It was cold and the noise was more than we expected

The check-in process was quick and easy. Hotel staff is amazing. Especially when I added nights. They made the process quite seamless.
My suite was decently priced, clean, and rather large with kitchenette. Perfect for entertaining guests.
The parking lot reception crew was great at handling my guests.
The ships cleaning crew is always at work day and night, keeping things neat and tidy.
Food and beverage options from the Chelsea Chowder house to the Promenade Cafe were just wonderful.
The Midship Marrktplace carries Starbucks branded products, and they do a wonderful job. Quick and convenient with a great selection of coffee drinks and pastries.
The Observation bar is a wonderful place to catch the sunset. It's where we found ourselves each evening for wonderful libations. 6 pm karaeoke Wednesday is a lot of fun.
The ships tour crew is well trained. A wealth of information. There are plenty of places to go on board and plenty of things to keep one occupied. You can check out the engine room, WWII exhibits, and more for free.
Lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes.
FYI, this is a great place for locals to come for dinner & drinks several nights a week. Parking validation available. Call ahead for details.

We had a great time dancing at the Observation Bar and staying at the Queen Mary. I would totally do that again.

Cause it’s haunted

So convenient for the cruise terminal. Ideal for a single night stay but wouldn't really want to stay longer as not much else around within walking distance and water ferry stops running after August

Very cool to stay on this historic ship! Rooms are huge and I loved catching the jazz band on the ship. Heat and a/c are older and do not always work efficiently. The front desk offered extra blankets or fans for this.

Love the Queen! Only problem was the walls were too thin and you hear the guy next to you snore or talk.

Excited to stay On an ocean liner similar to the Titanic, and other types. Really took me back in time, and I am sure others will feel to same. Different bucket list thing to do. Room was clean, large , very period type furniture . No room service, a bummer, a picturesque location easy to get to.

Disappointed. No heat. Property worn out. Cancelled our cruise parking because they actually scheduled a rave in the parking lot. No notice. I was in the Navy…boat is nasty. Excuse for everything…old boat…is lame. They’ve had 60 years to make this amazing…Fail

The accommodations were satisfactory, although the facility is dated and in need of renovation. The proximity to the cruise terminal was advantageous, allowing for easy walking access. I would recommend this option to individuals embarking on a Carnival cruise, as there is often significant traffic congestion on the bridge leading to the terminal on embarkation day. However, it is important to note that there are limited activities and attractions in the immediate vicinity of the Queen Mary. Guests may need to utilize transportation services, such as Uber, to access downtown Long Beach, which incurs a round-trip cost of approximately $24.

Hard to find room and no one available to help. Bed not level - head lower than feet. No place to set luggage other than bed. Very few food options.
Bathroom needed repairs to floors and floor boards.
Not worth the fee to stay there.
I would recommend people definitely Visit the QM but not to spend the night.

We are catching a cruise and this hotel is right next door to our cruise. It’s a 10 minute walk to carnival cruise line. The junior suite is very spacious and the beds are comfortable. Thank you!

This place is so unique! Our room was very clean and it had been updated some, but they still kept a lot of the historic charm. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that there was a halloween crnival infront of the hotle and we were not able to get good photos. And we did not see a ghost! lol!

I went on a field trip to the Queen Mary when I was in High School. Ever since that trip, I’ve always wanted to stay; and experience what would be like to stay in a ship of that era. Finally after so many years I was able to achieve that.
We were there for the Harbor Horror Night event, and decided to book a night at the Queen Mary. Our experience staying at a historic place such as the Queen Mary was overall, a good experience. Room was vintage, with a few modern touches. Beds were okay, as well as the pillows. For being such an old ship the water pressure for the shower was great, the water pressure for the sink wasn’t the best, but it was decent.
We liked the fact that we were able to walk around the ship and explore(obviously without disturbing the other hotel guests). We also had a good discount for the tours offered, for being hotel guests, that was a plus.
The only reason why I gave it a 4 star instead of 5. It’s because the two restaurants at the Queen Mary aren’t the bests. Food could be better, specially if they only have two restaurants in the whole ship. The ship is not within walking distance from other food places, so I feel like they should offer more or at least better food. Also they should accommodate for different diet restrictions.
But overall it was a good stay. Next time we stay there, we would like to stay in one of the so called haunted rooms.
I would recommend to stay at the Queen Mary if you want to check it off your bucket list, as I did.

Our stay during the Dark Harbor event was great. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms, being as old as they are, have a sort of patina that is to be expected, but overall very clean. The tour guides were on point too, shout-out to Kaden (spelling?), who was a delight! 10/10 would stay again.

We love the Queen Mary. It’s old, a little run down, with uneven floors and tired interiors AND THATS THE POINT. You don’t stay there because it’s new and flashy, you stay there because it’s old and historic, and filled with history. So many young men and women rode that ship to WWII and never came back. Many new European brides rode it to America for their chance at a new, better life. It’s Jo wonder there are possibly ghosts in board. I sure hope there are.

Second stay at the Queen Mary and as the first, the stay was memorable. We missed so much the first time, we are so glad we came back. And….DARK HARBOR NIGHTS is definitely worth it!

The hotel staff and service was amazing. The room that we had was quite big for being on a ship with a decent shower.
My only recommendation will be not to eat at the restaurants. We had dinner and then breakfast. Both are dinners Little to zero flavor and I had the breakfast buffet and it was barely above the complimentary breakfast you get at other hotels
Both staffs for the hotel and restaurant were amazing

So disappointed. Our family was excited, only to arrive to a massive carnival right outside our room. No warning when booking, just a notice when checking in that it would be loud from 8pm- 2am all 3 nights so we’d have to wear ear plugs if we wanted to sleep. For the price, I guess maybe I would have appreciated a heads up. Then, we had to walk 10 minutes to parking that we also had to pay for since the carnival was occupying the hotel parking. The ship was cool, but the bar and restaurant staff were not so friendly and unaware of drink and menu items. Overall, it was a waste of money for a family vacation and I wish we would have stayed at a regular hotel.

The hotel was clean but in need of updating and cosmetic repairs. Also, we werent aware there would be an event going on outside our room ( portside of ship)that went on all night. It would've been nice and respectable for the hotel to have given us a room on the starboard side of the ship.

Getting to the ship was chaotic, due to a carnival in the parking lot — but we got there, with the help of a bellman who carried my octogenarian mother, my niece and her two preschool aged children in a golf cart, with most of our luggage. My son and I wheeled our largest bags as we walked behind the gold cart.
We retrieved all our bags, went up the elevator to check in. Though I’d booked 2 rooms, one was put in my niece’s name (I don’t know why), so we had difficulty at check in because only one room could be located. Once the problem was identified and rooms assigned, we made our trek to the furthest end of the ship. We were not offered bell service and I did not know they had an on-ship bellman until the following morning! This walk was DIFFICULT for my mom who requires oxygen!
We learned that the staterooms did not have individual temperature controls at check in. We were advised we could call for blankets, if cold, or a fan, if hot! It was COLD! Though the rooms had 4 sets of outlets, including one in the bathroom, ONLY ONE worked in each room! I unplugged our tv and satellite box to charge our phones. Neither outlet was able to power mom’s oxygen machine, so she did without it for the night! She was EXHAUSTED the following morning!
I did secure a bellman to move our luggage and transport to the cruise terminal in the morning. My niece and son followed with the largest bags.
I would NEVER recommend the ship as a hotel, but for its proximity to the cruise port!

When staying in Long Beach, the first choice is always the Queen Mary. It has made a remarkable recovery from the Covid and former operator days. There is no more elegant place for a drink than the Observation Bar. The rooms are spacious for a 1930's historical ship and amenities have been modernized to the extent possible. Why stay in a generic modern hotel when the Queen is available?

We loved our stay at the QM, especially during the Halloween season, it was fun. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and we LOVED the Promenade Cafe . . the Fish & Chips were the best we've ever had (except for Alaska! hahaha).

The noise in our room was unbearable starting at 5 pm. We knew there would be some noise, but for $388 a night, that was not good. We had to beg to trade rooms. Very poor customer service. They lied about being sold out. Eventually they moved us after my husband showed them we could still book a room online. We likely wont stay again. We often cruise, and use the QM as our jumping off point. No more.

The Queen Mary is a must to stay. Built in 1936, it is an antique, everything is original so be prepared to stay in something old. We enjoyed touring the ship and hearing and seeing stories of people who traveled on the Queen Mary.

Just loved the history of the place. All of the art deco, just everything.
Staff was very nice and said that the walls are very thin, but did not mention that the rooms were only tended to after the third night. Called and room service did bring fresh towels and more bottled water.

Our 3rd time visiting the QM. Finally got to experience their Dark Harbor which was a blast as well. This is one of my favorite places to stay in CA.

I like boats, fancy hotels and museums. This is all three plus restaurants and a bar.
I checked in late and was amazed that I could still wander the decks and exhibits as if I lived there.

Waiter in Promenade Cafe was terrible. Food was good.

It was great! However except the parking. When having an event make sure you leave close parking for your patrons that are spending the night.
