About this house rental
In a slice of heaven known the world over as paradise, it takes something pretty special to stand out. And at this contemporary property, it’s the smallest, most luxurious and most thoughtful of touches that help to create the biggest impact. Stretching out along the glorious Noosa River, the 4-bedroom retreat, which can cater for 12, looks to the comfort, privacy and pleasure of its guests as the cornerstone of the design. Nowhere is this more evident that in the configuration of the bedrooms, with couple-friendly options enhanced by a bunk room featuring double beds lying bunk-style underneath singles. This is ideal for parents who want to room in with their littlies in an all-new holiday environment and speaks volumes to the care that has gone into every aspect of the interiors.
Other features that showcase the importance of small design touches – this time for a wonderful sense of style – include an inviting pebble bath positioned by a window looking out on lush natural greenery, a double-height ceiling over the kitchen to flood the cooking zone with beautiful natural light and the elegant use of multicoloured timber throughout, from window shutters to floorboards, railings and even cupboards.
Downstairs, the spacious open-plan hub is a masterclass in understatement, beautifully zoned for living, relaxing and dining, with easy access from the fully provisioned kitchen. A soothing array of neutrals in earthy materials such as timber and stone create an unparalleled sense of comfort, but also serve as a canvas to spotlight the home’s centrepiece – the magnificent water view.
Positioned right on the river, the elegant property frames a slice of life that evolves throughout the minutes and hours of each day as the sun and later moon make their journey across the surface, echoed by the boats and ferries below.
Accessed through an enormous full-width set of stacker doors that seamlessly slide back to open the indoors up to the great outdoors, the alfresco timber terrace is a relaxation centre, restaurant and fun park all in one. Comfortable seating lets you grab a perch in or out of the sun, whether you have a good book in hand or simply want to river watch the day away. A barbecue is an invitation to grill an alfresco feast under cover – made all the more memorable if the catch of the day is reeled in from your private pontoon. A wet-edge pool screened by pandanus trees creates a private oasis, while two enclosed balconies overlooking the space from above offer another avenue for outdoor enjoyment, from a chill zone for meditation to a cosy spot to settle in on the cushioned daybeds with celebratory champagne.
With amenities including a private media room, the home is a true oasis, yet the delights of this part of the world are an invitation to open the front door and embark on an adventure. By foot, Quamby Place and Hastings St are but a 10-minute stroll away, both worth the walk for offerings that include the area’s prime fine-dining experiences, and so much more. Head to world-famous Main Beach for a day of splashing and sandcastles, explore the area’s lush natural attractions or grab a coffee and simply dedicate yourself to the art of people watching.
From there it’s time to head home and perhaps enjoy a last look over the water as the day’s activity gives way to the peace of night, enlivened only by the soundtrack that is Mother Nature. This, truly, is paradise found.
