Newly constructed in 2023, this two-story, rustic/industrial cabin boasts a breathtaking interior with floor-to-ceiling windows, Little River views, high-end amenities, and exquisite comforts. Venture out a bit to experience a number of popular attractions including the Sinks, the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, and Ober Gatlinburg, all within 20 short miles of your door. You'll also find a grocery store within walking distance as well as a friendly local brewhouse.

The open-concept island kitchen offers everything the visiting chef in your group will need to prepare anything from fresh-brewed morning coffee to elaborate, full-course dinners. Dine indoors or gather out on the deck for a memorable alfresco experience overlooking the water. Back inside, bask in the glow of the towering, custom fireplace while you sit beneath 27-foot vaulted ceilings and stream your favorite TV channels on one of seven TVs. Upstairs in the open loft, guests of all ages are sure to have a wonderful time playing pool, enjoying games of Ping-Pong, going head-to-head on the cocktail-style arcade game tables, or kicking back in one of two private media rooms to watch movies and shows.

And back outside, soak away your cares in the soothing hot tub before gathering at the firepit to tell stories, roast s'mores, and watch stars dot the night sky.

First Off, I booked this location for my “Annual Girls Float “ this will be the 8th year we have floating The Rat all together. We have all been watching this location and it’s phenomenal build out over the past years and once it became a rental with that cute little bear advertisement outside I knew that we would book it eventually!!! This Home Was Absolutely Stunning. 🤩 The attention to detail was Phenomenal. I applaud the owners on a Beautiful Buildout and thinking of all the awesome options to making a rental fun for its guests!!! The home was very clean and offered all cooking needs for entertaining a big group. I was worried about the sleeping arrangements for my group however It slept our group wonderfully. Once booked the team sends out a 3D version of the layout which helped tremendously upon arrival and scheduling of beds. Real Estate is always about Location, Location, Location!!!! With that said, Our Favorite thing about this house was its Location!!! We walked to so many fun things that Townsend had to offer and the other were a short distance drive. We can’t wait to book the home again in the future!!! 🤩

The cabin was very nice and very well stocked. Just needed some more trash bags and toilet paper, but the towels were plentiful, as well as kitchen amenities. The windows didn’t have any shades which meant you were up as soon as the sun came up and it was difficult to access the river without any formal steps, but other than that it was nice.

The cabin was beautiful, its location on the Little River was amazing, and there were multiple great restaurants within biking distance. We’ve already recommended it to multiple families and would certainly return if/when our vacation plans bring us back to Townsend!

Great location, beautiful house! We had 6 adults and 3 toddlers with plenty of room. 12 would be a tight squeeze especially because sound travels throughout the house easily. Would definitely recommend for your next Townsend trip!

The place is absolutely beautiful! Location is great as well. You are close to fuel and food. The beds and pillows are very comfortable! This is our official spot to stay when we come back each year. You truly feel at home. Being a woman, I would love for the hot tub to burn the demons off of me when I get in lol. However, I understand why it has a strict setting. The communication and detailed instructions are wonderful in every aspect. Please be mindful and respect the neighbors. They all seem quite lovely. If you are looking for a loud party spot in the middle of nowhere this is not it. This place is quiet and very peaceful. It's super kid friendly. We loved waking up to the sound of the birds and access to the balcony from our rooms. We love it so much, we did not want to leave!

This property was perfectly nestled by local restaurants and breweries, and provided the perfect spot for us to relax after our wedding. From the fire pit from a salvaged tree to the game rooms, this cabin was perfect for activities and relaxation. You can drink your coffee on a porch swing then go a few miles to a local cave. The property was built with care, which shows in its design and furnishings. I can’t wait to come back!!

My girlfriends and I love to take a trip where we can find peace and serenity; a refuge from our busy lives. This home is THE BEST we have found. Not only is it absolutely beautiful, but it has every comfort you could imagine. We played games, sat around the fire pit in the evenings, enjoyed the hot tub, cooked meals, chilled on the beautiful porch overlooking the little river, and enjoyed watching all of nature. When we first put our heads on our pillows, it was like sleeping on big puffy clouds! This home is within walking distance of great food, ice cream, groceries and supplies. We can’t wait to come back! If we could put more than 5 stars, we would!

Modern mountain lodge with every amenity you could want. Plenty of parking, outdoor games and room for the kids to run. Super location, quiet street, backing up to the river and just 3 blocks away from the local grocery store, brewery and ice cream shop. We will be back!!

My husband and I had been so looking forward to our stay at Black Bear - Little River Cabin...Townsend has always been a favorite spot for us and we have had many visits but Never like our stay at Black Bear. This cabin was built with Finess, Passion and it is exquisite through and through. You can tell every inch of this home was thought out and special in one way or another. Its fully furnished with handmade bedroom furniture and many unique pieces. The beds are extremely comfortable for a great night sleep. From the moment you walk in there is a warmth of peace and happiness, with all the comforts of home. If it's cold, you can enjoy the fireplace and the cozy living room or enjoy the outdoor firepit. The house is stocked with fun games for the whole family to play and gaming for the young. The mountains and views are amazing, the neighborhood and town people are friendly and inviting. You can take a walk, a bike ride or enjoy a car ride through the Cades Cove Scenic Loop/National Park...This cabin in built on the river where the water is so calm and inviting. Sitting out on the upper deck back patios is one of the most peaceful enjoyable moments of our trip watching the sun go down and that natural beauty. We so look forward to coming back to Black Bear during the summer months when the river will be full of people fishing, tubing and enjoying the peaceful side of the Smokies. I highly recommend if you want to go home with No Regrets, and a smile on your face from an amazing get away, that you invest your time and stay at the Black Bear. We’ve been visiting Townsend for many years and have never been more impressed with a home away from home as we have here. The location is prime. Walking distance to stores and steps to the infamous winding river in the heart of the Smokey Mountains . Traveling with family is a breeze when you have a fully stocked kitchen complete with all necessities whether bringing home takeout or cooking an entire family meal. We were here during the Christmas season and enjoyed the decorated Christmas tree the beautiful lights and garland around the railing. It checked all the boxes especially three coziness of a traditional mountain cabin experience. The beds are sooo cozy, as were the upscale linens. The boys loved their rooms upstairs complete with tv, arcade games and fun sleeping arrangements. Outside under the covered patio is an amazing hot tub with hammocks and corn hole, sidewalk chalk, you name it…there was always something to do, when doing nothing at all! The best part was that we were able to still enjoy the outdoors even in the rain. The spacious lower deck is just an addition to the usable space inside which made this large size cabin almost double in size. Families are more than accounted for here! What an exclusive opportunity it was for us to stay here and anyone looking for the perfect balance of rustic modern, cabin on the river and luxury retreat you have to stop scrolling and book now!!!

House and location are 5 star. We enjoyed just being in the house hanging out together. Then we enjoyed short walks to restaurants, grocery store, ice cream, and the playground! Our grandchildren call it the great “mountain house!” The fire pit was a hit too, and the s’mores. We look forward to staying here again!

Simply put the Best short term rental experience we’ve ever had. Literally River Front Luxury at its finest. Our family didn’t want to go home. It was stunning, it was bright and comfortable. From the massive Hot Tub overlooking the river to the Aspen-wood furniture in the bedrooms to the 65” & 70” ultra modern flat screen TV’s everything was First Class. The custom made pool table turns into a ping pong table. The kitchen is out of a magazine on World Class kitchens. The bathrooms were breathtaking. The floor to ceiling glass and multiple sliding glass doors brought the nature indoors every day. The wood work was everywhere, the Nature rails were mind blowing beautiful. The swings, the hammock, the outdoor furnishings it was all like a dream come true. I have not made s’mores with our grandkids in years. Did we talk about the location yet? Walking distance to grocery, pizza, to a craft brew house, even to the Townsend visitors center all a short fun walk. Super easy to park multiple cars and so close to the GSMP hiking and biking. We will come back again and again, highly recommend. Hoping we can get back in as this cabin will stay booked that’s for sure. “Enjoyed It”
