Really nice hotel close to beach (private access is possible) with a very good restaurant
Bit noisy and far out … cannot do without car
2.0
price wise compared to other properties in the area it was good. we had big excursion days booked so didn’t want to spend a lot on accommodation that we wouldn’t be using for most of the day.
buffet breakfast was nice and a had a few options. staff seemed nice
•no privacy between the bathroom/bedroom.
•stained sheets (clean but still stained)
•no wifi code provided (luckily we ran into a chef as he was leaving and he gave it to us)
•no water in the water dispenser
• there’s no shop in the area so make sure to bring snacks and drinks

Cute little place , without the noise of main drag , and good food. Very hospitable with attention to detail by thee owner Sylvia who lives on the property.
Could do with some refurbishments.

we love this little diamond of hotel. Small and very friendly. The owner is there to ensure the well being of everyone. The room are very clean, well decorated and you have everything and more than you need.
I love the fact that they have dispenser for soap, shampoo and conditioner and no small plastic bottles. The food is delicious, and you have to try their pizza OMG, so good!

Everything perfect.

Really great for it's value! Manager Silvia was very nice. Breakfast is not very reach, but there was everything you need. Also enjoyed neing alone at the breakfast at the morning. This is also a great place for dinner, food is delicious!
You have an access to the beach, which is comfy.
No windows in the room - sometimes we really missed it, but did not seem a big problem all in all.
There can be Wifi issues, but we did not stay at the hotel too much, coming for sleepover only.
Place can be very noisy if some of your neighbours decide to come at late night - you will hear everything.

Lovely little place around 4k from the centre of Playa Del Carmen, not a lot else around apart from large hotels. Short walk to the beach, there was one beach bar on the beach. You would need a car if you were staying for any length of time. The cabanas were lovely rooms, large comfy bed. Food at the restaurant was amazing. We didn't have a car so walked up towards the highway a few times, around 25 mins walk to nearest shops and restaurants. We got a collective to Puerto Morelos one day, again it was a round half hour walk to the centre from the highway. Well worth a visit. Walked to PDC one day along the beach, busy bustling tourist trap, got a taxi back, not cheap but there are also collectivos that go along the highway. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
Couldn't fault the place. Bit disappointed with the seaweed along the coast so we didn't manage to win in the sea.

The place is nice and has access to the beach. Personeel is great and helpful.
Location is too remote to walk to the city or any other eatery. No ATM in a walking distance. If you want to go pretty much anywhere only with a taxi.

it’s quaint, easy access to beach through decimated hotel grounds. I love palapa cabanas and these are very nice! restaurant on par with expensive resorts surrounding, pricey but the food is good with a romantic setting for couples and saxophone musican.
The neighboring resorts had very loud trance music, not this property’s fault. I didn’t like the salt water shower.

Excellent resort with great location in the center of Playa del Carmen Beach, very clean & comfortable. Our bungalow, Amarillo, was quiet, spacious and well presented. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff of Sandy. On check-out, she made our trip more relaxed by keeping our luggages until late evening. The beach is literally within walking distance. Would definetely recommend this resort to everybody! It's a true sample of great hospitality. Thank you again Sandy for going just that little step extra for us as guests!!! 10 out of 10.
Just a minor point: the water in the shower was a bit salty

One of the best experiences I've had in my life. Extremely helpful and nice staff, who are always there, but in a very gentle way. Very convenient room, and I appreciated the welcome drink, as well as the complimentary coffee capsules. All of them are small things but make your stay much more enjoyable.
Maybe the prices could be improved in terms of food. They serve amazing food in a very nice ambient, at US mid-range prices, which you wouldn't necessarily expect in the Mexican beach area. Other than that, it was truly amazing.

Breakfast and the restaurant overall were very good
Water from shower and faucet has salty taste is not completely treated per the owner .
- the toilet area is open so you have no privacy

Nice garden, really great food, flank stake was absolutely amazing. We had a snake in the room (not poisonous :), personnel helped us to change the room.
The water in shower was very salty.

!Everything! This gem of a hotel is a very well maintained, well managed oasis just steps from the beach. If you are looking for a concrete, high rise Miami Beach style hotel....keep looking, Coco's is not for you. If you are looking for tranquility, warm service, comfortable beds, clean rooms and a restaurant that leaves you wanting to order everything on the menu....book now! You will not be disappointed! Special thanks to Don Jose for his saxophone and to Silvia, the lovely Mexican owner, for a truly amazing stay.
I truly cannot think of anything to put here....maybe that my stomach was not big enough to eat more of the restaurant's food.

We ended up deciding on this hotel at the last minute, not knowing what to expect. Once we arrived, we were greeted with warm, friendly service and a delicious meal for us to enjoy. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxing. A great place to unwind after many busy days of seeing the sights. The location is great. You’ll have to rely on a car, but if that’s not an issue for you, then you’ll be fine. They have a complimentary breakfast service where they will make whatever you want. The restaurant has an excellent, diverse menu, so there’s something for everyone to savor. There’s a beach within walking distance that has excellent snorkeling and soft sand that’s great to spread out on. The staff is truly spectacular. They’re all super kind and helpful, doing everything they can to make the experience even better. They even upgraded our room for free into a much bigger space. They also planned an awesome birthday surprise for me when I was least expecting it. Both my partner and I loved the experience so much that we didn’t want to leave. It’s definitely a gem tucked away between some of the larger hotels. It’s definitely worth the cost. If you’re looking for a place to stay that feels like home, then I think you’ll love Cocos Cabañas.
The parking could’ve been better, but they only have so much space to work with. So, it’s something we could work around. Otherwise everything was enjoyable and satisfied our needs.

Absolutely beautiful little spot tucked away amongst a bunch of huge resorts with direct access to the beach but a much more chilled out feeling and better food than the surrounding options. A little oasis.

Location, staff and facility are very nice!
I felt that the variety of breakfast was a little small.

Next to the beach, small hostal between big resorts. Team was very nice & helpfull (covid test &taxi) ; rooms clean. little outdated.
breakfast was very simple, fruit and bread with cheese or meat), and restaurant very close to the rooms; in the evening therefore bit noisy. very remote from any shops.
4.5
Beautiful property and good vibes all around.
pillows were hard and uncomfortable.

The suite was large and very nice. The hotel is lovely, with greenery around and close to the beach. The staff was helpful and the breakfast included was also good.
The hotel is a bit further away from Playa del Carmen, to the north, so you will need a car to go to the centre, or take a cab every time.
