About this house rental
This cozy lake house offers fantastic access to southern Toledo Bend with a private boat launch just feet from the driveway. There are 2 twin beds, two full beds, a full kitchen, Wifi, and an outdoor fire pit to make your stay comfortable and fun. We'd love to have you in Hemphill!
VRBO doesn't let me accurately describe the bunk bed in the kid's room. It is a three bed bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom, and two twin beds above that. The only option it gave me was two bunk beds, which isn't quite accurate. But hopefully the pictures are clear about what is available.
We just replaced the dishwasher, refrigerator, two ceiling fans, toilet, kitchen faucet, vanity, washer and dryer, and chandeliers.
We have a large circular drive so you can get in and out quite easily with a boat. Probably the maximum truck/boat combination we can get in and out of the driveway is a half-ton, four-door truck with a 21-foot boat and trailer. The boat is 21 feet, the trailer adds a few more, of course. We have gotten a 3/4 ton, 21-foot boat in and out. But it's really tight at that point. If your rig is bigger than that, it probably won't fit. If it is that size, you may not be able to pull through. You may need to pull in and then reverse out. But if your rig is that size or smaller, I will not issue a refund if you have difficulty with the drive. So if you have specific questions before you book, let me know. Otherwise, I trust you can get a setup that size in and out with no problem as we have done it many times.
You will need to park your boat trailer at the house and walk to the house to get your trailer (as you can see it is very close) when you are done fishing for the day. I do encourage you to only drive 20 MPH once in the neighborhood as there are many golf carts and walkers on small streets.
This is a quiet neighborhood with many wonderful retired folks who live there. As we always do when we are there, we ask any guests to honor the peacefulness of the neighborhood.
Obviously this is a destination area for fishing! Lake life is the dominant attraction. If you need just about anything, though, Fairmount Landings is a wonderful collection of stores on your way to the lake house. There is a restaurant, ethanol-free gas, hardware store, bait/lures, general store, car wash, laundromat, and medical center. Definitely stop there on your way in for any odds and ends.
There should be coffee in the pantry as well as coffee filters. Creamer is in the refrigerator.
We do have exterior security cameras, but once we see that the group has arrived, they are turned off.

Home was perfect for us, everything we needed for the weekend. We were able to launch our boat with the nearby ramp. We will definitely book this one again.

House was a great find! Diamond in the rough for sure. We enjoyed our stay. Bonus was how close the boat ramp is! Just a very short walk, which is great as we could park the truck and trailer in the driveway instead of some random parking lot/boat ramp. House was perfect for our needs. The triple bunk is hard with teenagers, one slept on the couch instead. No cell service in the area was perfect for a phone free weekend. We would definitely rent again when we return to the area! The owner was very responsive before the rental and during the stay.
