My daughter is a student at UA, and usually when we visit, we stay closer to campus. Since we were coming for the long Labor Day weekend, we decided to get a lakehouse for our home base.
It took us about 20-30 minutes depending on game day traffic to get to the University, but the drive is scenic and didn't bother us. We loved having the peace of the lake right outside.
Tanner was very responsive to all of our questions and needs. We had a very nice stay.

We stayed during the July 4th week and the property is exactly as described, beautiful. Can’t beat the view on the lake. The property owner communicated with us the whole time making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Loved this property and all the activities available…clean and comfortable. The air conditioning went out the first day…I only mention this to point out the fact of how quickly they got it resolved!! I reported it at 7am and they had someone out to fix it in a few hours which was awesome. I would stay there again!

Perfect fit for some quality family time at the lake! The pictures are accurate and there was plenty of space in the house to stretch out. The dock is a good size with access to the lake by ladder. On rainy days there are added fun games for entertainment. Tanner is a wonderful host and very responsive and helpful. We can’t wait to return next summer!

Tanner was excellent throughout the whole process! The house is amazing, clean and stocked. Beautiful views, lake was refreshing and fishing was good. The amenities of golf, arcade, ping pong, etc were fully enjoyed by our 15 and 18 year old. We will definitely stay again! Thank you again Tanner!

The Maritime Retreat was a great place to stay, and the largest draw for us was the lake. Floats were complimentary, but there is opportunity for further expansion of lakeside amenities, and this could be a win-win proposal. The interior was clean, and comfortable, and there were no major issues. We dropped our oldest off at AU, and look forward to returning as we are able to visit. Roll Tide.

Tanner was a fantastic host and worked with us last minute to provide us with an incredible weekend! We enjoyed the deck and watching the boats go by! Very secluded. Nice neighborhood. We will be back!
