Located just out of the centre, but within easy walking distance of this historic town centre with its cobbled streets and historic buildings, Fox House offers families and couples an exciting holiday retreat whilst being ideally located to explore all that Alnwick has to offer.
Sleeping six guests in three well-presented bedrooms, this holiday home is the perfect getaway to explore the Northumberland heritage coastline and vast countryside. The accommodation is set over three floors; the living area is a cosy place where you can relax in front of the Smart TV with DVD player and soundbar. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped for cooking and sitting around chatting. On the first floor are two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and TV, and the second with twin beds. The third bedroom is on the second floor and has a kingsize bed, TV and en-suite shower room. To the rear is a small patio area with seating.
When you’re ready to begin exploring this historic town, begin with a trip to the incredible and famous Alnwick Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the UK and used as ‘Hogwarts’ when filming scenes for the ‘Harry Potter’ films, so it’s a must-visit for any fans. Alnwick Garden is also an exciting visit with its spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall, poison garden and largest tree house in Europe where guests can dine in the restaurant. Heading 4 miles east is the picture-perfect coastal village of Alnmouth where there is a gorgeous golden sandy beach. A short drive west brings you to the small town of Rothbury, found nestled at the foot of the Simonside Hills and where the River Coquet ebbs and flows. A 20-minute drive north brings you to the pretty fishing village of Seahouses, explore a great selection of shops, inns, pubs, and eateries, plenty here to keep you entertained. Embark on a waterfront adventure and take a boat trip out to the Farne Islands where you can visit a bird sanctuary and spot seals for a truly memorable experience or walk down the promenade to nearby Bamburgh with its imposing castle, RNLI Grace Darling museum and golf club.
