds could do with upgrading, springs sticking into you

Great value
It was a little too warm, and the pillows were soft. I wouldn't complain, though.

Very polite staff, had no issue to change our room due to someone being a bit loud in a room below us. The room didn't cost much, it was money-worth. The location is perfect, just right next to the beach.
Rooms could do some refurbishment. Wouldn't mind paying more if the rooms were modernised.

Location is good
Lift wasn't working which was v bad for my parents who were given room on 3rd floor with really steep stairs. Also, the room was in loft with restricted height.

Very little
Room 38 facilities were terribly basic, outdated decor and lack of attention to detail were woeful; towel rail collapsed, wash basin tap was loose and wobbled, mismatched furniture stuffed into too small a space, broken handles on drawers and entrance door, one single hanger in wardrobe; no blinds on dreadful view out of window overlooking back of hotel with a skip in the carpark, inadequate curtains falling off the rails; no mirror of any kind, scorching radiator with no way of turning the heat down without burning your fingers; no telephone in the room to be able to call Reception to complain; lift out of order for weekend when hotel was fully booked; very narrow, steep stairs up to 2nd floor Room, so really awkward to carry cases upstairs; no exterior signage to guide guests to Reception; front door difficult to open. I wanted to upgrade to a better room but was told no other room was available as they were fully booked. I sat in Room 38 for about 20 minutes, made a cup of tea (no saucer for teacup) , quickly got really dispirited and depressed having to look at the toilet door, remembered that my own bedroom at home is so stylish and with a beautiful view of my garden... so I decided to drive straight back home and never mind the cost. I do hope that the £140 is spent wisely by the Sandbanks Hotel and that they get a professional hospitality interior stylist in to redecorate and show them where they're going wrong. Well, you asked...

Conveniently located a few mins from the train station and beautiful view of the water.
Wonderful staff! Friendly and helpful
No air conditioning in the room, water in sink and shower was way too hot but these were compensated by the friendly staff.

Very comfortable bed
Breakfast timings far too late. Breakfast should include cereal etc. as a matter of course, not just as an alternative to the cooked offer.
10.0
Bright enough to know where it was when in town or in the beach which made it easier to navigate back. It was equipped with all you needed and we made use of the bar. The room was presentable, clean and all that you would expect like towels and endless
supplies of milk, coffee, tea and sugar. Views from the restaurant are amazing !
lacks a pool table and I know that is not essential but I feel
that would really set the mark.
