Very easy to find. Host responded promptly to all questions. Property as described. Clean and had everything you'd need. We enjoyed the hot tub! I would recommend to anyone looking for a place.

Really liked the cottage. It's perfect for two and would be fine with 2 small children...need to be pretty nimble to get up the spiral stairs to the loft. Anything more than 4 people and I would book one of their other properties that are adjacent to this cottage. Close to the boat launch and even closer to a private ramp that charges $10 to lunch. Definitely worth it to avoid the mayhem of the public launch. Most amenities are within a couple of miles...groceries, beer/wine, Dunkin, CVS etc. Food in area is meh. We liked Wallenpaupack Brewing Company...didn't care much for the Ledges. Decent sandwiches at Lake Side Deli, across from the High School.

Great inside newly renovated! Very clean and comfortable. Spiral stairway is tight, steep and smaller width wise.Easy for kids. Upstairs sleeps 2.ceiling angle on larger bed prevents 2 people from using it. Great location. , close to lake. Kyaks were great. Outside area needs some attention ; no fire pit. It is a chemenia. Enjoyed our stay.

Had a great week staying at Wally’s cottage. Cute, updated cabin in the woods. Loved the hot tub and access to Kayaks. House had all the amenities we needed and plus. Host was great and communicated and got back to me right away with any questions and concerns. We were happy to be able to bring our dog on vacation, having a fenced in backyard was a plus! Will be happy to book the cottage again.

The cottage is described perfectly in the listing. You feel like you are staying in the rustic woods and when you go inside the place has everything!
It was super clean and all directions/instructions from the owners were clear and concise.
The back yard is fenced in so our dog had a wonderful time barking at sticks and deer! Visitors to the rental next to us had two dogs so they hung out together, it was great.
We were close by car to the lake and ice cream and the grocery store.
Would definitely return to Wallys cottage or any other property these owners offer!

My husband and I stayed here in May of 2024 for a long weekend. Our prior Poconos cabin getaway was a bit of a disappointment - aging buildings, not very clean, few modern conveniences.
This place was a very pleasant surprise! It has very new appliances, a large walk-in shower, a lovely two-person hot tub, a fireplace, HDTV (with an HDMI port if you bring any devices), 200mbps/25mbps (from what I could tell) Internet service (incredible for the location)… There was everything we could need.
Even though we were pre-season, there were a number of excellent restaurants taking reservations and open within a ten-minute drive. We recommend the Settlers Inn, Robin and Ravyn’s, and Glass wine bar and kitchen. There are plenty more of other more casual restaurants/pubs if that is your scene.
There are hiking trails, kayaking/canoeing (included with the property as first come/first serve), plenty of neat little shops, the lake is a three minute walk… I can’t say enough good things about this cute and cozy yet modernized cottage. Any couple or small family will feel at home with lots to do.
The property managers were incredibly kind and accommodating, going above and beyond with offers to help us with a small crisis we had that may have impacted the duration of our stay. They also responded immediately when I reported a previous guest had chipped a single wine glass (there were plenty more for us to use!) by delivering four more glasses the next morning!
We will be back!

Cute, cozy cabin in a quiet, small town near the lake and some beautiful hiking trails.
A lot of things to do around town and the nearby area, especially during ski-season or warmer months for outdoorsy fun on the lake.
Even if weather isn't cooperating, there's a good amount to do in the cabin or going to some local places to eat.
Would highly recommend to anyone for a weekend trip or a longer vacation escape!

This property was SO cute. Everything was super clean and the location was awesome. A 5 mins drive to a local brewery. It rained for our trip so we didn’t get to utilize the outdoor area, we wish we could’ve because it was adorable. The owners were awesome with keeping in touch as well. I am already planning a trip back to this property.

It's a comfortable, clean and cute house. Kitchen is well stocked. Bedding is comfortable. Neighborhood is very quiet and seems safe. If you are traveling with a dog, as I was, there are lots of interesting walks in the neighborhood including to the dock and boat launch just down the street.
The hosts were very friendly without being intrusive. They answered questions very quickly and were very responsive to one problem I ran into (missing remote that turned up with a more intense search).
I would definitely stay again.

Our stay was great! We made a last minute decision to go away for the holiday weekend and this place was great! It's hard to find a place that is pet friendly and also has a fenced yard. Plenty of space for us and overall a great time! We would definitely stay again!

We had a great first stay at Lake Wallenpaupack, and this cozy home made it that much better. Our dog loved the backyard to lounge around in, and so did we!
The proximity to the town of Hawley was helpful, as we tend to like to eat out when on vacation, and there were several eateries we could try out.
Not a negative, but just a note for any dog owners: if your dog has a hard time walking on uncarpeted floors, you may want to consider bringing some towels or small rugs for traction!
Overall, a lovely place to kick back by the fire and enjoy lake life.

This newly renovated cute cottage was just as advertised; cozy, clean, pet friendly and in the middle of nature. It was the perfect place to stay while visiting family in the surrounding area. Our dogs absolutely loved the fenced in yard. Thank you Erin and Matt.

For our fishing retreat, this cabin was everything we needed and more! Wish we had a longer stay but for the three days my brother, my 10 year old niece, and I were there, we couldn’t have had a nicer stay. The hosts have done a great job. The nicely furnished living room was comfortable and neat and the modern kitchen was a dream (nicer than my own!). Everything you could imagine was there for our needs. All appliances were new and in great working condition. Love the countertop with the window to look out over the “neighborhood” as we prepared our fish dinner. The little touches like well stocked silverware and plates, coffee grinds and non dairy creamers. The toiletries were a great touch as well as the clean sheets, towels, and bath mat. Loved the game shed tho we had no time to enjoy. Chimnea use on the last night was a great way to relax as we reflected on our time together. Such a great cabin that we want to come back to for a longer stay in September !! Thank you Hosts!
