Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found the "River Way Cottage" to be as described. It was clean, comfortable and supplied with everything we needed. Both bedrooms were spacious, as was the rest of the house.Surprisingly the road had quite a lot of traffic going by.It is likely only in September that apples falling on the metal roof would wake the guests as it did startle me awake several times the first night, but earplugs remedied that for the next 2 nights.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Terrible , dozens of insect bites after the first night. No help whatsoever from hosts, no fumigation, despite our numerous complaints. We had to sleep fully dressed, self sanitised the bedding the best we could ourselves ( washing, drying, using UV lights and disinfectant wipes.red welts all over us. Property managers ( Hope) promised full refund and also pay for our hotel stay but then recanted, She scheduled supposedly a fumigation after our departure 🙄😳 but 3 days after we left it is still pending ( per text from Hope). It is also terribly noisy, next door highway does not stay quiet ever, dogs next door bark, neighbours use power tools from sunrise to sunset ( literally!!!).

Our family had a wonderful stay here. The home was clean, comfy, and had almost everything we needed. The setting was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The kids loved watching the deer eat fruit off of the trees in the morning. So grateful for the games and puzzles that also kept them entertained. Overall a great stay and we would definitely book this home again.

Homey, cozy, beautiful, and hip! Had everything we needed and then some! Perfect location for enjoying a quiet night's rest with easy, close access to Arcata and beyond. Kind, responsive hosts - even left us a "Recommended Eateries" list. Loved our stay and will be back!

Our stay was wonderful and felt we had made a great choice. Centrally located to visit both the north and south redwoods. Not right in town with noise and no parking but minutes from Hwy 101-easy to find. The host had an "information bar" with pamphlets of area attractions. We enjoyed the deer visiting the yard to feed on the green grass and yummy apples. Made breakfast daily, we had more than everything we needed in the lovely updated kitchen. Lots of room to "move in". Hot water on demand so no one will run out. Thank you Joanna's mom for the dish cloths to remember our stay.

The cottage is comfortably furnished and well supplied with most of the essentials we needed and that was much appreciated. We enjoyed the outdoor areas. The location is several miles out of town but worked for us. Property managers were great. We would definitely consider renting the cottage again. Thank you, Karen & Mic

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Way Cottage. Everything was clean, updated, and comfortable. We also really appreciated the little signs posted around the house giving us useful information about the property and surrounding areas. Overall we had a very relaxing stay and would stay here again without hesitation.
