We just stayed here for the night on our way down to San Francisco. It is very roomy and in a quiet neighborhood with lots of street parking. The nearby town seemed cute and had all the amenities one might need. Pretty close to Redwoods National Park as well.

Bigger than I expected. Great location, big backyard with outdoor games and fire pit. Loved it.

Perfect location for Arcata getaway.
Beds were insanely comfortable and home spacious and bright.

My main search criteria was 2 bed, 2 bath. This place had 2 bed, ONE bath! I passed a lot of much nicer 2 bed one baths to wind up with this substandard accommodation. The pictures didn't fairly represent the condition of the house, not to mention that I was cheated on the bathroom count. Also, I found a plate of an old dinner in the microwave, no hair dryer, no bath mat, and no dish towels for us to wash the dishes they requested. Vrbo obviously doesn't do their due diligence so never again!

This house reminded me of my grandma’s place, older with lots of character & perfect for my dogs & myself! I took a leap when I booked it, since there had been no reviews yet & I’m happy I did! It is older & not all the windows open & only a few have screens, but some of the windows have been replaced & are fabulous! The kitchen appliances are plentiful and I loved being able to do laundry since I was on a long vacation! The dogs loved the fenced yard (bigger than home), there is a fire pit & presto logs to burn (we didn’t use them) The bed was wonderful & the soaps/lotions provided smelled fantastic!! Downfall, the bedroom curtains are very light & at 6am the room was fully lit, so it made it hard to sleep in. There were no fans & YES they offered to buy one & drop it off for me, I denied it, but probably should have taken them up on the offer as the afternoon/evenings got pretty warm inside. I doubt I will make it that way again, but if I do, I would definitely check to see if this house was available
