About this house rental
Summary:
Look no further, if you are looking to enjoy a San Diego beachfront experience that will keep you coming back year over year, at a price that won't break the bank.
Our house is located directly across from the historic Imperial Beach Pier (less than 100 feet to a sandy beach that goes on for miles), one of only three public piers in all of San Diego county. Its three stories tall, and has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, and a 2 car garage.
The Space:
The garage is on the ground level (obviously), and is stocked with all sorts of awesome beach toys so you don't have to bring your own, including wavestorm surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, and even a cooler so you can go relax on the beach and not have to worry about transporting your own toys, just enjoying your vacation, yet still have space to park your car in a secure garage less than 50 feet from the pier. Fast EV car charging with brand new Tesla charger gets you up to 42/miles per hour.
This house is all about location. Not only is it in a perfect spot to walk to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and get some drinks and tacos at Mike Hess Brewery, but 10 minutes by car (15-20 min by bike) to the famous Hotel Del Coronado, and less than 20 miles from, the San Diego Airport, Seaport Village, Little Italy, the Gaslamp, Petco Park, the San Diego Convention Center (home of ComicCon), and our world famous Zoo.
We've tried super hard to not only pick the best location but furnish the house in a manner that suits it's awesome location, with hybrid memory foam mattresses, upgraded GE Monogram appliances in the kitchen, new LG 4K HD LED TV's w/Cox Contour Ultimate HD package, all sports channels, HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, & Starz in the (65") living room, (55") master bedroom, (55") bedroom 1, (55") bedroom 2, a custom couch in the living room, a BBQ on the patio, blazing fast Gigablast internet up to 1 Gbps download speeds, high end toiletries, non-scarring toilet paper ;), and even keyless entry to the house, so you don't have to worry about losing the key in the sand, when you are taking your afternoon nap in the sun.
The Neighborhood:
The center of downtown Imperial Beach, steps to the pier, restaurants, hotels, surf shops, and award winning Coronado & Hess Brewing.
Getting Around:
There is parking in the garage, and plentiful street parking. A car isn't necessary, due to the proximity to downtown Uber is affordable, and most of your other needs are in under a 5 minute walk from the house.
Other Things to Note:
The house is also as kid friendly as possible, with two adult rooms with a King and Queen, and in the third room, double sized bunk beds (with pull out twin), allowing 5 kids to sleep in one room, perfect if you want to bring two families together for a great beachfront vacation. The bunk beds will support adults as well (top bunk 300 pound limit), so if you have a bunch of buddies looking for a surf weekend, we can make sure you have a great time too. Additional queen sized air mattresses are available in the middle bedroom's closet, to provide even additional sleeping if you have a large party, space to set them up is limited. There is also a full size futon in the foyer.
There is a playground located a couple blocks away at Reama Park, which is located at the corner of Elder Ave. & Second St.
Please check with local lifeguards about ocean water conditions. The beach is always open but there have been some recent water quality issues which is currently being worked on.
Refund Policy: All payment will be refunded minus the credit card processing fee %. All cancelations must be made 30 days before check-in date for full refund.

The house was great. Communication with prooerty management was good. However the neighborhood is really tight. Parking is tight! The neighbors were extremely loud all hours of the night which made it impossible to get sleep. I wanted the house because it was close to the beach as thay was our plans for the weekend. The beach however was closed due to pollution in the waters and had been for over a year. So do your research before you go to see if the beach is even open before you decide to stay. We had to drive to a beach 40 mins away which defeated the whole purpose of getting this house! Again the house was perfect along with communication! It was clean! Driveway and parking is tight though. If you have small cars or small suvs it would be ok. Definitely not for bigger vehichles!

Worked well for us. Fun place.

The space worked out really well for 6 adults and 3 children (3-7). The stairs were a workout but who doesn’t need that? The pier was very close as were shops. It was very relaxing and lovely.

We had the best time! There was delicious food walking distance to the house, our favorites being Brigantine and Mike Hess Brewing for tacos!!! The house was perfect for our family of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). I would highly recommend staying here. There's delicious ice cream across the street from the house. We had a great view of the beach from the house.

This property has a beautiful interior including floors, kitchen, and bathrooms. The home is very well outfitted including towels, beach gear and kitchen utensils and appliances which made it a great place to stay with our family. Beds were comfortable. I’d love to see an upgraded shower head in the master bath, but that’s really the only suggestion I have for the owners. Lots of steps so if you have older people with you, just keep that in mind. Otherwise we would definitely stay here again. Very convenient to restaurants, coffee shops, beach and a short drive to Coronado.

Super clean, great condition. Everything was as shown in the pictures. Host was quick to communicate and helpful. The house had everything we needed! Steps away from the beach and pier. Great location for larger groups.

We met with my son and his family for the holidays before he ships out. We had a fabulous time. We have stayed in Imperial beach before. The location of his condo is great. Right across the street from the beach and pier. The pier is opened back up all the way to the end once again. The Christmas decorations were lit every night and looked great. Can't wait to go back.
If you stay here or at another location in the area please check the local church on your way home. They will take anything that is left over from your stay. Food, etc.

Great house, well stocked with garage parking, in an excellent location. We walked to most meals, shopping, and of course the beach. Easy drive to Balboa, Coronado, and downtown.

Exactly as shown in the listing. Beautiful property and neighborhood. Everything was within walking distance. We did go for groceries, and it was just a few-minute drive away. Loved everything about our stay! Would love to come back!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home across the street from the beach and IB pier. The boys loved the bunk beds and the bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable. Having the garage was a bonus since parking around the beach can sometimes be hard to find. There are a lot of places to eat within walking distance. Whether you want to go surfing, walk on the beach, or just relax on the balcony watching the sunset, there is plenty to do and enjoy here.

The home was super clean and close to the beach. It is spacious and provided what we needed to cook our own meals and enjoy the beach. The owners have added great little touches of things you might not think of when traveling like beach towels and toys and board games for those evenings inside. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to othes.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property very comfortable and cost everything.

We were a group of 7 people, 4 teen age boys and 3 other adults. The house fit us perfectly. The bed configuration was perfect. TV's in all the rooms was a bonus for keeping the peace. The garage is small, but we managed to fit a large Suburban on an angle into the space. The beach is so close that the boys could walk over. There are several restaurants along the beach, only a few can handle groups as large as 7. The area is beachy but overly touristy.

We liked this house and definitely recommend it to other families. We had two adults and two kids and it was perfect for our size, but would definitely hold more people sleeping wise.
PROS:
Close to beach & pier
Lots of restaurants a short walk from house
Washer/dryer
3 Bedrooms with extra bed options
Upgraded appliances/water/ice in fridge
Family games on site
TV in all bedrooms and living room
Garage for indoor parking
Beach stuff to use (though we didn't use on our trip)
Beds are comfortable
Small shower gel and shampoo in each bathroom (which was nice for my son who forgot to bring stuff)
CONS:
The bedrooms face the alley which has a lot of activity from early morning to late evening, (big trucks making deliveries and people throwing trash in the dumpsters. )
You need to bring the trash across the alley to a locked roll up door. My husband said the door is really heavy and doesn't stay up on it's own, so be careful here.
SIDE NOTE:
There are a lot of stairs, (3 levels) this wasn't an issue for us but if you have bad knees, know that from entering you need to go up 2 full flights of steps to go to bed.

The location was excellent, and the house is well maintained. The hosts also provided board games and beach supplies which kept the kids entertained throughout the stay.

We loved our time at this property. They really had everything that we needed. Especially loved having the surfboards and boogie boards. Communication was fast and easy and the property was clean, comfortable and family-friendly.

The house was very clean, organized, and had a very easy check out process compared to others we have stayed in. We absolutely loved the location! It was a 2 minute walk to the beach which was never too crowded, surrounded by multiple restaurant options, and multiple parks for kids to play! We loved that parking was easy since it had a garage as well. It is added to our list of places to stay again!

Great location, Great house.

We stayed here with my sister’s family - there were 9 of us including kids ranging in age from 6-18. It was perfect!! We had such an amazing time! The beach is literally across the street and all restaurants are within walking distance. The house was spotless and we were able to fit all the kids comfortably in the room with the bunk beds. Having the kitchen was so convenient for breakfast and walking back over for lunch. Would definitely recommend!
